    My BFF brought his home for us for dinner... And I was really happy because I've been wanting to try Pie Trap Pizza for a while. He ordered the supreme pizza and buffalo wings. I love their NY style pizza... the flavor was great. I did like the buffalo wings, but they were a little on the salty side. I definitely wanna try their Detroit style Pizza next. Make sure to put this on your bookmark and stop by next time you're in Covina.

    The pizza just slaps. Don't even get me started on the garlic knots... a must try. Located next to Arrow Lodge, you can have a fresh slice and wash it down with a brew. The service is great, and the food is served piping hot! A must try!

    This place serves delicious NY & Detroit style pizza. Ordered by the slice and got the Xxplosive (pepperoni, jalapeños and Mike's Hot Honey) and The D (square pie with pepperoni and basil) and both were delicious just like in NYC! Definitely will be back to try the other pies and the meatballs and Deez (garlic) Knots.

    Really great service. Came in and was greeted by the guy working the register. Really great vibe. I ordered the Lodi Dodi for pick up and just had to wait a couple minutes. First time trying this type of pizza and it was really good. A little heavy on oil, but what can you expect from pizza.

    Drove 45 minutes to try and it blew away my expectations, staff were super friendly and the pizza was amazing.

    Best pizza in the area for sure. Nice thin crust and great toppings. Ordered cheese, xxplosive and pep. I reviewed the buffalo chicken instead of cheese by accident, but decided to give it a try. Didn't love the buffalo chicken and regretted not bringing up the mistake because we liked the cheese best the last time. Anyway, there is really no bad pizza, just degrees better so all good. Happy to keep trying their slices and hope to order a full pie at some point so we can try one fresh. I guess cheese will have to the one we get next time!

    Great slice to accompany the terrific beer at the neighboring/attached brewery. Their Detroit slices look amazing and will be what we try next time. The standard pepperoni slice had a tomato sauce with a nice fresh taste. Properly greasy, hot and fast. As it should be.

    Pie Trap Pizza absolutely deserves all the hype. The pizza is next-level -- perfectly crispy crust, balanced flavors, and toppings that taste fresh and intentional. You can tell they actually care about the craft. But what really sets this place apart is the owner -- seriously one of the coolest, most down-to-earth people I've met in a long time. He makes you feel like you're part of the neighborhood the second you walk in, and it's clear he's built a place that's about good vibes just as much as good pizza. Whether you're grabbing a quick slice or hanging out with friends and grabbing a brew next door, Pie Trap feels like the kind of spot you'll keep coming back to -- for the food and the experience.

    Had a friend hangout and needed a food option that could satisfy 5 people. I called in around noon to place a takeout order for two pizzas. I was advised that it would take about 30 minutes for both to be ready. However, it took another 10 minutes before it was ready. As I arrive, Pie Trap Pizza is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. There were also plenty of indoor seating and a patio outside as well. Unexpectedly there were a lot of pinball machines inside and beer on tap. Atmosphere wise, this place was already a 5/5. For the actual order, I got the Xxplosive and the Lodi Dodi. The Xxplosive came with jalapeños, but I asked them to leave on the side for folks that couldn't Handle spicy. This meant we did ate raw jalapeño. This was definitely a fan favorite. Highly recommend if you like a sweet and spicy flavor profile. For the Lodi Dodi, it was good. A few of my friends like it but not something in my flavor preference. It was definitely a more calorically dense pizza! They do accept American Express. Until next time!

    My family and I felt very underwhelmed with Pie Trap Pizza (Covina). We were recommended the Detroit Style "White Square" ($35 - 6 square slices), and it tastes like fancy cheese bread sticks. Many of these expensive slices were left half-eaten. I arrived at Pie Trap Pizza (Covina) on Friday (around 7:20PM). The location's main lobby is cramped; it fits about four customers. Pie Trap Pizza (Covina) shares dining space with a connected sports bar. It's extremely loud and cramped with sport fans and pinball enthusiasts. There's also outdoor tables but expect inconsistent cleanliness. Pie Trap Pizza (Covina) is better for to-go unless you're searching for booming, pounding, hyped energy. Staff is busy and frantic. Staff is helpful, but there's a constant nervous energy as staff rushes away from the register to prepare the next order. Pie Trap Pizza (Covina) is definitely popular. I empathize with its novelty. I was recommended the Detroit Style "White Square" ($35 - 6 square slices). It was ready in 26 minutes and 52 seconds. The "White Square" includes mozzarella, ricotta, garlic, and Romano. My family and I absolutely adored its unique & crunchy pan-seared crust; however, its fluffy body tasted dry and muted. This "White Square's" flavor resembled those rubbery cheese sticks we'd eat in a school cafeteria. As my family and I ate this, we pondered how this "White Square" would taste great with spaghetti or... pizza. Pie Trap Pizza (Covina) is unique, pricey, and somewhat small. Similar to an expensive glowing pen you'd purchase at a theme park, Pie Trap Pizza is a "fun" moment. 3.4 out of 5

    My wife and I got the New York style Pizza with pepperoni. Their pizza dough was perfect. It was cooked just right. Pepperoni was a little salty but went good with pizza dough and cheese. We also ordered the Garlic knots that were probably the best I ever had. The pizza is kinda expensive but I don't feel ripped off because it was so good. The service was good especially that it was packed with people . The brewery inside was super good too . The lighting wasn't overly to bright and not to dark although, I like a dark bar.The overall experience was awesome. The ambiance was really good. The vibe was good . And that's all I got to say about that.

In 2023, Yelp ranked this as the 13th top pizza spot in the US and Canada, which is an awesome accolade if you think about how many pizza spots are out there. Anyway, my go-to has always been the Salsiccia, which is a mushroom-and-sausage pizza. Other favorites include the Carnivora for meat eaters and the Margherita if you want something classic. The dough is soft and chewy with nicely charred blisters around the crust, the sauce they use really sings, and the ingredients (particularly the basil) are fresh and flavorful. I definitely recommend eating their pies as soon as you receive them. My wife and I don't even wait to drive back home because we know the best time to eat a piping hot pizza is right away. I look forward to trying their pesto-based pizzas, like the Regina, next time we visit!
