Love this family friendly local restaurant (Scotts's on Broadway)! My favorite is their Fried chicken special on Tuesdays - in my opinion it is better than KFC. The special comes with 2 pieces of boneless fried chicken breasts, 2 sides, and your choice of a roll or cornbread. However, if that is too much food and you don't want leftovers, you can ask for a 1 piece special as well, like I did tonight. I paired it with fried squash (with ranch), broccoli casserole, and a roll. The service is always great. They check on you and keep your beverage filled (for me that is a Jumbo unsweet tea). Sadly they are only open weekdays. But go check them out, they have different daily specials each day of the week. read more

It's been years since we've been here. We decided to give it a chance again One good thing is you can sit down and order again. The menu reflects the extra charges for dressing or sauces if you want it. The inside is the same as it was, nothing fancy inside. The waitresses all seemed helpful. We tried the chicken wings they were good. The baked spaghetti is almost $10 and you get a small plate and piece of garlic bread and a salad. I tried the ham & cheese sandwich. It was ok, .over all the food was better than we remembered from the last time we went. Ice tea was $3.00 a cup and they serve it in a Styrofoam cup. Well I did it...I gave Scott's another try...even though the first time was disappointing. This time I stopped for lunch and being a burger fan that's what I ordered...even though the parking lot was empty and there was another couple sitting at another table...I just thought to myself this place used to be so busy and now it's not. Well out comes my burger that I ordered medium rare...took one bite...well and I mean well done...so I took back to the counter and said this is done well...I asked for medium rare...well here comes the attitude...deep breath's and she says to me that's the only way we serve them...then I said then why did you ask me how I wanted it cooked when I ordered it. So she takes it back to the kitchen and orders another burger...SON OF A BITCH...it comes out WELL AGAIN... went back to the counter and asked if she would eat this dried up piece of wood...asked if I could just get my money back...so I guess this will be my last time going there...it's a shame...it used to be really...really good. I don't see how it could go down so rapidly...maybe someone is burnt out...I don't have a clue. Few more places in town to eat that are good. read more

Best beef stew plate ever, salads are always fresh and a must grab. Chicken fingers are pretty good too

Scott's serves a lot of old-fashioned favorites. The beef dog in particular is excellent and more like the classic Windy Powell treat than other local restaurants' versions. The baked spaghetti plate with a generous salad and buttered toast is very tasty and fulfilling, Portions are solid. Prices are good. You can dine in or order takeout. The menu is extensive. I'd highly recommend you check out Scott's if you're looking for a good local meal. read more

This was recommended by friends. They said hamburgers and onion rings were great. We tried both and were disappointed. Two sizes of hamburgers. The large are huge on an extra large roll, but size doesn't always matter if the end result is not good. Burgers were dry. Onion rings were just average to below average. Used to be good. The parking is awful. The food seemed over priced to not be very good at all. I will pass from eating here again. The vegetables tasted out of a can at the store. The club sandwich was way to greasy and they add weird things to their food. The salad wasn't even good. I was disappointed. It definitely isn't home country cooking anymore. read more

I'm not normally very picky when it comes to burger and fries since they are pretty hard to screw up but this place... The burgers were okay and that is the only reason it got two stars instead of one. The chili cheese fries are crinkle cut, frozen fries with stone cold orange cheese and hamburger on top, the cheese fries were the same without the hamburger. There wasn't an option on the website at what temperature to order the burgers and they all came as very over cooked patties. It tastes more like meatloaf than a burger. The pickles on the burgers were very vinegary and soggy so that was not very appealing to us. My "fresh cut fries" were like limp noodles. The prices on the website are not correct either. I was quoted about $47 on the website and upon getting there was informed that my total was $44 dollars even though they didn't have the supposedly $6 mozzarella sticks. Not thinking anything of it I just paid for the food and left but when I looked at the receipt I realized that the fries had been two and a half time the pice they should have been. I am unsure whether this is a technical issue on the website or computer or just a mistake on the waitresses part but it is still an inconvenience. There is nowhere on the site that tells you how long it will take for your food to get done but upon getting there, I was first told that it wasn't done, then told it was done and questioned in a confused manner about wether I would like it brought out or not... After informing them I was there for a curbside pickup... Anyway, not going to eat here again but good luck to you if you do. My mom is just glad she didn't order the flounder like she had planned. read more

I work in the area, and my partner told me about this place. We stopped by, the parking sucks around lunch time, I had a chicken salad it was good and plenty of food. They definitely give you plenty of food, my partner had a large hamburger he could not even eat the hole thing, it looked very greasy to me but he liked it. The only bad thing I can say is that they charge extra for using your debt card! I refuse to return to places that do this kind of thing, it's sad for me because the food was good. I just disapprove of places that charge extra to make it easy for a customer to pay. read more

This place is always busy and for good reason. The food is tasty and there is great variety on the menu. The kitchen is fast and the staff is friendly and will bring your food out. No waiter but there are real plates and silverware. Ham is too salty for my taste. Tea and soft drinks available. Good place to grab a quick lunch. read more

This place deserves no stars!!! But unfortunately I had to click on one of them. Parking is terrible, wait staff was rude and seemed to be on drugs or something cause she really "wasn't there" The food was below disgusting!! Greasy nasty mess!!! The atmosphere was cramped and run down! Chairs falling apart, carpet was old and nasty and they use duck tape to hold it down!!! Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. When I asked to speak to the manager about our experience she ended up leaving the table with attitude and did absolutely nothing to try and make up for this horrible experience! read more
