The very positive reviews on Yelp caused me to call on Dr. Slide Door for a very jammed and tricky sliding door lock repair. Shai's response was amazingly fast, polite, kind and clear. He offered to come by for no charge, take a look at what is needed, then give me an estimate. He did so within a day. When we agreed on the price, he had to go and get a new lock from his supplier. He ended up later than anticipated in his return but he kept us informed all along that he was stuck in traffic. He then came later and when he took the entire lock out, he found that he was able to repair it and did not need to replace it. He fixed that and another loose lock and reduced his price considerably from the estimate. We were very impressed. Such honest and capable service is rarely encountered any more. The technician was on time and had a great personality. I had two sliding patio doors that took a lot of pressure to open and close. The technician was very experienced and even though the frame had settled a little he was still able to get the sliding glass door out. He replaced the old rollers with heavy duty stainless steel rollers and after putting everything back together the doors now roll with little effort. Based on yelp reviews, I decided to hire Dr. Slide-Door to come and assist. My sliding glass door has been jamming for quite some time and takes real effort to open and close. I am a 6ft person and it would take some time to move it on my own. When he was finished diagnosing he promised me when he was done, I would be able to move it with one finger and that my children (4 1/2 both) would be able to open it no problem. Sure enough (within 45 minutes, he had replaced the track, cleaned it and added new wheels to the glass door. Shay came out, on time, to repair a couple of doors, an old sliding steel door, which hasn't been touched in 45 years and hence could be problematic, and two huge floor-to-ceiling bedroom "mirror" doors that seemed easily breakable. Both were repaired safely, quickly and now move like new. The bedroom door slides so well that you have to be careful pushing it so as not to have an impact when it reaches the closet sides.
