My old Gateway FX had been sitting dead in my closet for a couple of years. The shell was busted, the power cord missing and it hadn't given me any sign of life in over three years. Dr. Tech PC, Salar Kohnechi, came to my house to talk to me and pick up the computer then brought this dead laptop to life. How dead was my laptop ? - There were actual real bugs inside the shell. Salar fixed the laptop for a very reasonable price. He replaced some of the internal parts, included a new hard drive and a power source. Then he delivered the laptop to my house. He also helped me work through a couple of glitches caused by software conflicts. Salar also works on Smart Phones including the Apple iPhone. He can solve both hardware and software problems. I've taken computers to two other repair places in Pasadena and they really were bad. Salar is on a mission to both make his service personal and excellent. I called to get the cracked screen on my phone fixed, everywhere else wanted to charge me an arm and leg. Then I called Sean and he fixed it for me for a very reasonable price. He even fixed in half the time everywhere else quoted me. I have not had any problems with it and it looks as good as new. Will definitely be using him again for all my tech needs. Took my iPhone to Sean and he took care of my phone in a day. Replaced my iPhone 6's screen and in the meantime I had my mom's iPad's screen replaced as well. Sean was excellent to work with and returned both items within a couple days. Just in time for my trip to Las Vegas. Cox sent a letter saying our modem was outdated and we needed a new one. New modem was received in the mail. Easy installation guide but what they don't tell you is that it has to be activated. Called Cox three times to get it activated and finally they got it right but with a low signal. Other main problem was that our Eero mesh system didn't work now with the new modem. Cox could have a tech out in a few days but they would not touch the Eero. No help there. I looked on Yelp, found Dr Tech PC and all of the great reviews and gave a call. Received a call back within 5 minutes. 3 hours later Shaun shows up to the house. Super friendly and professional and even more importantly his skill level was fantastic. Looked at our system, figured out what the issue was, and ended up having to reinstall our Eero system. Shaun also suggested configuring the Eero differently than I had originally installed it a year ago and this made a huge difference in performance . The Wi-Fi is now as fast as I have ever seen Wi-Fi thanks to Shaun. Shaun also looked at my Dell desktop for work, gave me his views on it, his recommendations on a new pc that he would build, and how to maximize performance in the interim. My son's MacBook Pro had a SMART error for the hard drive. I called Shaun and asked for a quote on the replacement of the SSD. He did not have any openings till later that day, but was able to get us in if we brought the laptop to him. We took the laptop in and he called within 2 hours and explained that it would be a different SSD than he originally thought and he would have to order the part. We agreed on the price and laptop was fixed within a day after receiving parts. He even cleaned out the dust on the inside we were not aware of. Works great! read more

I had a Dell XPS for 3 years, and It was riddled with viruses and was slow and had so many problems. I came to Dr. Tech PC to get a new computer. Not only did they help me get a new computer, they built one from scratch, worked with me and talked to me about deals on newegg so I could get the best deal, transferred my files from my old HDD onto my new HDD, and set up my new computer. We had lots of issues with my daughters laptop. We had a cracked computer monitor that he ordered the glass screen and repaired quickly. My daughter needed to go back to Cornell after winter break and needed help transferring multiple computer laptops onto a new storage device, cleaning up the large amount of bugs and problems she had collected and syncing her iphone with photo albums and cleaning out the massive photo duplicates that had happened from several broken phone issues. Dr. Tech spent several hours at our home trying to get it all done with little notice and our need to make a plane departure back to school. He loaded a program on her laptop so we were able to contact him from New York for help on any issues. We are going to use him again next week to get all of our stuff updated now that she has graduated. After the Apple Store was unable to recover the photos from my daughter's crashed computer (or even get it to boot-up) I called Dr Tech PC on a Saturday afternoon. The owner, Shaun, was at my door 30 minutes later. He listened carefully while I explained the problems...the computer would not even turn on, let alone boot-up. He trouble shot the computer at my house, then took it back to his office to repair, since the repairs would be difficult and would require additional tools to fix. Shaun checked in with me a few times during the process, to update me on the progress, and to verify how I wanted to proceed. A few days later, Shaun brought back the, now working, computer, with a new, larger, working hard drive, and all of my daughter's recovered photos right there on the computer! He also repaired both of my daughter's broken, portable hard drives (and backed-up the recovered photos for her.) His prices were so reasonable that I actually paid him a bit more than he billed me. (It just didn't seem right to pay him that little for all of the work he did.) I can't say enough good things about Shaun! Extremely bright, talented, trustworthy, caring and qualified.
