Highly recommend checking them out, and definitely ask for Billy! He's incredibly knowledgeable and clearly knows his craft.

Maybe they've improved since, but I gave up after the 2nd year. Both pairs of glasses I bought from them had the coating start peeling after ~1 year. I've attached a photo so you can see. If you replace glasses yearly, you might not care; otherwise it's frustrating. The doctor was fine; no complaints there. My issue is with the glasses they sell.

Let me start by saying I had no reason to. This location is nothing like the other. The doctors were great at both locations, but Sports Arena was still better by a landslide. The tech in the beginning was so nice and funny and made the whole start of it easy, even relaxed. I was able to redo my Neurovision test, which I needed for my BVD, binocular vision dysfunction. If you don't know what that is, they explain it well and walk you through your options of treatment, and it's worth it. My motion sickness is finally gone after having it my whole life. Back to the doctor, she was kind and thorough. She made sure I was getting what I needed and gave me options. My insurance covers prism lenses for BVD but not Neurolenses. I've used Neurolenses last time, and they help amazingly, but I wanted to see if the ones my insurance covered would work, so she worked up the numbers for both in case I needed to come back to switch out for the Neurolenses. When she brought me to the front to be helped with getting glasses and going over my insurance with the next person, they both reassured me that if the prisms didn't work, I could bring back my glasses, and the amount I paid would be put towards the other lenses. That was a relief. The gentleman in the front who helped me also helped my husband that day, and he was amazing. He had a freeing vibe that was all his own, and he knew how to read exactly what you wanted. They being frames to you so you don't have to wander. It was a nice surprise to be catered to like that. He made it fun, and the few pieces of feedback given, he took to heart and redirected exactly to what you needed. He found my favorite pair of frames I've ever had. I've gone back and forth from metal to plastic but almost always doing black. Without knowing it, he grabbed a clear pink pair I was eyeing from across the room like he was reading my mind. I'm in love with them. They're the best-fitting glasses I've ever had, which is saying a lot since I have a small head, and most fall off. I've had to get kids' glasses in the past. These were kids' glasses, and they were perfect. He did amazing. Best yet, he did his magic all over again with my husband and got him a pair of frames he loves that he normally would never go for. My husband is a brow glasses guy. This time, with the help of this gentleman and a lot of convincing from his wife, he tried a full frame and loves it. They know what they're doing here. We'll definitely be returning!

Walking around Seaport Village, we stumbled upon California Original Kiosk. My hubby was looking at couple of options for my LO and the cashier was nice enough to let our son try all of them on. I found Envision through my vision insurance and honestly just picked them from a list, and I'm SO glad I did. First of all, booking was EASY PEASY. I booked online, uploaded my information seamlessly, and they had appointments available really quickly. Then I walked in and was like... okayyyy, this place is COOL. Everything is so modern and high-tech. High-tech to the tech gods! The office is super cute, the vibes are immaculate, and EVERYONE was so sweet -- reception, assistants, doctors, everyone. Customer service in San Diego can be hit or miss, but this place? 10/10. Bonus: I brought my little dog with me and they were completely dog-friendly and told me she could stay out with me. That alone made me love them even more. They also have the CUTEST glasses. I basically walked out with everything I needed and was genuinely so happy with the whole experience. Parking can be a little tight because of the location, but that's literally my only note. I randomly chose this place with no personal recommendation, and somehow ended up finding my new eye doctor. I'll definitely be keeping Envision as my provider. 10/10 recommend!

He was very good , but pricey. Also, I didn't always like how his technicians would push optional tests on you that you didn't need. They also didnt always tell you about the cost. You'd walk out of his office after about $300 without contacts or glasses. You could end up spending about $1500 for glasses or more depending on your prescription and if you add all the bells and whistles. At Eyeglass World you usually spend way less. Also, the customer service is outstanding. When I walked in I was greeted by Brian and directed to where I check in for my eye appointment, Tresten checked me in and he was very friendly. Within in 10 minutes I was called into the pre test room where he took a pictures of my eyes did eye measurements and the eye puffer test. He did ask if I wanted to do an extensive eye test for $15, but I declined. Not long after I was put in the exam room and Dr. Yarnell came about 3 minutes later. She was really good. She walks you step by step on your exam and the findings. After the exam I went to look at glasses. I had a friend with to help me look at glasses and see which ones looked the best.
