Great stop on our way to a show at the Hilton Milwaukee. Surprisingly, they had cheaper beer than we found at Soblemans where we stopped first for dinner. The line moved fairly quick and they had an assortment of beers, cocktails and liquor. Not bad pricing for a double Maker's ($13) and a pint of Oberon ($7). As we already had dinner, didn't try any of the food. However, it smelled great! Smashburgers and the like available.

Taco Smashburger. Patty, spicyyy jalapeños, taco seasoning, sour cream, and onions. Fries.

I could sing Draft & Co's praises all day long. From its convenient location to its delicious Smashburgers, there isn't a thing I don't like about this place. My two favorite burgers are a plain smash with fried onions and, on a Tuesday, the Taco Smashburger. See my photos for descriptions. The service is always quick and friendly. Blake, Christie, and Alyssa ar my favored bartenders, though I haven't met all of that crew. Chef Brad and his kitchen creatives crank out tasty burgers, as well as yummy appetizers. Expediter Amber keeps the entire place humming as she delivers food, busses tables, and greets incoming patrons. (On the appetizer scene, I frequently order the pretzel sticks, skipping the mustard dip and going for a double dose of their house-made beer cheese sauce.)

Photo doesn't do it justice, but the smash burger was fantastic.

Draft & Co was a lifesaver during a trade show in Milwaukee. It's located right across the street from the Baird Center and the Hilton Milwaukee, making it the perfect spot to sneak away for a quick lunch or happy hour between meetings. Service was fast, I sat at the bar. The tap list had plenty of great local and craft beer options, and the smash burger was seriously good--simple, flavorful, and exactly what I was craving after a long day on the show floor. Cool atmosphere, efficient service, and a convenient location. If you're in Milwaukee for a convention or trade show, this is an easy recommendation.

Amazing burger, definitely top 5 I've had in town, smash or otherwise! Patties were not thin with caramelized as expected with smash patties, and it didn't matter because the burger is so damn good! Bun is fresh and lightly toasted and buttered. Fries were salted appropriately and the battered cheese curds were crunchy and provided a nice cheese pull. Bartender was friendly and the mostly local beers on tap are solid. I'll be back! This place is legit! Go check it out!

Pleasantly surprised by how quality this place was. Food and beer was amazing. Server's were nice too. Good atmosphere.

Really sweet place! It was my first time going with a friend. It was a beautiful day and it's kind of an open air concept if that makes sense. Like there's a roof, but there's all these windows and doors and garage doors open. I definitely can't wait to go back. Bartender was awesome too. Just had a really good vibe. I definitely recommend.

We had to come check this place out after wondering what on earth the empty building in this beautiful new plaza was for what felt like forever, and it did NOT disappoint. The menu is small but delicious and affordable bar food/snacks. 20 beers on draft and more Wisconsin staples by the can/bottle, and a few select cocktails for the non-beer folks. We plan to make a return trip in the summer to see how cool everything looks with the doors open!

I watched them building this restaurant out as it is just walking distance from work and finally got to try it a little while after they opened. I've since been back several times and they are quite consistent. Their beer selection is quite good and focused on locally grown beers even though they have some foreign beers from far flung places like Illinois. While you might get selection paralysis on the beer menu, you sure won't with the food menu and that's a good thing. Just yesterday they nearly doubled the menu by adding a bratwurst burger and loaded fries. I ordered the brat burger and loved it. I think it could use sauerkraut but they used an excellent mustard so they are forgiven. The edge of the better had a nice little bit of crisp just as it should. Definitely coming back here.

These smashburgers were incredible! The loaded fries and cheese curds were so good! Will definitely return!

Draft & Co is such a cool design & concept. My husband and I went to check it out and were very happy with the results! We ordered chicken strips, smash burger, and lb of fries (forgot to take photos because it was so good & I was very hungry). Hands down would go back for the burger and fries! Plus they have fun homemade dipping sauce we to choose from- my fave was the Draft Sauce. They had drink selections for everyone from your Miller Lite, local breweries, to unique taps. They also had a few cocktails and two wines on tap! Can't wait to go back! It's also nicely located to Baird Center!

Solid smash burger but too small for price. Every little thing is upcharged. Great fries though and cool location.

First time here. It's a historic building on the south end of Bay View. A big old white building…read more(previously called the White House) with a small parking lot on the south side. We had reservations at 6:00 on a Saturday night. (It was cold, a little drizzly, and windy out.) The front entrance has several steep steps, and when you walk through, you are literally at the host station. They were going to seat us right behind the host station, but we knew it was going to be a problem as people went in and out. We asked to be seated a little farther from the door, and after a bit of discussion (it sounded like this was going to be a little issue), they were able to find a table for two in the parlor. So glad! Got settled in right away with menus and waters. Our server did a good job of getting us up to speed on the menu, the service, and the cocktails. They did a very good job throughout the evening (thanks, Roberto). We settled on the Window Seat (Beef Tallow and Rosemary Washed Vodka, crazy but true) and the Night Clubbing (with espresso-infused Campari). Both were very good choices. We decided that we wanted to start with three dishes and then regroup if we needed more. These included the Bok Choy Salad, Cumin and Cinnamon Braised Pork Shoulder, and Venison Tartare (Dijon Ice Cream?). The Bok Choy Salad was a real surprise, with the entire collection being so bright and flavorful. The dates had a meaty quality. The dressing with Nuoc Cham was savory with just a bit of heat. We both decided that we could have made an entire meal of that. The Pork Shoulder came next and was a good portion, with the meat tender and flavorful. The Quinoa Polenta was interesting, but I can't say that it was something I would seek out. I have had Beef Tartare before, but this was a first for Venison Tartare, so of course I just had to order it. What struck me first was that the entire thing (not just the Dijon Ice Cream) was very cold, almost frozen. I tried a couple of bites, and it was so cold that unless you let it sit in your mouth to thaw out, it was somewhat tasteless. I spread it around the plate to thaw out, and it was a big improvement. It's a good-sized portion, and even after loading up on the three pieces of bread, there was still plenty left (maybe a couple more pieces of bread?). There were a couple of desserts that we would have loved to try, but we were full and had a performance to attend. So we will have to wait until next time. Really enjoyed our first dinner. Loved the inventiveness of the menu. The staff all seem to really care about the business and the diners. With the placement of the front door and the draftiness of the dining room, we will likely book our next dinner when the weather turns warmer.

I tried the lamb jerk dumplings and tofu. Highly recommend. They both had unique flavors especially the lamb. The tofu had a nice crispy texture to it with the soy based sauce glazed over it with scallions. I also tried a mocktail version of La Pucelle, it wasn't explicitly listed in the mocktails section so you can order a mocktail version of some the alcoholic cocktails. For dessert I tried the Panna Cotta, it was my first time ever trying it and tho go get it was really good. It had a pomegranate sorbet scoop on top sprinkled with frankincense laid on a bed of shaved ice with the creamy base at the bottom of the bowl. It was refreshing! The waiter was very helpful, he explained how they served food and drinks and when I asked about I n residents for the dessert he was able to describe them in detail.

You can also buy cheeses from the dairy and others, as well as assorted related products at a small retail section or cut fresh from the cheese case. Parking is on the street and can be a pain in this saturated area. The reason for the drop in stars? Prior visits got you more wines and more food to pair it with. This visit had prices steady but fewer wines, less cheese and $1 upcharge for some wafer crackers. They made it into a gluten free spread so we had four types of cheese in lieu of the seasoned dried meat and gluten free crackers.
