Well I hope it's not the best Chinese restaurant in Myrtle Beach because I probably won't be back. It was mediocre food. I had the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and the hot and sour soup. I've had better. The chicken was heavily breaded. The rice was good but didn't have any egg in it. It did have small chunks of pork in it. The hot and sour soup was good but missing the long Chinese mushrooms that I love. The restaurant is very tiny inside a shopping plaza. We asked to eat there. Gave a good tip. She said she'd bring it out but forgot to mark it eat in. We had to get up and get the drinks and the food ourselves and open everything like take out. Wouldn't tip again. We were never asked how it was or even checked on. If you're looking for an actual sit down restaurant, don't go here. There were lots of people waiting on takeout while we were there, so it must be a local favorite. The price wasn't bad. $25.00 for two people. But not for me. read more

This is our 2nd time coming here and the food is fantastic! We highly recommend this place. We ordered chicken and broccoli, sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, Hunan beef, sweet and sour soup and egg rolls. The egg rolls are great with good flavor. We recommend this place for sure! read more

Went here for the 1st time on Sunday January 4th 2026 with my mom. We decided to try this Chinese place.we did order ahead of time using the phone number. We ordered Pan fried dumplings, general Taos chicken, pepper steak combo with white rice, and some kind of chicken dish. Said they were going to be ready within 35 minutes. We drove from where we live to the store. It is located in th same center as Lowes Foods. Got there within maybe 10 minutes or so and food was ready when we got there. Since it is a shopping center plenty of parking, and place was crowded too! We then paid and picked up our food. We also asked for extra sauce and wasn't charged for it. Went home afterwards where we ate our food. My mom enjoyed her chicken dish, and I enjoyed my pepper steak. My dad wasn't a fan of his general Taos chicken, said the sauce seemed a little dried out. Best Chinese food in Carolina Forest as close as you could get to New Jersey Chinese food definitely recommend them

They have delicious Chinese food of every variety. I like to take the food out because it's a small dining area. It's not a special dining area but it's good to have tables if you need them. I have been to them many times and have eaten broccoli lo mein, vegetable egg foo yong, chicken fried rice, spareribs. All delicious! It's best to order ahead and then go pick it up and eat it at your hotel, your home, your friend's house or wherever you are. They give you very generous portions. read more

First time visiting this place, Trying to find a decent Chinese restaurant in Myrtle Beach is a work in progress. We arrived later in the afternoon, past the busy lunch time. We ordered fried rice and pork Egg fo yung, but were told that they were "out of egg rolls". Never have had a Chinese place say they were out of egg rolls! There are only a few inside tables for dine-in eating which were all occupied except for one larger table that we requested to share with another patron. We waited quite a while for our food and noticed that several people who came in and ordered after us received their orders before ours. NOT SURE WHY? Our food finally arrived and wife said her fried rice was very good. Unfortunately my Egg fo yung was overcooked/burned and full of grease and probably some of the worst I have had. As we were eating we noticed that 2 of the tables that had been occupied were being used by employees. If you only have 5-6 tables for customers why would you allow employees to take up 2 of them? The poor experience with the Egg fo yung makes me question their commitment to serving a quality product. I am not sure if we will return. Dragon Pan - Mongolian Beef - Chinese Near Me - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

They win the award for the worst Chinese food we have ever had. The chow mein was brown with not a hint of a green vegetable to be had. It was swimming in a brown gravy. The orange chicken had off putting big chunks of inedible orange peel and had a very odd taste. As well, it was dry and way overcooked. Egg rolls were tasteless and the wrappers were not cooked all the way and were still doughy. Shrimp toast was way too dark and looked burnt. Egg foo yung did not have a variety of veggies amd was just okay. Sweet and sour chicken was a bit overcooked and dry, and a large order only came with maybe half a cup of sauce for a large order. This was our second time there and will be the last. It wasn't good last time but we always give two chances. read more

