The Xxplosive came with jalapeños, but I asked them to leave on the side for folks that couldn't Handle spicy. This meant we did ate raw jalapeño. This was definitely a fan favorite. Highly recommend if you like a sweet and spicy flavor profile. For the Lodi Dodi, it was good. A few of my friends like it but not something in my flavor preference. I was recommended the Detroit Style "White Square" ($35 - 6 square slices). It was ready in 26 minutes and 52 seconds. The "White Square" includes mozzarella, ricotta, garlic, and Romano. My family and I absolutely adored its unique & crunchy pan-seared crust; however, its fluffy body tasted dry and muted. Which is Detroit style pizza with pepperoni and a sprinkle of basil. They used the cupped pepperonis which is crucial because these tastes much better. I finally stopped by Pie Trap Pizza to try their pizza. The Pizzeria is located in Arrow-Grand Business Park, next to Arrow Lodge Brewing Company. There is a nice patio outside with outdoor seating. There is an option to order a slice of pizza of your choice. I ordered supreme Clintel pizza and Deez Knots. -The Supreme Clintel pizza had Mozzarella, pepperoni, mushrooms, red onions & red sauce. The crust was perfect and had a light texture. The toppings were generous and delicious. -The Deez Knots came with marinara. The order included six garlic knots. It was soft, buttery with adequate flavor of garlic. The service was fast. It took around twenty minutes to receive my order. The staff were nice and friendly. I was several to many delicious beers in at this gem of a brewery in Covina. Anyone in the area should check out Arrow Lodge Brewery. They're filled with satisfying craft beers. But even better they're literally connected to this whole in the wall of a pizza joint called the Pie Trap. It was as if I was seeing water in the middle of the desert. Pizza was available right next door to where I had just been digesting the heavy barley and reassessing my life decisions, as beer tends to make me do. And even better, the pizza is good, real good. And not just when you're drunk but after the liquid munchies have exited your hospitable liver. The XXplosive pizza is a particular favorite amongst the locals and myself. Pepperoni, jalapeños and Mike's hot honey sauce might just be the new Pedialyte. My fellow beer and cocktail drinkers know what I'm talking about. I also ordered a pizza that was supposed to have chicken on it. Apparently there's a nationwide chicken shortage that nobody told me about, because the few pieces of chicken they put on there were microscopic and scattered so sparsely across the pizza that I had to go searching for them. Calling it a chicken pizza is being extremely generous. To make matters worse, the entire pizza was overly salty. Between the burnt crust, lack of toppings, and excessive salt, it was disappointing from the first bite to the last which was the last bite I throw the whole thing away. What I don't understand is how some of the reviews are raving about this food. The pizza I received felt like it was made with no pride, no attention to quality, and no respect for the customer. Serious question: would the people making this pizza actually be happy if this was served to them? If not, why is it acceptable to serve it to paying customers?
