I don't find much of a difference between take out Chinese restaurants. Panda and Dragon Pan products seem the same. I usually order the "combination plates" the condiments are by the same supplier. Located in a convenient shopping center next to Lowe's Food, Dragon Pan is a solid take-out Chinese spot (dine-in friendly as well!). On a Saturday at lunch time, it was unexpectedly busy. I'm happy for the kind folks that own this place-- it is clear that they work super hard back there in the kitchen! Very happy to support this business. We got our orders of chicken and broccoli lunch special and roast pork stir fried noodles in maybe 10 minutes after ordering. The egg roll also came at the same time. I think both of us were surprised as how affordable this meal was! Especially when you order off the lunch specials menu. The plates were a healthy portion and the flavors were good. My nephew suggested Dragon Pan for some quick Chinese food. This is pretty much like every other Chinese takeout restaurant across the country. Area inside is small, with just a few tables. Staff was to the point, and fairly quick with bringing out our food. I ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce. It was just the right amount of thickness, not too soupy. Portion was fairly large. We're from Boston, where the Kowloon exemplifies the type of Chinese food we've come to expect when we order things like pork fried rice, egg rolls, or a pu pu platter. Never mind that I've been to China several times and know what genuine Chinese cuisine is, it's just that here in America we have a love affair with breading and deep fryers and, damn it, it's what we grew up with, so long live chicken fingers with sticky red sauce and bad fortunes jammed into stale cookies. Then, we moved to Texas, where our traditional New Year's Eve spread of everything bad for you came to a horrible, tragic end. The closest we can come to our beloved New England style Chinese was Panda Express, or maybe (gulp) PF Changs. We've undertaken what seems like three dozen attempts to find something, anything, which even approaches fried dumplings with ginger sauce, and despite Texas having arguably some of the best meat in the U.S., if not the world, do you think we could find little cubes of red-dyed pork or thin slices of teriyaki beef cooked on a wooden skewer? Noooo... So,, having exhausted our options in the DFW metroplex of 8 million people, and having been patrolling the 10 square miles around our house for the past 6 Covid-induced quasi-lockdown months, we broke our surly Texas bonds and flew to visit close friends in Myrtle Beach. First on our list of cuisine we searched for was, of course, Chinese. We figure just being on the East coast would have increased our odds of coming close to what we wanted, and with a higher ratio of Dunkin' to Starbucks, our hopes were buoyed. Yelp guided us to Dragon Pan. We suspected we were onto something when it took 15 minutes of busy signal before we finally connected with a heavy Chinese accent asking for our order. So far, so good. They had pu pu platters - oh boy, now we're onto something. Then we were told it would be an hour before we could pick up our order - and we knew we had either struck gold or iron pyrite. We'd find out in 58 minutes... The to-go bags were lined up - 40 orders, we're guessing. Yep, with this many snow birds ordering from this place, we knew we had struck gold. We got it home, and right away the wafting aroma screamed "Kowloooooon!" It didn't disappoint. If there was a 4.6/5, I'd give it. I just don't do 5 star reviews for take out. That said, it really is tasty Chinese food, in authentic New England style, right down down to the square boxes with something written in big red Chinese symbols on the side. If anyone from Dragon Pan wants to start wearing 10 gallon hats and cowboy boots while they work a wok and deep fryer, you'd be welcome with open arms. read more

We LOVE Dragon Pan! I just moved to this side of Myrtle and they were the first place we found. The food is great and service is excellent. They get really busy on the weekends so calling with plenty of notice is best. I don't mind though because being busy is a great sign that the food is good and the customers like them! Conistent quality with crab rangoon, sesame chicken and fried dumplings. I have lived here for over 2 years and those items have been solid. But, good luck getting in the parking lot here around lunch time. The plaza has many lunch choices and it turns into a demolition derby during the work week lunch rush. I find it easier to pick up after work. There is typically a 30 minute wait after ordering. However, the quality of the food is worth the wait. Best crab rangoon and potstickers I have found in Myrtle Beach. The carb rangoon is crunchy without tasting greasy. The filling is smooth and rich. The fried dumplings are outstanding. The diping sauce for the potstickers seems to have ginger and heat to it. Plenty of pork in the potstickers. Each dumpling feels full and hearty. Sesame chicken has a sweet and thick sauce. Again, a solid menu item each time I order. The chicken fried rice doesn't have any mystery vegetables in it, which my American palate appreciates. I am a lover of low mein. I do not recommend it here. I have tried the chicken and the pork loin mein but it doesn't not have much flavor. I suggest skipping it. Prices are pretty reasonable. The crab rangoon is $3.75 for 6. The fried dumplings are $5.50 for 8. I will keep coming back for my favorites. read more

The service was pretty good! But the food was absolutely horrible. The shrink tasted old and was over cooked. The chicken wasn't cleaned at all. Literally had feathers all over it! And the egg rolls were not tasty at all. The cabbage wasn't cooked and the shrimp inside was mushy. read more

Under a recommendation we tried Dragon Pan tonight. This place is legit!!! Got here at 7:30 pm, weekday evening, a steady stream of customers came in & out. We had a Pu Pu platter for two, General Tso's chicken & an order of lo mein. The Pu Pu had 2 egg rolls, 2 fried chicken wings (plain), 2 teriyaki beef and chicken on a stick, 2 BBQ spare ribs, 2 triangles of shrimp toast, 2 fried wontons and 2 fried shrimps all for $12.50!!! A bargain if you ask me. The General Tso's was great. Came with an egg roll and choice of white or fried rice w/pork. Will definitely be back. read more

Did carry- out, when I got home not only was one of the main dishes missing, but I called and was told that she probably didn't hear me but the girl had already gone for the day. At least I wasn't charged. Then as I start to unpack our order this was the condition of the shrimp toast. So they also apparently serve partially burnt food (low standards). The eggroll was also a mess and tasted like rubbery cardboard. Very disappointed because my first visit there was so great and today they were far less busy and the quality was subpar. read more

With all the Chinese places around Myrtle Beach, u had to tried this place out. Typical atmosphere like any other Chinese places. I ordered chicken with vegetables lunch special. I asked them alittle spicy and light on the sauce. Majority of Chinese places usually don't understand light on the sauce, but this place was right on. The food was delicious.
