Pulled pork, Chicken Breast Fried Apples Mash potatoes
Caden C.

The food was great! I loved the fried apples and the sweet mash potatoes. Prices are a little steep so be prepared (It's a BBQ place so I get it). The interior is super nice and I docked my boat outside so that worked out perfectly. The service was quick and our server was super nice and even gave use free extra corn bread! Lemonade was excellent as well! It's got the good ice cubes :)

All the food was amazing! The cornbread with honey butter was terrific. Some of the best lemonade I've had as well. Our waitress provided great service and our food came out quick. I would highly recommend Dr. Rolf's BBQ to everyone!

HFC! This is the best BBQ I've ever had! I've had Great and Amazing, but this was Spectacular! The Grand Haven location is a little unique. It's located inside the Grand Armory Brewery. It's a nice atmosphere with high ceilings making it feel more open than it is. You can sit inside or out or get Takeout. Your drinks and food come from different locations. The ordering is different than most places too. You can either go up to the food counter to order your food and tell them your table number and they will deliver it. Then you go to bar to order your drinks and ditto. Also the only soda on tap is Draft Root Beer. The other way to order is to use your phone and 2 separate QR's. This brings you to toasttab. Here you order your food, and pay on your phone and they deliver it to your table. Then you have the drink one which also uses toasttab, but this time you open a tab. Select your drinks and they are delivered. When your all done you close tab and your all done. I ordered the 3 meats and 2 sides ($25). I chose Pulled Pork, Brisket, and Beef Polish Sausage for my meats. For my sides I got Butter Beads and Fried Apples! It also came with Cornbread Waffle. For a drink I got the Draft Root Beer ($2 each). Everything was Outstanding. My taste buds threw a rager! Everything was tender, everything had it own unique and wonderful taste.  I don't really know what makes them butter beans, but where have you been my whole life. The Root Beer was top notch, easily worth the price. Also the sauces I tried were Original, Peach Apricot, and Blueberry or Blackberry. The were all very liquid, aka not thick at all. I really liked them all. Sauce isn't needed, but it really does enhance the meats. The cornbread Waffle was the best cornbread I've ever had also, and the Honey butter just plain is heaven on top. The service for what it is was very good. Drinks came out very quick and food was delivered promptly when it was finished cooking. Overall am easy 10. I mean 5 star review. Would I return? Lol! Duh! Can we please get a location in Grand Rapids, preferably south side!

Went for an early dinner. Was seated outside, so far so good. Ordered some IPA s good price so far so good. Ordered ribs and chicken parts. Wheels came off the cart. The rib portion was two small dried out ribs that had to be from a day or two ago. I smoke meat a lot, and this was pathetic. The chicken parts were meh, the slaw way too much jalapeño. I asked the manager about the rib situation and she snapped "what do you want". Thats our serving. No solution offered not even sorry I did not like it. We won't be back, not that it appears to matter

Stop #21 on our Hundreds of Hops Tour…read more This unassuming sleeper is tucked in next to a sometimes open dive bar & it's 100% worth a stop. We were greeted by a full wall mural in Caribbean style, with the theme continued throughout. There was a cooler with Mexican soda, which made sense after chatting with the owner. This place just SCREAMS, "sit down & chill for a while." Something we've come to love about the small breweries is getting up close & personal with brewers, seeing their passion for their art & experiencing their willingness to share the how, what, why & even the where you should try next. While every brew we tried here was on point, Big Chungus was our favorite of the trip. We also were in agreement that the selection here was the most balanced & well-rounded out of all of our stops... leaves ya saying, "Founders who? Bells what?" Do yourself a favor if you're in the area & stop by for a drink or 3, and enjoy the company great people.

A favorite was the "Wicked Smaht" - a double IPA with mango, passionfruit, and pineapple undertones. They have outdoor seating. Don't believe they serve food but I saw people with dominoes pizza If you bike there, there are plenty of bike stands.

The service was great and the food and coffee drinks came out quick. For drinks I had a banana bread latte and he ordered a mocha with an extra shot. Both were delicious! We ordered 3 different entrees to share - I might not have the names right, so please bear with me if you try to find them on the menu and you can't find the exact same thing. Started off strong with the breakfast burrito. It was so good! I don't know if it had a cheese sauce or just melted American cheese, but it was a good balance of cheese, hash browns, eggs and sausage. The munchwrap was awesome with chorizo sausage, hash browns, a tostada for crunch and cheese all grilled up in a flour tortilla. Last and our least liked was the Cheddar Bay Biscuit bowl. I like the concept, but the execution was poor. The biscuit had been microwaved damn near to death. It was hard to cut through with a knife. The consistency was somehow soggy and hard while also chewy. Add to that the saltiest sausage gravy ever. We each ate one bite, said no thank you and tossed it. Everything else was so good, this might just be a bad one off, but I don't think I could be convinced to try it again. I don't think food is served all day, so if you are hungry, get there before 2pm (I think).

I asked the bartender (I wish I would have got his name) if they had any options for me given those 3 things, and he came up with a DELICIOUS sugar free iced coffee option that was so good that one of the friends who had been drinking all night decided she wanted one to go along with her beer. It's sometimes hard as the DD to find a place with any variety and I was so happy to have a place make me a priority too. After all, your DDs are getting those drinkers safely to and from your establishment to bring in those big bucks - so you should give them a little thank you by treating them nicely as well. Thanks Rake Beer Project, for going above and beyond.

We paid 90 something dollars for a veggie platter, to have wilted tomatoes, dry carrots and no broccoli. We paid 15 dollars a pizza to have the pizza just to be cold and small. If i recall it was only a 12 inch personal pizza for 15 bucks.. And the chicken in the pot was soggy because they steamed it for an hour before we where able to access it. We noticed a safety hazard and made sure management noted it for when we leave and not shortly after that they jacked up the music very very loud intending to kick us out. Overall we where really disappointed and would not recommend this place for a get together.

So, when my friends and I were in Saugatuck for a bachelorette party and decided to stop by New Holland Brewery, I was stoked and we were not disappointed. The vibes, service, and food were all great, and the menu has plenty of options to choose from. Even without a reservation, we were able to get a table upstairs that comfortably fit our large group, which was impressive given how busy the place was. Our waitress did an amazing job keeping up with such a big party and made sure everyone was taken care of. The menu offers a nice variety, including starters, pizzas, salads, soups, and sandwiches, all at very reasonable prices. Most entrees fall in the $15 to $20 range. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted because so many items sounded good, but I ultimately ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich for $15 with a side of cream of potato soup. Both were excellent. The chicken was huge, perfectly cooked, and well-seasoned with just the right amount of heat. The soup was creamy with a great balance of potatoes. Overall, I genuinely loved my meal and would absolutely return the next time I am in town. I also did not hear a single complaint from anyone in our group, which says a lot when dining with a large party.
