It's even better when you get it straight from the source. What I love: An expanded selection of small-batch beers you won't find anywhere else. There were like 3 IPAs I'd never heard of before. They even had a lager made with pickles! (not my thing, but it has fans). You can also tell right away this spot is great for large groups, and the patio is like 50 feet long--probably amazing in better weather What I like: You can't go wrong with the food, either. I'm a big fan of the southwestern egg rolls (a better rendition of them than a certain chain restaurant). The sandwiches are decent. Nothing really sticks out as a signature item, and nothing is made with a particular beer pairing in mind, but I'll forgive them--it's solid food. When it cools down a bit, I'll certainly return here to try more lesser-known beers and a snack. The location is a little out of the way, but you won't regret going a couple miles outside of downtown for this.

It seems a bit of an oversight to not have enough wings for a big night like that, especially since it was advertised as a special. I ended up ordering the guacamole and chips, and was disappointed when I received a tiny portion of guacamole which seemed ridiculous for $9. (I was not able to take a picture but I'm sure you can find one.) As soon as the game was over a DJ came out with a good set but it was way too loud considering he was two feet away and it was 8pm. We decided to leave after that.

I give them a pass because I like India Pale Ales and all things bitter. And I appreciate their dedication to having distinct varieties: Hazy, West Coast, and if you're lucky, one that's wacky and unfiltered. The descriptions make it easier for intermediate hop fans to distinguish between Citra, Cascade, etc. These are not entry-level brews. The rest of the menu is pretty sparse. There's seltzer, and it's mid. One Stout, one Porter, one Pilsner, and so on. I will often find something I like here, and I will gladly dub it the best place in town to sit somewhere peaceful and pound a couple hoppy beers. But there's just not enough going on for me to really recommend it to the average person.

There was only one unfriendly employee who said they didn't have time because they were making sandwiches in the back and then physically stepped up on me to move back from an arbitrary line at the end of the counter when I was simply asking if they were actually serving coffee. When I said "you know this is terrible service, don't you?" she responded with "I know ". Not sure why I wanted to be there anyway - the place is not clean - if you look, there's dust on everything.
