They also serve a cold creamy dip with the chips that has a flavor profile of sour cream - mayo with sweet Italian dressing mixed in. It was an interesting change. The choriqueso was very good, but also standard. Our three-top ordered shredded beef chimichanga plate (be sure to specify 'shredded' if you don't want ground beef), a step up in quality from what you get around town. Next, shredded pork enchiladas topped with salsa verde - *chef's kiss* delish. And I went for something that I could gauge the freshness of their produce as well as a solid protein - I ordered the Cucumber Apple Salad with grilled chicken breast. The salad itself was lovely and light with freshly cut apple slices and plump dried blueberries. The disappointing factors were that the breast was very thin and therefore borderline too dry and the dressing is store-bought Newman's Own. The salad would shine with a really nice house-made vinaigrette. For afters, we shared their stuffed churros (which I don't see listed in the menu) and they were DEVINE. They may come from restaurant supply, but they were perfectly fried and would be amazing with a nice cup of Cuban coffee! (I don't know if they serve coffee but I will ask next time.)
