Crab Rangoons

Everyone is always asking what is a good Asian spot in Asheville, specifically the Arden/SAvl area. Chen Garden is awesome. Delicious, fresh, flavorful food. I have enjoyed the General Tsos chicken & the steak hibachi. Quick service & good portions.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. The place is always clean and the staff super friendly. They have a bunch of regulars at the tables near us. We got the SPECIALS- RIBS & CHICKEN WINGS- the ribs fell off the bones. Full of meat and great season and flavor will definitely get them again. The chicken wings were super crispy and meaty! The spice in the sauce was awesome. They were juicy not dry. Will get these again as well. Chicken Pad Thai cooked perfectly and a huge portion. The other special was the Seafood Crispy Noodle. It has shrimp, calamari, scallops and vegetables. We asked for no bell pepper and she added mushrooms and broccoli instead. Very accommodating. The dish was great. Crispy noodles were different as I am accustomed to rice but still very well worth it. Will be back soon!!!! Hidden gems for sure

Hibachi steak and scallops with fried rice and salad.

Delicious love the food here. Can't wait to try some of the other dishes. Got it to take out and it was outstanding.

A new Asian restaurant has soft opened on Long Shoals with a grand opening scheduled for May 2nd. My partner and I were fortunate to stop in on Sunday to grab a couple of menus. The interior was so inviting we decided to stay for a meal. Miles Chen came to our table to introduce himself. We started with a bowl of freshly steamed edamame that were lightly sauteed and lightly salted. Followed by 6 Crab Rangoon with sweet chilu sauce. Entrees included chicken Lo Mein and beef Pad See Yu. Both noodles were cooked perfectly and the meat was nicely seasoned and tender. The chicken melted in one's mouth. Full service including beer and wine is expected to be available for the grand opening. The interior and menu items gave me a warm comfortable feeling which is a plus.

New Asian restaurant in Arden, NC. I happened to be out enjoying the weather and noticed a new Asian restaurant nestled in the back of a strip mall. This location is not the best. So, I quickly came to Yelp to share my experience. Upon entering, it has a calm vibe. It is somewhat small. Seating approx 40 max.. I was quickly greeted and seated. I learned they just opened (still in the soft opening phase). So, I prepared myself for some of the things that come with new openings. I am happy to say there were none. Their liquor license is not in yet. But, the menu shows what is coming. I decided to try a few things and plan for leftovers. So, I started with the Shrimp Gyoza. Ot was VERY good. I could clearly taste the shrimp and quite fresh. I then ordered the Ginger Pepper Steak and Shrimp Fried Rice and a side of Chili Oil. Everything was delicious, and I can't wait to come back and try the Curry and Pho.

Singapore noodles

I stopped in for lunch today and had the Singapore noodles. Very good service... Very good food... will definitely be back!

First visit this afternoon and we could not have been more pleased! Restaurant has very nice vibe with attractive decor. Service was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the Spring Rolls and Shrimp Shumai for starters. Dug in before I could take a photo but both were delicious. For an entree I ordered the Seafood Casserole which was served in a sizzling bowl. It was loaded with shrimp, calamari, mussels and scallops along with red and green peppers, onion and clear noodles. It was absolutely delicious!!! My husband had the Mongolian Beef which was also delicious. The beef was tender and very flavorful. We look forward to visiting again soon!!!

Noodles were outstanding.

P.F. Chang's - Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts

It appeared when they wiped the table that they just wiped around the center. There was thick dust on the ledge around the booths. The bartender was our waiter. He took our drinks order, and we also ordered egg rolls as an app. I got hot tea, and my husband ordered a coke. The server/bartender brought my tea, no sweetener, nor asked if I needed any. He brought a sake cup for my tea to drink out of. I've order ginger peach tea dozens of times from Chang's, the sake cup was a first. Egg rolls were very over-fried and hard on the ends. I ordered Chang's chicken with extra sauce, not only did I not get extra sauce, I didn't get any sauce. The chicken was cold and appeared to have been setting for quite a while. My husband got Mongolian beef. It appeared just cooked the beef and added the onions as an afterthought., as they were completely raw. The server never bothered to remove any dirty dishes, or come to see if we needed refills on our drinks, or even ask how our meal was. This meal was a complete disappointment, and honestly not up to standards of what we normally get at other locations. I think this is clearly a management issue that needs to be addressed.

Thai Chili Asian Bistro - Ginger Chicken so good!

Thai Chili Asian Bistro

This is a true hidden gem in Asheville! This restaurant changed hands about a year ago now, and…read morethough I had not tried it prior to the new owners, I can't imagine it getting any better! I love Thai food, and will honestly take any chance I can to have some, but this place is something special! The restaurant is pretty simple, it is in the corner slot on a strip mall, but the inside is very clean and peaceful, it also has an outdoor covered patio that overlooks a beautiful pond which makes for a wonderfully relaxing environment for a quiet meal. Thai chili is a small family owned restaurant, like all the best spots are, the servers are some of the nicest people I've met in a long time, and the quality of the food is unmatched in Asheville! The red curry has a wonderful thick sauce and perfect flavor, ingredients are always fresh, and I highly recommend the spring rolls, ginger stir-fry, and the pad-kee-mao. If you like spicy food, make sure to ask for the fried chili oil, they make it fresh in house and it is far better than I have had anywhere else. They also have fresh Thai birds-eye chilis which make for a wonderful side or topping to any meal. All in all, if you're in the area, make a stop here. It is well worth going a bit out of the way if you're in the mood for Thai food. The prices are good, the people and atmosphere are wonderful, and the food can't be matched! I can't say enough good things about this place!

Ordered the miso soup, which was a nice size portion. There was plenty of tofu, and greens in the soup. There was a nice size portion, the taste was delightful. The rice was cooked to perfection. 7 put of 10 Restaurant is very clean. Staff is friendly. 8 out of 10 I personally feel the best time to come into the restaurant is between three and five. It's not as busy. The food is still fresh and delicious. I rate the atmosphere 7. out of 10. The restaurant is right next to the gas station. Don't let that fool you this is a great little hole in the wall to visit, talk with the staff. Yes, there is a language barrier to a degree but they're so friendly and nice to take a minute how are you doing? I took the time to talk with the owner of the restaurant, I personally feel getting to know your local restaurant owners and staff is a good thing. It'll make your dining experience better. Zew, started creating sushi and cooking Japanese food back in 2001, Mr. Sushi opened in 2017, there was not very many sushi restaurants in the Asheville then. There's been many sushi restaurants come and go since then. There are Sushi/ Japanese/Hibachi restaurants in the area, however this one is truly a wonderful restaurant to visit it's quaint and down to earth-place, this is why I highly recommend this restaurant this is restaurant. with great personality. Zew is. Owners he is a delight to talk with, you see the passion in his face when he's talking about his food that he's created the original rolls that he makes. I recommend trying the Rangoon roll. There's no fish in it. It's there's imitation crab. It's a wonderful thing that he is doing here and he has truly traditional Japanese fried noodles. Which is very much a difference between the Chinese way of cooking the noodles. As much as I'd like to give five stars I cannot because I rarely give five stars. I love this place. I would return to this place and I hope that you will come to this place too and enjoy wonderful sushi and a little a hole in the wall from somebody that has compassion for the food he creates.
