Mango wheat beer

Lovely large indoor space with AC and beautiful patio with misters and often live music. They have a variety of types of drinks on tap and some no alcoholic options. Love their discounts on Wednesdays when you bring your dog, and the Saturday morning yoga they used to offer!

Great beer choices (collabs too) plus wine, margarita, and NA beer in a beautiful location with the industrial factory brick look. The staff is super happy and it's just off Congress and on Toole Ave. Perfect spot if you want to grab a drink before heading to 191 Toole. They also have a very large front patio with pit fireplaces, plenty of seating, sun shades, and sometimes live music. When there isn't music, they have speakers outside where they play popular songs. Parking is a bit of a problem on a busy weekend but during daytime hours , I've found street parking or parked in a lot nearby.

We were exploring the murals downtown when we decided to stop by this place for a refresher. It was super hot outside. Nothing that a cold beer couldn't fix. It was midday, and there was only one other patron. We were given samples of some of the beer, but the One in a melon blonde was the star. It is a perfect summer beer with a hint of watermelon. I also tried the Noche dulce porter. The Porter was not heavy are overly sweet. They offer different size pours and flights I snacked on the shrimp tacos. They were delicious. They were more of a quesadilla. Great flavor. The order comes with three tacos. You order at the bar and pick up outside. They are pet friendly inside and out. They even have self served dog beer. They have inside and outside seating. The place is big with plenty of seating. The outside patio has shade. Parking is tough. There's only a few spots and since they were full when we arrived, I assume the other businesses share the spots. The barkeep working that day was friendly. She gave us great recommendations. The place has a very laid back atmosphere. The decor is fun.

3.5 stars. Nice brewery downtown. Tons of outdoor seating and loved the ambiance. Unfortunately, there was a private party setting up and we got kicked off the patio. Checked their website and social media ahead of time to see if any events were going on before heading there with a large group-- totally would have picked a different brewery if we knew we were going to get moved after 20 minutes. It might have been a blessing in disguise because there were a ton of kids running around and parkouring off the ramps and side of the neighboring building. Beers were fine, the horchata was the best. Tacos were also fine and the salsas were legit.

Ranchero taco and a sip

I hadn't been here in a while and stopped by for a little sip and bite. Wow - I'm glad I returned! Wonderful beertender let me try a few before settling in my mini-mug of brew, which paired marvelously with the very scrumptious ranchero taco. I could keep eating those... anyway they've always had a great space and good beer, and I'm happy to report that it's still a solid act.

I went here on a Friday evening before a comedy show with my husband and some family. We had a quick but enjoyable experience. We were able to sit as we pleased. They have an indoor and outdoor seating as well as more private-like seating that has pool tables. There's also video games and a couch area, as well as board games you can take back to your table. Of course they also have a bigger selection of beer on tap. I'm not big on beer but I tried a cider for the first time (it was a peach flavor) and I loved it! Though you order at the front counter, you pick up your food at the food truck on the side. It's a pretty cool set-up that's great for groups . I ordered three tacos (the ranchero, the taco Loco and another one I can't remember the name for). I liked the one with the bacon, most. I felt the one with the mushrooms with a little too chunky for my liking, but it was actually my husband's favorite. They have fun themed nights including a trivia night weekly it looked like. I think I'll be back to check that out!

I've come here for different events, Yelp, UofA talks but mostly Monday night Disc Golf putting league. Great indoor and outdoor seating areas.

I'm a fan of borderlands beer but came for margaritas for National Marg Day! I had no idea that they sold margs. I got the mango and prickly pear marg on the rocks but they do have a slushie version. They were very delicious. This is a great environment for hanging out with friends especially if you have a larger group.

Had a beer and some carne Asada quesadillas, as well as other things at the event. Had a great time

Tachos

Forgive me Borderlands, it has been seven years since my last review! This is a weekly watering hole and great place to hang. And while Borderlands brews have stayed consistently delicious they have also expanded their offerings to include great bar food options including: Tacos, Tot-chos, Nachos. Lets get into beers my two favorites currently are the ever popular Noche Dulce and their Horchata Cream Ale. You can cmbine these two in a black and blonde fashion with something Borderlands folks call a Cass-Nasty. Try them separately or together either way its a winner. The bar food is traditional, rich and heavy fare. The tacos must be grilled in butter because they are straight decadent. The taco flight has 3 different tacos, share them with your table for safety. I also love getting the Tachos? think tater tot nachos, to split. Smothered and delicious these are a definite gut bomb and great to share. Borderlands also hosts BrewHaHa open mic comedy on Wednesday nights. So get some Brews and some Ha Has here.

