We have been ordering from Big Wall for several years. With their constant turnover of cooks you never know what you are going to get. Sometimes good sometimes bad. Tonight we ordered 2 combination platters. Pork was cut thick and chewy and had a funky taste.. Egg rolls were so over fried we couldn't eat them. Needless to say both of our meals went into the garbage after a couple of bites. Will not order again from them. I believe their prices have increased from their menu. I was charged $20.00 for 2 combination meals that list for $7.50 each on their take out menu. Terrible! read more

Being new to the area, I was looking for a decent Chinese takeout restaurant. Great Wall serves food that is hot and fresh. The general's chicken is pretty good. The hot and sour soup was delicious. The crab ragoons are tasty. The fired rice is a little flat and not a lot of taste. However, adding a dab of soy sauce and duck sauce hits the spot. read more

Our "Go To" Chinese spot in Rutherford County. Consistently the best Chinese restaurant in the county, that we have found. They are open back up for limited dine- in, but we always get our meals to go. I usually get the Chicken Chow Mein Fun with Sweet & Sour Chicken, but substitute their peanut sauce for the sweet & sour sauce. Everything that we have tried has been good. read more

This place has new ownership in the past year and I have seen the quality speed and friendliness of the staff increase. Traditionally spicy dishes actually are. They are consistent, I usually get take out here once a month. I recommend you call ahead, their estimates on the time it will be ready is accurate to within 5 mins of every time I call in an order. read more

In town visiting family and we decided to eat here this afternoon. A few hours after eating there, the rumblings in my stomach were telling me it was a bad choice:( I feel like this place reuses the food from previous nights and just keeps it warm on the tables, probably a way for the cheap owner to save a penny. We should have left after the first 2 plates we picked up had dried food on them and then the first bite into my chicken was like chewing on hard gum. Best General Tso's I've ever found. The crab rangoon is also very tasty, if very bad for me :) No, it's not "real Chinese." But it's super-delicious Americanized Chinese. Skip the buffets, and get a huge,fresh-cooked portion for a reasonable price. read more

This place has great food, prices are on par. Definitely the best Chinese food in the county, and they overstuff every morsel of whatever you order into whatever size container you get. my only Szechuan Beef with this place is that they've recently allowed their ~10 year old daughter take orders and answer the phone which leads to not only confusion, but inadvertent price gouging and, by most peoples standards borderline rudeness... so if your instincts are telling you that a small child is taking your order, do your own price math and don't leave it up to her. As far as I know, this kid isn't cooking any of the food, thankfully. In Dim Sum-mary, definitely eat here... just ask for the manager when your placing an order. read more

Eat in food was very good but beware: Great Wall does not really provide eat-in service unless you don't want Chinese tea, standard noodles cost extra, water is extra and entrees which are shown on their marquee are just not available. Also, if you order S16 be advised this is fried and not sautéed. All components (white rice, sweet/sour sauce and fried not sautéed chicken and shrimp) are delivered for you to mix. This is a family business so you get what you get. Stick with take out only!! read more
