Yes, they know how to fix phone screens, but don't be deceived by the good reviews. Those reviews aren't real. Believe me. My experience concluded with a call to LAPD. Owner, Juda, is a loudmouth who could sell ice to a polar bear. He is also as dishonest as the day as long. But, he knows how to talk his way out of anything. After they repaired an iphone 5 screen (competently enough), I brought in a MacBook Air with a damaged display. They did not know how to fix it. Wouldn't even give me a repair estimate. When I finally came to pick it up so I could take it to someone who knows how to fix it, Juda demanded a $100 for "storage" and "diagnosis." For something he did not know how to fix. Nothing in writing. When I balked at paying, Juda became aggressive and threatened to assault me and vandalize the computer. I called the cops. Juda tried to sweet talk them by promising an LAPD discount. Got the computer back minus the power cord which Juda kept for himself. Then, we learned that on top of everything else he destroyed the computer's motherboard. Just icing on the cake. Avoid, avoid, avoid! read more

I have to let all Yelp! users know about Dr. Digital. This may be the most valuable Yelp! experience I have ever had. I say that because if you want to put a pricetag on how much I would have suffered and the time it would have taken to get me back in business vs. how they helped and what they charged then their assistance was the most valuable I have ever experienced. Before I continue, this is NOT a review for a cracked cell phone screen or some phone repair job. It appears there are a lot of reviews of that nature for this company. That is great and all but I needed a skilled laptop/desktop repair technician with knowledge of the latest Windows operating systems and updated versions. If you need COMPUTER REPAIR do not pass on this company just because you read a bunch of cracked glass iphone repair reviews. I run 2 internet companies and my lifeblood is my laptop. If it is out of commission then Im in deep trouble. I had been avoiding and X-ing out the Windows 10 upgrade for quite a while. I did NOT want to upgrade since I had major problems when I upgraded from 8 to 8.1 version. I never want to do this again especially because I use 5 screens and the multiple screen issues that arose were a disaster. Without going into a bunch of detail, NVidia cards were not supported and created problems. I had a computer repair expert come out to my office on a Saturday morning for an urgent call. He has experience with computer repair and has fixed issues for me in the past. I wont mention his name or company because he failed miserably. He not only did NOT fix the problem where I could not use all my other monitors but he managed to make my primary laptops screen completely BLACK. My laptop was now completely useless. At least before I had the one laptop screen. He advised me to take my laptop to Geek Squad at Best Buy. I was immediately skeptical and said I had issues with them and their level of expertise in the past. Then he advised me to go to Fry's which had an in house repair facility. I ran to Fry's on that Saturday where they tried to hook my laptop up to an external monitor. After a few quick troubleshooting steps they told me the standard garbage: we need 3 to 5 business days to diagnose the issue then we will most likely need to reinstall a clean version of windows- do you have everything backed up? Criminal. All I could think of was all the pop settings in outlook (I have over 50 emails) and all the other programs I would need to reinstall, etc. Just the most anxiety Ive had in a while. Their assessment and time to fix the issue was totally unacceptable. As a long shot, now being late in the day on a Saturday, I did a Yelp! search in my car for computer repair. I got a gentleman on the phone named Sam who said I could come in right now and we would take a look. When I arrived I saw a workshop where technicians were laboring over devices and electronics. Sam hooked my laptop up to an external monitor and let me know that he got the same result. However he just pressed CTRL+K or some letter which was the Windows 10 hot key for turning off the screen. That SIMPLE ACT fixed my monitor and I at the very least was back in business immediately! Remember, I had a veteran expert come to my office who couldn't figure this out and I had the Technician at Fry's who missed that as well. Only someone with working, up to date knowledge of the latest operating systems, in this case Windows 10, would know that this existed. Sam knew. This where it gets even better. Sam then showed me a very simple way to go to the control panel and then simply REVERT BACK to my exact original configuration of Windows 8.1! It was right there on the screen: he showed me how you go to this page and it asks you "Do you want to revert back to Windows 8.1?" He said you only have 14 days to do this option so do this asap. I said I would do it the second I drove back to the office. I said will this fix all my monitors in the office? He said yes it will go back to exactly the way it was. He was right. Everything is completely fixed now and its all because of the knowledge and expertise of Dr. Digital and Sam. I asked how much do I owe you? He said come on, what am I going to charge you for 5 minutes of work? He's so right. Other places would have kept my computer for 3-5 days simply so that they could charge more money. I know this is not a great way to stay in business as a small business owner but it it the best example I have seen to exhibit honesty, integrity and service. I did not pay a cent but I swore I would go and write Dr. Digital a good review. Its the very least I could do. Thank you. read more

