Luckily when we arrived, there was no one in the restaurant at the time and we were able to choose where to sit and the server immediately took our order. She was very pleasant and efficient. We ordered her food and it came out rather quickly and everything looked fresh and was present presented well. The food tasted well as well as the portions were a good size for the price. The restaurant has plenty of seating. It was clean and everything was well presented. We visited Sakura Bistro on a weekday during spring break and had a great experience. I ordered the pho--it was absolutely delicious. My kids had sushi, and it was fresh and just as tasty. First time to be thrown out of a restaurant. We were sitting and talking after eating dinner. Lady was rude the entire time! She came over and told us they needed the table, there were 15 tables empty. We were not loud, rude or requesting anything, just talking. It was about 2 hours before they closed. This was one of our to go places for take out when we were trying to get things situated After we moved. Then the Covid hit it was completely take out and no inside eating. I am so glad they are finally back open we finally had a chance to go in and sit down for dinner I started out with a Sushi Roll, I took a photo and it got deleted :( I always get Chicken Curry to go, so it was nice to stay here and eat. My husband likes the pineapple Curry with chicken. I really like that they will make it the way you like it. On the menu it tells you what they add when making it. Here they make it a bit different than what I've had before never had potatoes in it l, not a fan so I take them out. I really enjoyed eating inside the restaurant and not take out. While we were there It was not too busy with people inside yet. The place was nice inside, clean. The waitress was friendly. One of my favorite local places. Wow! Finally tried this place after living out here for 2 years and what a great find! Food is fresh and plenty of veg and meat- whatever you want. Pho, curry, pad thai, sushi rolls... an extensive menu. High quality restaurant options are limited in this area, so this is a new fave. Ok! It's been a few weeks. Service much much better, for appetizers we ordered the volcano shrimp, a Rock n Roll Sushi and crab ragoons. They all came out one at a time but came out at correct temps and all were very tasty! Some would say just a right amount of spice, I say a bit more would be nice. Next time I'll try The Thai Curry. We waited to order entrees until we received our appetizers so it wasn't all served at once. Only thing is they want to give the specialty cooks off 1 day a week so no Pho, Sakura specials or Thai Curry on Mondays and no sushi on Sundays. But a vast improvement to service and quality of food from the first time. Btw, we ordered an order of teriyaki chicken, teriyaki steak and an order of hibachi steak. Ive been here multiple times, everytime I leave I am certain Ill never return. Food is great but service always sucks! We even had new waitresses today, I only ordered a house salad and fresh spring rolls, my husband ordered steak sakad and sushi. The waitress never returned after ordering to our table. Other workers brought out my husband's food and my spring rolls. as the original waitress was walking away from another table, I called out ma'am, twice and finally she came back and asked about the easiest thing on our order, my house salad, she said okay, I'll check, she didnt even return, someone else brought the house salad a few mins later. The initial seating was not to our liking, and were flat denied another table (there was ONE person aside from us in the place) We place our orders, and one appetizer was brought out, but not the second. After waiting 30 minutes for a call in order and watching 6-8 people get their food, I got all the way home to discover my order was totally wrong. The food is GREAT! My wife and I started with the appetizer crab rangoons that comes with 8 to a plate. We may or may not have fought over who was going to have the last one. We ordered another plate to settle the tension at the table. Probably the best rangoons I've ever eaten. We both had the steak and jumbo shrimp combination plate, both were served hot and everything was fresh. No complaints here. Nice, clean place. Just ordered the Pad Thai and was not impressed, I believe that there was way to much tamarind in the sauce and made it inedible. The waitress asked how was everything but wasn't really concerned when we told her that the Pad Thai wasn't very good. This only reason this is one star is because it couldn't be zero. The service and the sweet tea were the only good things about this place. The steak tasted like it had been out for weeks. The rice didn't have any flavor nor was cooked correctly. The noodles looked like microwave ramen and tasted like they were covered in dish soap. I've eaten here quite a bit because it's very close to home. The food is hit or miss. Especially the sushi. It's usually sloppy or doesn't taste fresh. The curry is usually decent. The atmosphere seems to be a lot of negative energy amongst staff. I swear I think one time I went the sushi lady made my sushi awful on purpose as punishment because my waitress simply politely asked her for the status on my sashimi and simple roll that I'd been waiting on forever. Anyway, what's lead me to finally leave my 2 cents and make review is I called to order take out. It was about 15 minutes to closing which is why I chose not to dine in. I would understand if they'd closed the kitchen down already since it was close to closing but in a Friday evening i figured it'd be ok. Anyway I called and asked if I can place an order for take out and the girl who answered the phone replied "no". I said mmmkkk why not? She said "sorry just can't". Anyway, a response like "I'm sorry for the inconvenience but we've closed down the kitchen early this evening." Would've been a decent response instead of a passive aggressive rude "no". Anyway, I've tried supporting the local business and always tip very generously, even for takeout and especially when it's late. Last time I tipped $14 for my $26 takeout order. I do not recommend this place it has went down hill tremendously in the past year. We went tonight my 12 year old ordered a shrimp plate. They brought out a shrimp and chicken plate and asked if it was okay because they gave her shrimp to a different table and then got mad when we said she wanted just the shrimp cause it comes with more. I ordered the steak and chicken plate that comes with broccoli and I ended up with broccoli and mushrooms I changed out the carrot for more broccoli and I got maybe 5 pieces of broccoli so when it was brought to their attention they brought me more broccoli but charged me $3 for a side of broccoli. When I asked why I was being charged for a side she looked at me like I was stupid and then stared at me like I was in the wrong when I asked why then finally offered to take it off. The service was extremely slow and there was maybe 3 tables. Usually when we go and order sushi and a plate the sushi always comes out first this time they brought out the food and then a while later the sushi. The sushi was supposed to be battered and fried but there wasn't any breading on it besides the very end pieces. The waitresses could care less about their tables and barely checked on us. We've eaten here several time & the food and service have been consistently great! Pho & curries are our usual "go-to's" and they don't disappoint. The atmosphere is relaxed & pleasant, clean, no smoking, and great for both a date or with kiddos, with indoor and outdoor seating! This is a really nice place to relax and get some good sushi. The atmosphere is nice and the place has some cool decorations. (I could look at the colored water decor for hours) But after my visit last night I will not be ordering the hibachi steak again. My steak was honestly horrible-- it was fatty and had a weird grainy texture. However, my broccoli and soba noodles were good, as well as my California roll. I was disappointed in my steak though, and I expected better from this place, because it's usually very good! I will be returning, but not for the steak. We waiting 30 minutes for our bill and when we got it it wasn't right. And we asked for a discount because of the bad food and terrible service and they said they would give us 20% but they only took 4 cents off of our bill.
