Jacob and Lee are fun as they run the board game league. They also have casual play night on Tuesdays where people are welcome to come and play games for free. Available games to play are downstairs. They are attached to a Mexican food restaurant so there are sometimes food smells that waft in to the game side, but it is not bad. If you come for game nights you are welcome to bring your own food as long as its not messy. I recommend you bring your own drink as there isn't fountain as part of the store. They have a pretty good selection of games.

When I was little, my brother made me watch a show called 'yugioh' with him. He got so obsessed…read morethat he started buying cards from the game and playing it with his friends. Later on, when things got hard in our family, he would always take me here to buy new yugioh cards and help me build a deck, so that he could take our minds off of everything. I will always be grateful to this shop for those wonderful moments with my brother, and even though we don't talk much anymore, I still play with the cards that he helped me get. Honestly walking in, it looked like a normal book store until she walked me to the back. Walking through the gate door is where the view changes. I was in awwww! How cool is the set up of this place. I had no clue it was a 2 leveled book store. It was neat looking at the lower level. The shelves prettily speckled with color cause of all the books. I was able to look at all the old school historical books when we were walking in and out. How neat to have so much history on your shelves! We were in a time schedule so I wasn't able to really dig into them. I have seen some pretty neat places while I'm here in SLC for a bit. I'm happy I got to add this book store to that neat list. Found a good art book. Felt like my college days. Totally beats shopping books online! The staff isn't very friendly; they are more like librarians with attitudes. But friendly staff isn't what I look for at a place like this so it's all good.