Went in and the price to repair a iphone screen was great, the guy behind the desk told me I HAD to replace the LCD and that he was going to give me a deal and give it to me for 100$, except that every other place in the valley will replace the LCD and Glass for 80$. When I told him that, he told me that it was impossible and that Im making it up, but the place right down the street "Tarzana Iphone Repair" will do it for 80$, but when I got to the other place the guy said I didnt even have to change the LCD and the glass was all that needed too be replaced. I am so glad that I live near this place. If you live in or anywhere near the valley, the I would highly suggest coming to Dr Digital. This is the best electronic repair shop that I've ever been too by far and you better come here instead of Apple if you have a problem with your device. First off, they are very efficient and quick. When I went to Apple to try and get an LCD replacement they told me I would have to pick it up in two days. Dr Digital replaced it in 10 MINUTES. That is absolutely amazing and really impressive. Not only do they get work done, but they also have amazing prices. To replace and LCD at Apple costs 130 dollar. At Dr Digital it costed like 70-75 dollars. These guys are awesome! They were so nice and really knew what they were doing. He gave me the best price he could for fixing my broken laptop LCD screen. As soon as the part came in, it was fixed in like one day. He got it back to me even before he said it would be ready so that was a plus as well. I really enjoyed the service I got and the job was done right the first time. He also has a really cute and friendly old dog that hangs out in the waiting area. Very sweet! I should mention my Lenovo ideapad S400 touch is what was repaired and he only charged me $200. It was much less than I was expecting and for the service I got, I was willing to give that amount and I thought that was a very fair price. Guys are hilarious! I was there for about 20 minutes and he had a few regulars come in. People seem to swing by just because they are cool guys. My refurbished iPhone 4S had been through a lot. They charged me $65 to replace the front screen. While he was working on it he found loose screws "just hanging out" and a little bit of water damage. He cleaned it up and dealt with all the screws for no extra charge. The guys are totally cool. They love talking to people and having a good time. I almost want to go back just to hang out! My Galaxy S2 was toast, so I decided it was time to go another direction and replace it with an IPhone hand-me-down from my wife. The IPhone in my possession had a shattered LCD screen, so I sought the expertise of Mr. Digital to set me in the right direction. Problem was, the Galaxy was on a Sprint plan, and the Phone was an ATT phone. I thought I was going to have to go through multiple vendors just get my communications up and running again. Right off the bat, he was honest and upfront, curbing any enthusiasms or false hopes. He helped me make the choices that were best for me and tailored the repairs and service to fit my needs best. Everything he did saved me a boatload of money in the end! Juda is a wonderful, personable gentleman, with very extensive knowledge of his craft. His business is a one stop shop! So convenient! In well under a couple hours, he replaced the screen on the IPhone, all the while he worked some miraculous way to get my contacts and information from my old phone by McGuivering a screen via a cable to the Samsung motherboard using a screen that wasn't necessarily compatible with my model. It was a very impressive and resourceful workaround! Its incredibly amazing he was able to do this, considering my Galaxy's history: It had fallen in a bucket of yellow paint, fallen off of truck beds putting multiple cracks in the screen, its battery was always draining too and ultimately, it met its demise when I sat on it funny and the images turned black. Juda was able to complete all of the repairs and service transference, while working on the phone of another customer, and fielding 8 phone calls! I swore he had 8 hands. No big deal! After the repairs and transferring was complete, he guided me through the process which allowed me to port my Sprint number to the ATT IPhone. Originally I thought I was on the hook with my old Sprint contract early termination fee, but he painlessly guided me through the process and fed me with the right terminology to give to the Sprint representative in order to seamlessly make the switch, and with no fees from my former service provider. In summation--- one visit, he repaired a busted screen, hooked me up with a cell phone service I wanted and at a great monthly rate! I even purchased a long overdue Otterbox case for my phone, which is invaluable for a busy, fast moving dude like me. Not only did i have to write a review on the spot for a discount but i just seen on Yelp theyre iphone6 repairs r $79.99 so why did i pay $90 for my "glass repair". So, went to this place to get my macbook hard drive replaced thinking I could save money. I was told to by a hard drive ($69) that was compatible and that it would be installed by the next day. I paid $80 for the installation up front. The next day comes and I'm told that the hard drive is defective new out of box, which I thought weird. I was at the point that I couldn't mess around anymore and decided to just take my computer to the Apple store. The guy who tried installing my drive swore that it was the hard drive I bought and it couldn't be