Being that this place is close to home and I love Chinese food, I SO wanted to like this place. In the end, the food was pretty good. The Chow Fun was BOMB, actually. However, I'm trying assess if it was worth all the hassle and disappointment along the way. 1) The ONLINE MENU is VERY different from what the venue advertises: Online deserts = Fortune & Almond Cookies, Venue deserts = Egg Tart. Online I ordered Vegetable Chop Suey & it changed to Mixed Vegetables in the checkout summary and that's what I ended up with. The venue offers Appetizers & Salads (not offered online), and other items like Walnut Chicken, Bok Choy w/ Mushroom, etc. It was pretty disappointing to arrive and see all these other things I could have selected but was already paid for online & now I'm committed to the inferior online menu offerings 2) Once arrived AT DRAGON TAKEOUT around 6:15pm (they don't close for another 1' 45")- more disappointment. All the steam trays were empty and clean -- either as if closing soon or never filled in the first place. I assumed the latter, that perhaps these guys only do "made to order." Cool. They only had 2 workers for a Friday night at 6pm. The front guy spends way too much time helping the cook. As in, I sat at their table for 20min waiting for my food that was supposed to be ready 15min earlier. The front man came out three times for 30-60sec each, selecting items, etc. right across the counter from me. He never lifted his head to acknowledge that I was there. They have no doorbell to let them know someone has arrived. There is no window or opening for people in the back to see that there are customers out front. I expect their cash register will be stolen often. At 15min into my wait, the front guy put two, large, brown bags near the register. A customer walked in and told the guy his name for pick up. I thought it was those two bags just brought out. The front man rushed into the back for about 5min then came out w/ another bag and the customer left. This was now the 4th appearance by the front man without noticing me and ducking back behind the curtain, the two large bags at the register still there. I stood up and called to the man who came out. I asked if the bags were for Erik. He had to think about it, then said, "Yes." I asked why he let the other customer go in front of me when my order was right there, getting cold. He said he never saw me. Note: I'm a big man and was sitting in one of only two chairs in the corner, wearing a big plaid jacket, purple scarf and black beanie. I call BS on that. So, I'm not going to give up on this place. I hope they read their reviews w/ open minds. I'm guessing the front man is working just temporarily until they find more suitable staff. It's really obvious that he doesn't want to be there. I'll give it about a month and go back with both menu's at the ready, and order from inside... and I'll let ya'll know how it goes. Meh. Nothing to write home about. The chow mein was BLAND. And I mean BLAND! Had to add two packets of soy sauce just to give it some flavor. The vegetables are fresh and the schzewan beef, orange chicken and sweet and sour pork was pretty tasty, but overall just another average takeout spot. The meat portions in the 3 item combo plate are small. However, the veggie egg rolls are HUGE. They have raisins in them which I found a little odd, but they are fresh and taste pretty good. This is definitely not American Chinese fast food, like Panda, so if you're expecting a similarity, you won't find it here. read more

We decided to give this place a shot even though it had some negative reviews thinking that maybe the cook had a bad day, but I was wrong! The bad food reviews were correct. We ordered the following: Orange chicken, soggy not crispy at all and it had an odd beef flavor? Like they used the same oil from a beef dish. Pork fried rice. Horrible! It was not fried, instead it was greasy no flavor with a few chunks of day old tasting pork in the bottom container. Pork fried rice is supposed to be all wok fried together so the flavors mesh, wrong! Egg rolls. Frozen, cold and mushy on the inside sitting on a bed of cabbage that just made them soggy loosing all the crispy ness of the roll. So disappointed, would absolutely not recommend, and I'm not a picky eater but this food was seriously bad. I want my $26 back. read more

I ordered Kung pao shrimp, paid extra for it. I got it with chow mein noodles, and fried rice. I also ordered eggrolls. The shrimp was the most disgusting I've ever tasted, it was obviously frozen shrimp, and the sauce was very spicy, no peanuts. I only ordered this because I like the crunch, which there was none. I would've rather had a cup of noodles. The eggrolls were so tiny, it's like the size of a finger. Way too expensive, everything was mushy inside. I will never ever ever order from here again, and this is my second time ordering. Also the chow fun noodles are a joke. Seriously, a cup of noodle taste better than this place. read more

First and last time ordering at this place. Ordered two orders of fried chicken wings, each $4.99. Well, they weren't wings, but two chopped up drumsticks that were fried. Yuck, it was literally all bone. Just gross and wasted $10. The BBQ pork tasted like it had sat for days, dried up and cardboard texture, waste of $9.99. The dumplings were soft and the sauce that came with them was GREAT. The rest of the food: fried rice, chow mein, sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, and gen tso chicken were overall pretty bland. Spice was the main flavor. We used the sauce from the dumplings to give everything flavor and supplemented everything else with sauce blends we make in our own house. read more

Stopped in to get a Thai tea with boba. I have heard they are good. The person at the front counter went back to make it. I saw him twice stirring the boba in the pot and eating ( tasting) it with the same spoon he was stirring with and going to serve me with. Never again will I come to the place. read more

I'm not sure what changed during covid but below there are reviews on nonexistent menu entries (for example this place doesnt serve dumplings, fried PORK rice, (theres only fried rice) as i remember a few weeks ago) I hope this place never goes away as there really is no place like this. i can say at the very least that their green beans, szechuan beef, kung pao chicken, and black pepper beef as well as their fried rice were exquisite relative to their price. For those complaining they got served the wrong item or they waited for the staff to come to the front, please consider double-checking your order when youre paying, and to just yell "hello" into the kitchen. read more
