We were feeling pretty stressed out on a Friday night when we first called Drain It Rooter (thanks to their Yelp reviews and the fact that they were listed as having 24-hour availability). Our new irrigation system in our new house was suddenly leaking profusely at the same time that several other things were malfunctioning (Mercury in retrograde seems more real than ever)! Jorge was here within two hours despite traffic, diagnosed the problem(s) and made the leak stop for the weekend. He was back first thing Monday morning and ended up spending most of the day here, fixing the root cause of the leaking irrigation and several other problems we didn't even know yet that we had. He was very patient, and made sure we understood how things worked, why they malfunctioned, and the pros and cons of the solutions. He is armed with lots of high-end equipment, like a Scope and 3000psi Hydro Jet. A scope is so necessary, to diagnose & verify. My kitchen sink/garbage disposal line clogged last night around nine. After trying to get the clean out cap outside off in the dark, taking the "p" traps apart and snaking them, I put the drain lines back together and the line was not only still clogged but one of the traps now had a significant leak! I found Drain It Rooter on Yelp and because of good reviews but mostly because it said they were open till midnight I called. Jorge answered at 1130p quoted a price and promised to come over at 9a (this morning). It turns out the clean out was downstream of the clog so the snaking had to be done from under the sink. The complication was that the snake was being diverted up the vent pipe instead of down to the clog. Jorge very patiently and methodically solved the problem and repaired the trap and insured that future drain clearing would be easier. He could easily have charged more for his time but he honored his quote and only added the price of the new parts. I can't say enough good things about him, plus he is a vet, if that is important to you. read more
