I started noticing he would growl when I touched him, which was very out of character. At first, I didn't think much of it, but as it worsened, I examined him more closely and was shocked to discover scabbed areas under both of his front legs, resembling severe rugburn. After another hike, I checked him immediately upon return and found his front legs raw and bleeding in multiple spots, with his fur matted in tight knots. I took him to urgent care, and the veterinarian confirmed the wounds were fresh trauma. My dog is 8 years old and very active, but because he's never been off leash before, I had specifically requested that he be kept leashed on hikes. The other dogs were off-leash, and I worry that while trying to keep up with the group, the handler, Caitlin, may have dragged him when he couldn't keep pace. I reached out to Mary for an explanation but received no clear response or indication of concern for my dog's condition. I asked Mary if she would cover the vet bill. Instead, she said she wanted to speak directly with my vet. When I brought that request to my vet, they informed me that she did not have a right to access my pet's medical information due to HIPAA laws. Despite everything, I was kind enough to let the situation go--but I refused to pay the bill for the hike where my dog was injured. Now Mary is charging my account anyway. A good business owner would have shown concern and at the very least offered an apology. Instead, she has shown no empathy and no accountability. This experience was incredibly distressing. I cannot recommend Merrypets based on what happened and how poorly it was handled. My dog has had no more injuries since he stopped going out with Merry Pets. He's happy again and no longer growls at me.

I was so grateful they were available so I could have peace of mind leaving them. When we dropped them off we were given a tour and everything was explained to us how they'd be handled while we were away! Each day I texted for info or a photo of them and they were always quick to reply and very helpful! This really gave me a lot of confidence they were safe and enjoying their space! The facility is clean and well organized! I appreciate that the dogs are separated by size. Neither Roxy or Jake seemed stressed or bug eyed exhausted when I came to pick them up! They were mellow and were clean and their things were gathered for us to head home from the airport! When I've picked them up from some other places, my Roxy would seem disoriented and overwhelmed! So I was beyond grateful she appeared relaxed! We will be sure to use this location for all boarding needs in the future. Even though it's far from us, it was nice to be able to trust our babies were well taken care of!

Until I found them I was seriously stressed out about what to do for daycare for my puppy. I spoke to Brandon on the phone and he instantly put me at ease. I took my puppy in to check things out and ended up leaving him there to play for a few hours. I love that they have an actual outside area for the dogs to go out and play in. And most of all - my puppy comes home exhausted after playing with his friends all day! Thank you Backyard Dog Care for always taking great care of my puppy.

Dear Pet Parents, I have known Leslie the owner of Old Farm…read morePet Resort for many years, if you need day care for a day or several days I recommend Leslie, she loves every dog as if they were her very own. My little Jack Russell would try to jump out of my hands when I would go through her door and the dog saw her. I had a situation were my husband passed away, I moved to Seattle to be closer to my kids and had someone I thought would take good care of her. Their situation wouldn't allow them to keep the dog so I thought of Leslie, I told her about my situation and how sad I was so I flew back to Salt Lake and Leslie met me at the airport. My dog remembered Leslie and her anxiety totally was goon. She keep my posted on what was going and let me know that my little dog was with a new family that love her so much and my little dog has new friends that (yellow labs) love to play and are having such a good time. Leslie is by far the very best she truly love all dogs. Susan H