Great beer garden and atmosphere! Loved the tacos and the frozen margarita. Service was fast and friendly.

Borderlands' amazing patio

Borderlands' downtown location has one of the best patios or beer gardens in Tucson and it's super dog friendly (inside and out!) I love their La Miche (A Citrana Gose-based Michelada with Borderlands' house mix) but the frozen margaritas are also excellent and there's a beer for every palate. Monday and Tuesday food is limited to (very tasty) Sonoran Dogs, but you can get tacos the rest of the week, which I highly recommend. My favorite is the taco flight which includes four different tacos (Carne asada, Barbacoa, Shrimp and Buffalo Chicken) and there's even a veggie option.) Service is always fast and friendly and on event and busy nights, there's usually an outdoor bar. This is the perfect spot for a casual night out with friends or even a larger event. There's plenty of seating and the vibe is always great.

Pretty interesting building there right on the train tracks. It's got a cool dive bar feel inside with a large beer and food menu, good variety there. I went with a flight to try a few - Mexican lager, Hefeweizen, razzberry, and a mocha Java stout (maybe messed up the names a bit, but you get the idea). The hefe was my favorite, and my husbands, too. The razzberry one was a close second, but I could have done without the other two, not my cup of tea but wanted to give them a try! I don't see Sonoran hot dogs on menus often and being new to Tucson, I've been super curious about them so that was my meal choice. DIVINE. It's hard to mess up a hot dog. But this was a really good hot dog. Would order again and again. The price was right as well - $7! We thought the entire menu was very reasonably priced, compared to others in the area offering similar varieties. My husband had a cheesesteak that he said was really good, he would also order it again. Overall, we had a solid experience. Good beer and good food. I do want to add that this isn't my first time attempting to visit Barrio - we tried once before but were blocked by the train. We tried to wait it out but didn't know how long it would be and gave up after about 15 minutes. Just kind of a bummer of a location for a place with good food and beer. I did see on their menu that they offer $1 off beer if you get stuck because of the train, that is a nice touch. But, there's no perks like that if you are on the other side. It looses a star for that.

The bartender was very busy but was friendly and working it behind the bar to get everyones orders in and out as fast as possible. I love the beer flight so I can try a little bit of everything. Great patio and inside is actually bigger than expected with lots of room in the back and there's a TV inside with board games, too. I tried the carne asada taco, burger with fries and nachos and they all were great. I especially loved how crispy the fries are and how the nacho chips stayed crunchy and never got soggy, plus the flavor was good. Nice little place to stop by for some drinks and food!

It seems a bit of an oversight to not have enough wings for a big night like that, especially since it was advertised as a special. I ended up ordering the guacamole and chips, and was disappointed when I received a tiny portion of guacamole which seemed ridiculous for $9. (I was not able to take a picture but I'm sure you can find one.) As soon as the game was over a DJ came out with a good set but it was way too loud considering he was two feet away and it was 8pm. I came for an event and immediately realized this is the kind of spot where every visit probably reveals something you missed the last time. The space is wildly eclectic in a way that feels intentional, not chaotic. You look up, you look around, you look again. There's a whole back area you wouldn't even know exists unless you wander, complete with its own seating and energy. Turns out they host yoga back there, plus a rotating lineup of events that actually feel community-driven instead of forced. Then there's the food situation. A Thai street food truck parked on site serving absolute flavor bombs. I had a curry tofu Thai taco--something I've never seen, let alone eaten--and it brought legit spice and depth. One of those "wait, why is this so good?" moments. Inside, the details keep stacking. A vending machine filled with mini purses, bath salts, and handmade artisan goods? Unhinged (affectionately). Swag everywhere. Walls that give you something new to look at every few seconds. And if that wasn't enough, they partner with Anello, which happens to be my favorite pizza in the city--so yes, that alone earns points. What really sealed it for me was how inclusive the menu is. A full non-alcoholic selection, vegan cookies and non-vegan options, so no one feels like an afterthought. Service was solid, friendly, and matched the laid-back but intentional vibe of the place. Honestly, I'm shocked it took me this long to make it to Crooked Tooth--but now that I have, I get it. This isn't just a brewery. It's a choose-your-own-adventure kind of space, and I'm already looking forward to the next chapter.
