Bartender isn't very friendly. Beer was cheap but they were not very accommodating to our fun crowd.

Solid place to relax and play some free pool. They also have a really good sound system which is great for sports fans. Staff is extremely friendly. The food menu is small, but fairly good as lounge good goes. read more

Love this place, I constantly feel at home here. The staff is friendly, and reciprocates it as long as you're not a drunk moron. The place is a cheap, local bar. So not go in expecting something super nice. The food is just ok. If you want to see some karaoke, and buy a cheap beer, you're heading in the right direction. The bartender is great when we walk in after rugby practice from infinity park. She's always bringing us a pitcher and water right away. Very much a "locals" bar... So let's get the with a grain of salt out of the way. You need to come here more than a couple of times to like this place. The Bad. It's small, dark, with a very limited selection of potential cocktails (forget about juices other than orange juice or bitters). The juke box doesn't play unless someone is paying for a song so expect weird gaps between television audio and selected songs. Draft beers are super limited (shocktop, bud, and bud light) The Good: It's cheap. Well drinks and draft beers are very reasonable and you can leave with a heavy pocket book. The bartenders are nice, make conversation, and remember you. So many places you walk in and no matter how many times you have been there you're just as anonymous as the first day. Shout out to Dane who remembered my name the 2nd time I came in and continued to learn about me and make conversation based on what we'd talked about previously. All in all it's a small local joint and you can feel comfortable, listen to some good tunes, and have a good time without paying too much. It's also the best option within a couple of miles. So, this is the only place I have been to in the Glendale area, and I have to say... I'm NOT impressed. I would expect this bar to be somewhere in Midwestern Kansas or something like that. The bartender was, for the most part, nice. It just seemed like everyone already knew each other and were super close friends. Which is understandable at any local bar, but here it was like if you don't know us, then you aren't welcome.. I would advise anyone looking for a cool relaxed bar to try bush and bull or jax. Most people at this bar are unattractive. It is a crowd that makes up for their homeliness with cheap beer served right.

This is the best dive bar in the area. Its dark, cheap and has an eclectic mix of customers. On a Saturday night you will see the entire spectrum of humanity in all of its drunkenly gregarious glory. The bar staff are competent, friendly and always remember you. Their four bartenders are all great. I just wish they had a more extensive whiskey selection, some nights I would kill for a Glenlivet or Johnie Walker Black. read more

This is the truly divest of neighborhood dive bars, and I love it! My husband and I discovered it a few weeks ago--its within close walking distance of my place--and have been back a few times since. It's dark and definitely no-frills, but the service is fast, the drinks cheap and well-made, and there are plenty of pool tables if you're looking to play. Dr. Proctors has been a second home for me since i moved to denver. Especially karaoke on Thursdays and Sundays.

The bar smells and the drinks are overpriced for a dive bar. The food looks pretty sketchy, havent had the courage to try anything. They do have darts, pool, and giant jenga which is a plus. STAFF is pretty nice also but I couldn't see myself going back there. To much of a hole in the wall bar for me. read more

The first time my girlfriend and I went here we were creeped out my old drunk men, but the second time we went was Saturday and we hadn't had that much fun for awhile. Everyone was so nice. I am sad we lived across the street for a year and we are moving next month. This place is great and the karaoke DJ is great. read more

Arrived for pool league about quarter to 7, settled in, looked at the menu, saw happy hour ended at 7 and went to catch my waitress at the bar after already having ordered a beer. Asked for a food menu item on the happy hour menu and she pointed at the clock which read 7:10 (bar time) though my phone said 6:55, and, basically in a very non customer service attidue said too bad I couldn't. Not like the kitchen was closing, nor asking past 7:00 real time. What bars still use bar time anyway? Needless to say I didn't order any food. read more

Nice dive bar for the pool players, plenty of screens to watch the big game the menu is simple with better than average bar food. The food is prepared at the time of order not an assembly line, made to order burgers are very good. The wait staff is very friendly and always tries to accommodate the entire bar. Went to this place recently and I had fun. The regular people are very friendly. Lots of pool tables and good players. Drink prices are very reasonable with daily specials. I had a very tasty beef burrito and some great green chili from the kitchen. Lots of TV's everywhere and a large 70 inch projector TV up on the stage. Probably the worst place I've ever been to in Denver, hands-down. Very nasty odor and musty inside. Saw cockroaches crawling about their way on the floor. It took over 30 minutes to get a simple drink and chips and salsa order. The waitress/server gal didn't even apologize. And had a really condescending demeanor. Chips were stale and tasteless and I'm almost certain the salsa was Pace from the store old and acidic. Two guys got into a fight by the pool table area and the staff couldn't care less. The guy behind the bar with a buzz cut and glasses seemed to encourage it and was grinning. Very unsafe environment and rude employees. Don't waste your money at this place. read more

