My guilty pleasure and I do usually walk out of a Chinese buffet feeling like I shouldn't have had that last plate of food. That was not the case after my visit to Dragon Palace. I spent about an hour here, slowly eating and enjoying. I didn't gorge because the steam tables were well maintained and the food coming out from the kitchen was fresh. The sushi display was excellent and I did have a bit of that, even though the rice balls were rather large compared to the fish with it. Still, overall a filling and tasty meal. The dining room could use a refresh and many of the chairs are a bit cracked. The restroom was not especially clean but clean enough. I had a good dinner. Pretty good food. Wasn't the best I've ever had but definitely wasn't the worst. House fried rice is really good. The general tsos could be spicier but that's my personal preference and doesn't indicate bad quality. Overall a great spot for something to take back home and watch a ball game with. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. Every time we go, the food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. Even when we order through DoorDash, it's a treat to have authentic Chinese food brought right to our door, with their crab rangoons being a standout favorite. We used to go to the Dragon Palace years ago before they moved across from Walmart in Forest city. The food was absolutely delicious. The buffet was small and well stocked with their specialities. Sunday was our first visit to the Dragon Palace since it upsized and moved across from Walmart in Forest City. Bigger is not better. This place has its share of people who love the place but I'm not sure what they love unless it is an all-you-can eat restaurant in general. The sesame chicken was dry and over sauced, the garlic chicken with broccoli had no taste, had no garlic and the broccoli florettes were mushy, and the stems were crunchy. The crab rangoons were decent except they were made in a hurry and the wonton was all wadded up at the top holding the cream cheese in. The former crab Rangoon was precisely made and the wonton bloomed out at the top. The egg drop soup was basically like gelatin, but of course it did thin out as it cooled, but it was nothing to brag about as well as the noodles you put in the egg drop soup. I did eat a little donut of sorts that had a little warm custard in the middle that was pretty good. The Dragon palace was outstanding in its day, but that day has come and gone. Also, we were not happy paying 18.99 poor person for food that was not even good. I've been going here ( near Walmart) for 2 1/2-3 years now. The food is very good, the staff is really nice, so are the owners. It's clean, always. Even the sushi is good! That's not easy at all at a buffet. read more

This is one of the better Chinese restaurants in the area. Because of covid they are take out only, so when we are out we don't usually eat here, my husband usually gets take out if he is out doing errands I can't wait till they open again! They do give you a lot of food for take out, if you order off the sign by door it's almost like getting the buffet. They pack the food inside the container. I wasn't feeling good all day and my husband went and picked up hot and sour soup for us for dinner. It's one of the better ones I have had. Has a lot of mushrooms and bamboo, and tofu amount other ingredients. It was super hot yet by the time he got it home! I really enjoy it from here. Always consistent. The food we have had as take out always tastes fresh. I also usually get the rangoon's from here too. They are good . My husband likes the egg foo young and normally orders it. I am a big fan of seaweed and I usually always order but with covid they haven't had it. Don't hesitate to try the food, I think it's much better now at this location since they moved. read more

Yeah, wasn't much of a fan. I appreciate that's they got the order out fast. I ordered the crab rations, they were some of the best I've had in the area, however they were sitting in grease in the container. The coconut shrimp is not the coconut shrimp you think it is. It was served in this soup coconut sauce and it made the shrimp taste kinda slimy. The general tso chicken is not like any general Taos I e I've before and that wasn't really in a good way. The chicken was dry and over cooked, the sauce had a few pieces of pineapple and green peppers. Wouldn't recommend those two entrees. The rice was done well. read more