anything else. He also felt that he deserved payment for taking my computer apart and doing nothing, so I let him keep $40 just to get out of the store in a timely manner. Found out that my hard drive and a cable crucial for hard drive operation was bad and the hard drive I bought was fine and could be installed. Quick easy service. I had a iPhone 5s that didnt have a cracked screen but was acting funny. There was period of no response, and periods of it sending gobbly-gook text messages to friends and I couldn't stop it. A quick stop to Dr. Digital at lunch took care of the problem. The LCD / Digitizer (not the glass screen) has removal instructions on iFixit. However I dont have the time or inclination to fix it myself. So its best left to the pro's. 20 minutes later I had a new LCD panel and a new battery installed. I had an issue with the touch sensor, but a quick call to Sam fixed that. I just needed to reboot the phone. Otherwise good job guys. :) If I have a problem, I'll be back but lets keep my fingers crossed on this one. read more

I am actually typing from it right now from it and I can already see the beautiful works that Judah did with the laptop. Most importantly this thin, portable laptop does not overheat and has a very long battery life for how 'weak' the specs say it is. I shattered my iPhone 5s by shoving it off my bed while snoozing the alarm at 5am. Oops! Spent the whole day at work researching and calling up different phone repair businesses to replace the glass. I narrowed it down and based upon convenience (location), availability,(store hours), price, and prior Yelp reviews, I decided to go to Dr. Digital. The worker greeted me instantly and said my phone would be ready in 45 minutes (longer wait time because he was the only worker and was helping other customers). The screen seemed faintly tinted than before but I actually like it! Overall, everything was a breeze working with Dr. Digital - friendly service from the time I called them until I left the store with my repaired phone. There is a small parking lot behind the store, which I luckily found a spot. I appreciate the 3-month warranty. I came here because I cracked the screen on my android. Originally when I called I was told that they had the phone screen in stock and could do a same day repair. When I got there however they told me that it was the wrong screen and they would order the part. I left my phone there and they took about a week and a half to let me know that my phone was ready. On 12-09-17, after reading so many 5 star reviews* (see PS below), I took my Note 5 to Dr. Digital to repair the charging port. I paid owner/Juda $75 upfront. He was rude to a customer leaving the store & when I asked why, he gruffly stated, "If my customers are not nice, neither am I!" I was told the part would be in the following Tuesday and he would call me. In all fairness, he did provide me with a wireless remote charger so I could continue to use my phone. On Wednesday, not having heard from him, I called and reminded Juda he told me the part would be in yesterday and he would call me. He lashed out, "I have no control over UPS, and you are not my only customer!" After I called again and learned the part came in, I returned with a box of bakery cookies to show him I was a "nice" customer. He warmed up for a few seconds and then warned me the screen could break while repairing the charging port, but in 20 yrs, it never happened. If I was his first, he would only charge $35 (for breaking my phone!), back up my data & I could still file a claim with my T-Mobile insurance ($150 co-pay)--Not true. During the repair, he first said he caused "slight cosmetic" damage & then the LCD screen broke & my phone was no longer operable. I called from his store to file an insurance claim & was told as an outside business broke it, the warranty was voided. While in tears, after asking Juda if he still felt he should charge me, he blew up, angrily lashing out again, "JUST FOR THAT I'M NOT GOING TO BACK UP YOUR DATA! SO SUE ME!"--CONTINUING WITH A BULLYING TIRADE, SARCASTICALLY MIMICKING & INSULTING ME throwing $75 cash back at me which I left on his table. I'm 64 yrs old with a disability, recently having been hospitalized with pneumonia (which I previously told him about). Seeing the visible anger on his face, fearing he may become violent, & learning all my data & pictures were lost, I broke down hysterically sobbing which continued uncontrollably for several hours--I didn't feel I was in any condition to drive home. He admitted to having "Anger Issues". He reconsidered and agreed to back up the data but he had to leave & turned it over to his employee. I gave him back $35 he originally said I owed him & sat there for over 7 hrs (all the while still in shock and sobbing) with the back-up still not completed. His two employees, Yassivis and Kyle who were both very kind & sympathetic, to my chagrin, said I had to come back the next day. The next day Juda said my flash drive was defective, nothing had been backed up. I could bring another flash drive or he could repair the LCD screen he broke for $225 plus tax, including the $35.00 I had already paid him! When I asked if he would pay me something for my phone (for the parts), he said "Why would I want a phone that doesn't work!" Worst business encounter ever! I have only written 5 star reviews in the past. PS: Re Dr. Digital 5 star rating: It appears that Yelp's automated software omitted Dr. Digital's one star bad reviews with several stating Juda gives you a good discount if, while you're at his store, either you or he writes a 5 star yelp review/rating on your account.