I braved this dandy of a spot with my wife after a nice dinner in Cherry Creek. The scene was slightly different than what we started the night with, but right up our alley. After 3 years of saying "we have to try that place" we stopped in when we found out a couple of our buddies were there tossing back beers. The service was ample, and the scenery was real divebar like... exactly what we were after. It was a Friday from about 9:30-11:00. Mixed crowd, a few people I didn't want to make eye contact with, but plenty that were just there doing what we were doing... trying to get drunk and make unrememberable memories. The bartender did say that it was nice to see "strange faces". Sounds like there are some real winners that camp out in there on a daily basis. Love it. We live nearby, and will definately drop in again. P.S. If you want to know what a shot of any of the booze are, just look at the bottles... they've marked the prices on them with a permanent marker. A total "dive bar" but that's obvious from the second you see it! A lot of fun though! Free games, entertaining (very!) karaoke and friendly bartenders. The food is not good, but I don't think people would expect that. Fun for a chill night out at a dive bar! read more

Decent local hangout. The owner is the sweetest lady and I have never had a problem with staff or drinks. Doc Procs is absolutely the quintessential seedy dive bar you'd imagine. It's lurking in a strip mall with a couple restaurants and a retail shop for "dancewear," which sounds and looks like stripper-wear. Doc Procs itself is a country-heavy shoebox of a location where the locals take their dogs into the bar, sink karaoke, and don't take kindly to outsiders...ok maybe that last bit is an exaggeration, but still. You get feeling that absolutely everyone knows everyone else here and they stare at everyone else. The barkeep is friendly enough, but who's tending seems to change every five minutes and their version of a tab is a poorly written slip of paper in a stack of other papers...one of which might belong to you if you're drinking--or not. The waitress looks personally affronted if you want to order anything. In fact, I'm not sure why they have a waitress since the distance from the front of the bar to the back is only about the size of my livingroom. The kitchen keeps no hours--apparently "he," whoever he is, just stops/starts cooking whenever. If you ask the owner, he honestly can't tell you when they serve or really open. The only impressive thing about Dr Proctor's in fact, is that it's about the cheapest thing out there other than just buying a bottle of Jim at the Argonaut and swilling it in a parking lot. If you're looking for a moronically cheap drink that's not in your livingroom, Doc Procs is it...but I'd rather pay and extra couple of bucks and go somewhere where I know they serve a decent burger and/or can get you the menu to order one. read more

Would give it zero stars if possible. Went in to play pool on st Patrick's day and walked down to see the pool tables. My boyfriend went to the bar to get a beer and Suzy asked him to get my id. I went to the bathroom and he said hold on and asked for a beer in the meantime. She started pouring a bud light (which he doesn't even like). And he told her that's not what he wanted. She just kept pouring and so he said screw this and decided to wait outside for me. In mid pee, she walked in and said "hello" I said it back and she told me to get out. I said I was peeing and she said well hurry and leave. I've never felt more disrespected. The worst bartender I've experienced. Who pours a beer without asking what kind they want and who kicks someone out before even seeing there ID. I will never go back. read more

Yes, there's cheap beer but you definitely pay the price with rude, unattentive staff. I came in Thursday night with a four of me friends. As soon as we walked in we were "politely" greeted by a bartender named Maggie. She literally screams at us and says, "I need to see 1,2,3,4,5 IDs ASAP!" So I hand her mine she throws mine back at me. My boyfriend ordered a pitcher of beer and my friends ordered drinks as well. We walk over to a table she comes back and starts auctioning off our drinks in a rude tone asking who's going to pay for what. I've been working in the service industry for a very long time and politely saying, "would you guys like to keep a card on file to start a tab or pay as you go?" Is just as effective. We move to the pool table to play a round of pool my boyfriend and I decided we want to play darts too so as we are walking over to the bar, to get darts we encounter Maggie walking the other direction, the bar is a little crowded she were somewhat close to her getting through the crowd. She looks at my boyfriend and says, "you need to get the fuck out of my way!" I was literally in shock at this point. We grab the darts and we had it sitting on the table for maybe 10 minutes while we wait for my friends to finish their pool game. Maggie walks up to the table grabs the darts and makes a rude remark to us about taking too long to play and tries to take the darts back. I live right be Dr. Proctors so I come here often. It was always a go-to place to grab cheap beers with my friends. After my experience Thursday night I will never step foot in this establishment ever again. Start teaching your staff what good hospitality and customer service is or you guys are going out of business faster than your heads can turn. I have never felt so disdained at a restaurant or bar. read more

Found this spot a few weeks ago. It's only 4 blocks from home and damn... Couldn't have gotten luckier than to live this close to the coolest dive bar I've been in awhile. Great staff as well!! read more
