In its 12-acre land, the installations of lantern lights are everywhere. After 8:30pm or so when it's dark, the illuminations from the lanterns are glowing brighter than Las Vegas' illuminations (LOL - why am I comparing this to Las Vegas!!) According to the park's website, some of the sculptures are 23-foot tall (such as the cherry blossom gate.) It's currently open from Wednesday through Sunday until October 5th. And last night's was one of the adult-only nights where you must be 21+ to enter (I believe the next and last such night is Sept 17th. And this writing is as of late August of 2025.) I am already curious as to what the next year's theme is going to be. There is a centralized bar, some food vendors, a stage where a performer performs, and a DJ booth. Great for family time, girls' night or date night. Helpful staff were working tirelessly to assist all visitors. Although about 1,300 tickets were sold last night, it was never super jammed packed. There is still time to visit this enchanting light show. Not only for the locals but definitely one of the must-visit attractions for out-of-staters as well.

We came with family and our daughter, All the adults and a total of 4 children(range from 2-7) we sat in a separate room(pool room) where no one was sitting. This was a Tuesday night at 6 pm and there were maybe 4 other tables in the main room Occupied. Place was dead. After placing over $180 on a tab, we were told 20 minutes into our time there that the kids were too loud and to keep it down... again, place was dead and this has always been a family friendly spot. We again 40 min later had someone from the main room scream at us to "go to a fu$@ing playground" and the staff made us feel very uncomfortable after it as well. I'm so disappointed by one of our truly favorite spots that's literally across the trees from us.

If you want to deal with the joke of Glendale...a women who is an incompetent bartender, consistently has attitude, always complaining about her lack of tips and barley can pour a beer, make sure to ask for Mel at this dump. Honestly some one who thinks she hot shit as the rest of the regulars in this town can only laugh. Come to this bar to sit in a dump and be treated like a 2nd class citizen. Also, drugs are promoted and heavily used in the restrooms. This is a place I use to frequent until it became more of a job than a relaxing spot to be at. Breaking up fights on a regular bases and dealing with the politics...etc. If you are going to pay the premium of a bar, no need to deal with the trash of Glendale...it would be a blessing for the town of Glendale if they just went out of business; and they are not far from it so the celebration is comming!! This review is also comming from a professional bartender that spent 15 years in the industey...no one who works here would be hired at any of my bars; nor should they work at any reputable watering hole. As they constantly smoke pot to take off the edge...the stress that comes with properly serving a half empty bar lmao... smoking I have no problem with and heavily promote, it is somthing I rely on as well. Yet their neglect and incompetence after smoking, while waiting endlessly for a drink as they try to collecivly figure out how to operate a beer tap (somthing so complicated...espicallt for Mel who you would assume know how to grab and pull)- their absuridity is offensive and tiresome to constantly deal with. One only can only try to understand why they are paying for drinks and tipping these idots. It is a pure incovience and this city would be a better place without this shithole that relays on employing incompetent trash. Those who are unemploable, apply here. Its not for the money, as you will still be broke after a full shift (only what I hear from serveral of the starving bartenders). However, the self esteem boost you will get from the regulars who deal coke should up for it. Quite the payoff! As a side not Mel is a person I have been out with and was crawling after a few drinks. She should have just been kicked to the curb with the consistent lack of respect she shows. However, some people are more decent than others. read more

I came within seconds and then proceeded to get belligerently wasted and drove home. Dr. Proctor's is a great local bar. With five pool tables, which are free from 11:00 AM. until 5:00 PM. Great bartenders, clients, owner/manager. If you looking for a fern bar, this isn't it. But if you are looking for a low key, fun place to shoot some pool you've found it. There food is good, although a bit unconventional; it is great bar food. read more

We still go there. Mostly on Thursday afternoons but might try elsewhere now. The change in waitresses hurts. The later one is so rude. So, go early if you want good service. But, they have great tacos for cheap at happy hour. And free pool too read more
