Negligent and cheap staff. They don't care about or watch your dog. Go to Wasatch Canine Camp. I regularly travel and leave my dog at kennels. Never once has she come back with an injury and the kennels (including On the Spot) have always commented that she behaved wonderfully. However, this summer I picked up my dog on a Monday morning after a weekend trip and she was given back to me with the 8-stitches-wound that I've included. I noticed the wound within 20 seconds of leaving the building with my dog and immediately went back in for answers. The manager onsite said there was a scuffle that my dog started and that another dog had done it-- this under their "supervision" and after they handed me a report declaring with their signatures that my dog had behaved perfectly during her stay. I took my dog to the vet and had the wound taken care of by professionals. That was ~$800. On the Spot did not care to chip in for the medical expenses and coldly pointed to their liabilities waivers that covered them. Accidents happen, but this is poor business management and shows a disturbing lack of accountability. Know that for the price of a cheap kennel stay, you are risking your pet's safety under negligent staff and they won't give a damn to make things right after the fact.

I let myself get talked into a Mastiff/Bloodhound cross and found myself in a mess. I have 165 lbs of stubborn, willful, disobedient but very, cuddly loving dog. At 120 lbs I cóuldn't take him for walks any more. It was a strange experience... 5 Mastiffs and none of them used their weight or strength to push me around. But this dog dragged me anywhere he wanted to go. Someone told me about Jan and Live Oak and I thought I'd at least try. I walked into her facility for our first class and I walked out with another dog... and I don't mean I traded! Jan is a PRO. No gimmicks just calm, clear instruction for you as well as your dog. She'd make a wonderful therapist. She'll meet with you and your dog first to see if you, your dog, and she are a good fit. Then she'll make a plan and you're ready. I don't know how she does what she does that enables you to translate it to your dog. We were in a large class and everyone was getting it. She watches everything to help you and to prevent negative interactions between dogs. I promise we're not related, I'm just so grateful because she saved my relationship with my dog...who is now incredible!!

When we picked our dog up from daycare today the staff at Bandit's had a sweet bouquet with a note attached. I was so touched. I have never experienced this level of customer service or sympathy from another facility. They know my dog by name when I walk in to drop my dog off; the level of personal care that they offer is unparalleled. We've had a great experience and seen major changes in the behavior of both our dogs. We highly recommend Dog Training Elite. They were always on time, professional, and eager to answer any questions! We work at least 15 minutes a day with our dogs on their training. Some weeks are better than others, but it's surprising how fast they picked everything up! The only issue that we've run into is that the dog collars are very inconsistent when it comes to having a thick coat like our malamutes have. We switched to longer prongs and have ordered some winged tipped prongs to see if it can make better contact with their skin. A lot of the frustration we had with our dogs behavior has completely disappeared. We can't wait to continue working with them at group classes.

He is no longer aggressive when another dog walks by, and taking him for a walk is actually fun -- no more pulling. Recommendations for Dave with Innovative K9 as a trainer kept coming across our search and we decided to invest in the Puppy to Adult Dream Dog Course. To this day, the money spent was absolutely worth it. We learned how to continue training at home, and have always received support with any questions or concerns. We are so happy with the results, we drive an hour each way to board our dog with Innovative K9 when we have trips out of town. Now they offer pick up and drop off which makes it even more convenient! We unfortunately haven't had an opportunity to participate in the group lessons on Saturdays at the park. Adopt or rescue a dog and invest in Innovative K9's board and train program- you will learn modern behavioral training and have a dog that makes you proud. We cannot recommend Innovative K9 enough!