Just ordered and ate from Dragon Pan. Ordered the sesame chicken combo and egg drop soup. The dinner was about as bad as it can get. I don't think they used chicken in the dish. If it was chicken, I'm not sure what part. The rice was just brown rice, maybe fried. But it was literally just rice. The soup had no flavor at all. The wait time is crazy long probably due to the growing Carolina Forest neighborhoods. Do yourself a favor, drive up to China Dragon, 76th Ave. N. Quicker service and better food. Great place. Found it by accident during pandemic when you had to walk up to window to order. I was actually waiting in my car for something from place next door when I noticed lots of people picking up orders, sometimes 3-4 takeout boxes in a bag. One of our treats when we come to Myrtle Beach is to order Chinese food from the Dragon Pan. This is widely recognized as one of the best Chinese restaurants in the Grand Strand area. When we called to place our order last night, they told us it would be an hour before we could come and pick it up. Evidently, they are always that busy. We placed the order over the phone; and when we arrived an hour later, everything was ready for us. We enjoyed wonton soup, hot and sour soup, 3 spring rolls, roast pork with broccoli, sesame chicken with roast pork fried rice and an egg roll, chicken Szechuan and shrimp with mixed vegetables. All of our three entrees came with white rice. They were out of brown rice. I was delighted to see that the shrimp with mixed vegetables was steamed with no salt, sugar or corn starch added. The brown sauce was on the side. We were so hungry that we did not take time to photograph the food. It was all hot and delicious! read more

Possibly the most flavorless, bland, and disappointing Chinese food I've ever had in the country. Important to note: Take-out only When I rate eateries I generally try to evaluate it conditionally on five key points: A) Quality of food - was it flavorful or just taste like "matter"? B) Quantity of food - do the portions work for the recipe proportionally? C) Customer service - was the interaction considerate, respectful, and was I treated well? D) comparable experience - Is my experience reasonable when compared to other food categories, especially when compared to packaged, gas station type food (ie: gas station and grocery store pre-prepared sushi is still sushi but often ranks low in quality) E) Accuracy - was the order, price, and menu precise and appropriate? My ratings for this meal were: A) 1-star B) 1-star C) 2-star D) 1-star E) 1-star The top three attributes here were: 1) price was very low 2) the person who helped me was not nasty (but certainly not smiling or thankful) 3) they did not charge extra for my additional accoutrements request Finally, what do I mean by conditional? Well, every evaluation depends on a lot of variables. For example, a steak in a Texas restaurant is simply conditionally different than a steak in an Oregon restaurant and a Philly cheesesteak from Lou's in the Chester area of Philadelphia simply can't be compared to a California one. Also, during supply chain crunches, staff crunches, and pandemics, I fully expect some reasonable degree of negative impact which I do take into consideration. On to what I ordered: 1) beef fried rice 2) Kung Pao chicken 3) hot & sour soup 4) pork egg rolls 5) xtra accoutrements (hot oil, soy sauce, etc) Down and dirty top three why's for my poor rating: 1) the rice was undercooked and flavorless 2) the king pao chicken was flavorless and had zero spice 3) the order was wrong on three levels Notably, I travel for work about 25% of the time and have had my fair share of "quantity not quality" Asian food. Notably, every single one of them at least had something on the menu that was at least average quality; Dragon Pan did not. Unfortunately, I was insanely hungry and still ate about half of what I ordered out of sheer necessity to get food in my belly. I gave them two stars because the overall experience was not entirely horrible. However, just about every Chinese restaurant in tourist towns I've ever been to has a fairly diverse customer base. Therefore, a broad range of people are patrons. One peculiar thing I noticed when I was eating my meal outside at the few tables placed out in front of the establishment for those who want to eat their takeout immediately, is that every person who picked up their takeout was of one ethnicity group except me; zero diversity in their customer base. This is often a HUGE red flag for me. Considering that at least fifty people did pickup while I was eating, the odds of that happening in a tourist town are extremely low. We have been avid customers of Dragon Pan for a long time even through Covid but recently their food has been going down hill. I'm not sure if they changed owners but especially their egg rolls have changed to the point that we threw them away. They were horrible. Please bring back the old egg rolls or we will quit eating there all together. read more

Pretty good and pretty standard. I'd say "dark" sums it up, the dumplings were dark, the soup was dark, the lo mein was dark. I'd recommend a protein and veg option. The garlic chicken had good flavor, was well sauced and had a wide variety of veggies. But on the other hand the pork fried rice we ordered had a lack of veggies. The sesame chicken was on the sweeter side with well cooked broccoli. The veg lo mein was sad, it seemed to be over soy sauced, I asked for extra veg for an extra $1 so it appeared they added some broccoli. I was hoping for a bunch of and variety of veg.....no luck. The hot n sour soup was dark and not particularly hot nor sour. The spring rolls were on the bland side with the veggies that were inside but they were lite n crispy. The pork dumplings were very porky, heavy on the pork and really dark, although they didn't taste burnt. The best was the crab Rangoon. They were crispy, had a lot of filling and the filling was really flavorful. read more
