The sushi is prepared in the back, in an open sushi style traditional display, but no seating right there. The restaurant is clean, moderately bright, and the tables can be arranged for parties of 8, we were four. I did think the tables were a little too close together. During our meal, an adjacent four top was seated and while they were not disturbing us, the tiny waitress was bumping into me as she took their order or delivered food, enough so that I had to be aware of it so as to not accidentally wave an arm and knock a drink or plate from her hand. Our service was attentive. Pricing is reasonable for food, but I did think $14 for an 8 ounce hot sake was steep. I tried the Larb Gai level 6 and the presentation and arrangement of the dish made it easy to eat as lettuce wraps with crisp iceberg and the fresh flavors. It was well balanced and the right heat but slightly dry. A side container of a couple of additional tablespoons of the Thai dressing would be a good idea. My Tom Yum Soup entree size was ample enough for leftovers. It is very flavorful but on the sweet side comparatively to many other TY soups I've had. My protein choice was chicken and heat level 6 of 10. It seemed that everyone's dishes were slightly hotter than expected, even our friends who regularly order the same dishes felt that way. My 6 was more like an 8 and I'm a hot head eater. This often happens as variance in pepper heat in stir fry or in chef to chef variance in spice profile. I would suggest order lower and adjust up to your taste. We arrived early, 5:15 and left 7:15 and were not rushed. The restaurant was moderately busy as it was a Friday. I'm told reservations are recommended. 3 stars means "A-OK" and that is where this landed. No disappointments and also no stand out experiences, but we would dine here again.

They were there for a couple of years and finally went out of business. Most people in the area think it is the same people, but it is not. I ate there when it was named HOUSE OF ASIAN. I quit after 3 times. When I seen it was named China & Hibachi I went in and gave it a try FLAWLESS!!!!!!!! I use to work in a Chinese restaurant, and the people taught me exactly how to make Chinese. How did they know how to make it? They were from CHINA, Duh. What I really like about the new restaurant is they pile it on. "Sometimes I can't eat it all. And since the previous owners ruined the location, I often see couples in it. It is clean and quaint. A very nice place for romantic moments. Things are slowly picking up, I do see a lot of people going through the Drive Thru. There you will have to wait a long time to get served as they cook it only after you order. The ONLY thing I dont like about it is if you get soft drinks. They don't have fountain beverages, only bottles, and you pay for each one, and no free refills. But the dinner makes up for it. Plus they have a complete list of Japanese dishes as well. I believe in giving restaurants a second chance but this time was the last straw. I ordered Orange Chicken and fried rice. First, the fried rice was absolutely tasteless, no flavor at all. Then I looked at the chicken - the Orange sauce was so overcooked it was almost black. I tried a bite anyway, and almsot gagged. The sauce and the chicken both had the consistency of lumpy jelly. I gave it to my dog because I was already home and it would have cost me more than the meal was worth to drive back. My advice is stay away from this place, the quality has really gone downhill and I will NOT be going back again.

We were welcomed with a hand-written dry erase board outside of the entrance promoting "SPecails" and should have turned around then. We were seated at the bar and eventually greeted by a bartender, who was able to get me a drink, on my 3rd order (telling us that the manager had quit, the pear martini was no longer on the menu due to cost and that they didn't have the Edmunds Oast, Bound by Time beer that was on the menu (actually spelled on menu as "Bond")). My Wife ordered her usual, Cosmo, and said it was the worst she'd ever had. We ordered the Mediterranean plate and Brussels. They were both fine but we weren't checked on a single time after they were delivered. Our water glasses were empty well before we finished, and never refilled. When I asked for the check and gave the bartender a $100 bill, she gave me change from her pocket, which was to the restaurant's favor by a few cents! What in the world?!? Again, we have been fans of Stone Soup for years but we won't return given this disappointing (truly) experience.