This 3rd time she had cuts on her rear paws and they would've become infected if she stayed any longer. Staff ignored my request to put her cone on over night to prevent paw licking. They do not follow your feeding instructions. They couldn't give me a confident answer if she had eaten or not when I picked her up and they told me she ran out of food which surprised me as I always pack more food than what's needed for the stay. I question if the animals are ignored by staff too, the dogs outside are free roaming and I've never seen a staff member out there. All these issues under "New Management". I unexpectedly was offered my dream job in a small city about 45 minutes away from my apartment,…read morebut I had to start immediately. I frantically turned to the internet in hopes of finding a good dog-walking service, and I hit the jackpot on my first try. I had never had a dog walker before, so I didn't know what exactly to expect, but I can safely say that whatever expectations I did have were blown out of the water by Ryan and the TWP team. I currently use the 30-minute walk, 5 times a week, option. A QR code magnet on my refrigerator allows the dog walkers to "check in" when they get to my apartment; they then walk my dog, Georgia, if she's up for it - she hates the heat, so if she doesn't feel like going out, the dog walker accommodates her and still spends 30 minutes at my apartment whether sitting with her, scratching her, playing with her toys, etc. Using the same QR magnet, the dog walker "checks out" after 30 minutes are up. While at work, I get an email every day during the "walk window" I specified during sign up, and I know the appointment has started. After half an hour, I get a second email to let me know the appointment is over along with a short message about where they went, what my dog did, and how she seemed that day. I love that I get these updates, because I initially had some guilt over taking this job, but I now feel completely at ease knowing that my dog is having fun while I'm at work. I've met two of the local walkers who take care of my dog, and both were extremely professional and courteous. It was immediately obvious that each of them love dogs, so it's no wonder that my dog is so excited to see them every day. I'm single, I don't have roommates, and outside of my career, Georgia is the most important thing to me. If I hadn't felt completely and totally at ease with a dog walker during the first day or week that I used their services, I would cancel immediately and find another service. Luckily, TWP is exactly what I was looking for - and more. I have recommended TWP to friends and coworkers, and I could not recommend their services more highly.

Max is the laziest, sweetest, and cuddliest dog I have ever had. He's also my first herding dog…read more Boy, these dogs are so intelligent that it blows my mind! Before Alex, my partner and I were at a loss as to what to do about Max. He was getting worse and worse with his (leash) reactivity. In the home, he would just laze about and bring toys to us to play with him or would just play by himself. But we dreaded taking him outside on the leash because any dog we would see would turn him into a rabid zombie. There were a lot of breakdowns on my part and feeling like a terrible dog mom so we finally bit the bullet and chose the two week board and train with Alex. Getting into contact was smooth and easy and we chose a drop off and pick up time. Alex sent a picture or video every day and also answered any questions we had along the way if we had any questions about why he did a training a certain way in a video. I am blown away by not only how knowledgeable Alex is when it comes to understanding dogs individually (Max's terrible reactivity got worse and worse because he had been going to daycare two times a week for ten months and had been getting bullied so now he gets into fearful attack mode - Alex's astute observation) but also understand me and my partner and correcting us on our behavior. He figured it out right away at our first pick up lesson after the training and my partner told him "heel" and Max looked at him and then "heeled" next to me (yes, Max is a total mama's boy). It's been a little over a month since Max has come home to us from his board and training. Is he a perfectly trained dog now? Not at all! Does he have a solid foundation that Alex trained him with and now my partner and I just have to train ourselves to communicate better with Max so we are all on the same page? Absolutely! Sending your dog to Alex (or any trainer) is not going to be a magical fix. Your relationship with your dog is just that--a relationship. Both parties need to keep working together until you're on the same page. I have texted Alex my questions (and, sometimes, my breakdowns of how terrible I must be at this) and he has always been willing to meet and do a training session and help us out. I have never felt blown off or ignored by Alex. His constructive and kind criticism has always been incredibly helpful and you can tell that he cares a lot about the dogs and want the dogs to be happy with their families. Max isn't perfect and he's still a 2-year-old angsty teenager. But he's trying his best to do what we want him to do and we are trying our best to tell him what we need from him. Alex has been amazing in helping us connect the two concepts. Our walks are smoother and our picture takings are prettier. Bottom line: Alex is absolutely worth it. He's patient, helpful, and has the right mindset when it comes to teaching dogs AND people.

Luckily, we worked through 4 sessions with Steven Myers and I'm fairly convinced he could train Cerberus given enough patience and owner effort. He listened to my specific concerns (biting, barking, using the house as a port-a-potty) and addressed each one through training - training of both myself and the new dog. With his training and following "homework" training at home, my little guy has gone from violating most of the Geneva Convention to being a happy gentleman. I cannot recommend the Canine Mind enough, and if the other trainers are even in the same ballpark as Steven, then all of them will do absolute wonders for any dog!
