    Dr. Huang was very pleasant and the office was efficiently run. I was seen on time and got everything done promptly. I know from visiting other offices, which run some extra routine tests. If you have concerns, you should specify if they will conduct certain screenings. However, I was satisfied as I primarily wanted a vision check-up. Located across the street from Macy's. Office is under renovation but they clean up nicely before patients arrive. If you buy glasses from this office, they have a huge backlog anywhere from two weeks to two months.

But my main issue is with one of the optometrists. When I asked to switch optimetrists a couple of years ago because Dr. B wasn't the most inviting guy, the receptionist said that I couldn't - I had to stay with the same guy - so I kept coming here since Elena is AMAZING! But, 3 different times I have told the doctor that that the contacts that he fit me for or glasses prescription did not work and hurt my eyes. His response each time was to get used to them. I have had glasses just sit in a drawer for years because they were a waste and I was told that I would have to pay for the lenses again. Last year I was given contacts to wear home. I told him that I couldn't see a thing - I couldn't even see/sign my receipt and he wanted me to drive home in these contacts! Thankfully Elena had me throw the contacts away and gave me my previous prescription back. I'm always told to get used to them and "that's what the computer says". This past December Dr. B gave me a new prescription for glasses. When I received them 2 weeks ago, I told the office that they hurt my eyes. Dr. B took be back to test me again. He told me that the prescription he gave me should work - I told him that I couldn't explain why, but my old prescription was still better and asked that my lenses be replaced with my existing prescription. I have been wearing my old glasses (which are great, but needed additional pairs). I received 1 of the 2 pairs of glasses back today and my old prescription was not given to me after requesting it. I have no reason to argue or not change my prescription. I have put up with this guy talking trash about the girls up front not updating info in the computer, the computer being too old, too slow or not working. This past visit he complained that "whoever worked on Saturday" doing something to the eye machine and that I could not put my face against it when doing my vision test. This guy complains EVERY time I'm there. I don't come to my eye appointments for prescriptions that don't work for me and to hear the optometrist complain about co-workers or equipment in the office. Again, Elena is the only reason I kept returning. I think it's time I changed offices, especially since I am not "allowed" to see Dr. Mascarena apparantly...

When we returned to the store, instead of taking responsibility, they tried to make us use the insurance we purchased--with a $125 deductible--even though this was clearly a manufacturer defect. They then sent us all the way to Oakley in Fashion Valley to handle the issue ourselves. After driving there, Oakley told us that LensCrafters should have handled the exchange in the first place. Only after Oakley contacted them did LensCrafters agree to replace the frames. When we went back, they said the frames were out of stock and would take 10 days. It's now been over 12 days, and they still have no idea when they'll arrive. Poor customer service, lack of accountability, and a very frustrating experience overall. I wouldn't recommend this location.

I am beyond satisfied to say that everyone at this store goes above and beyond to make my life easier. Excellent training for your staff, Isaac. They are caring, concerned, and receptive to my needs. I get my annual eye exam here and my prescription glasses. Isaac never disappoints. He has excellent customer service skills, is helpful and friendly, and genuinely cares. He has accommodated me on various occasions. He definitely wants to assist and make every customer's experience great. Lauryn helped me decide between a few frames that I wasn't sure about. She gave me her honest opinion on my new glasses and advised me on various options I could add before I made my final purchase. I want to make it known that Isaac and Lauryn were the best at this Otay Ranch mall location. Thank you for the fantastic experience for management and staff.     I'll begin by stating that I have been having issues with my left eye and vision has been getting…read moreblurry and my experience here was way better than at other places...No they don't always have an optometrist there every day that they're open. However you certainly can call to make an appointment for a day that there's an optometrist scheduled for the same price. I needed to desperately get a new prescription at an affordable price. The equipment that they have available to them is not to exam any further complications, in which case people should go visit specialists and not expect for locations like these to be able to give them a diagnosis. The optometrists are still kind enough to give you referrals depending on your situation. I was seen by Doctor Susan and she was absolutely amazing. She took her time with me in trying to find a prescription that would work with me. Considering my situation and how difficult it is for me to see, I cannot be more grateful for the knowledge she shared with me. I've previously gone to Eyeglass World on Broadway and that location is absolutely horrible- the doctor was very rushed, he refused to give me any glasses or my prescription even after I paid for the exam. Going from that experience, to the recent experience I just had at Stanton, is complete night and day. In a nutshell, don't expect to get a full diagnosis as these places aren't meant for that, schedule your exam over the phone to be seen with an actual doctor (it takes 2 minutes), and communicate if you're there for any promotions. Of course any "amenities" will cost extra, such as blue light glasses, thinner lenses, etc. Oh And don't go to Eyeglass World on Broadway

    ZERO: UPDATE: 1/21/2026 (Should've just gone to LensCrafters in the beginning)…read moreI went back in to have them replace the lens as the prescription was not right, and the doctor updated it. I dropped off my eyeglasses on 12/31/2025, and now it is 01/21/2026. I called to check if it's ready for pick up. They could not find my glasses at first and put me on hold for so long. Finally, they found it, but all they told me was that my eyeglasses are not ready because they didn't even send them out! The guy on the phone said he could refund me how much I paid and pick up my glasses. Are you seriously telling me that, after this whole time I waited for almost a month, just like what they've put me through last year. I thought they just made that ONE mistake. No, now this is the second time. My final conclusion about this place is that their staff really do not care. DO NOT try to make this mistake as I did, guys. STAY AWAY from this place. This place seriously needs to clean up its staff. UPDATED REVIEW: 12/11/2025: I received a call from their manager a few days after I posted the first review (see original review below) to resolve the eyeglasses issue, letting me know that the lab was still working on my eyeglasses and that they are located in Texas. I understand that location part and having no control over the lab's schedule, so I think that upper management or the CEO should be aware of their laboratory's mistakes and how long it would take to fix them. I know it is not the staff's fault here, so I am updating this review for them as I like getting my glasses at Stanton (my first experience with them was in Hanford, CA). My eyeglasses arrived yesterday, 12/10/2025, so it has been a long time since I ordered them on 11/6/2025. I received a call yesterday from one of their staff to let me know that my order is ready, and I asked for a discount because it took a while. The staff said the manager is the only person who can give the discount, so I went in today to pick up my eyeglasses and waited for the manager. The staff are still very nice and accommodating, although we know not all places are like that, especially since most places do not understand customers' frustrations and reactions to staff's mistakes. We know that most places would just give you an attitude and dismiss your concerns/issues. I believe the manager's name is Gerard, whom I saw today, apologized, and was going to give me half of the amount that I paid back. Because they are accommodating with no behavioral concerns, I asked for the amount of their military or veteran discount instead (since I did not get the discount when I ordered). Gerard gave me 15% (their military or veteran discount) and processed the discount to be returned to my account. How they do their job and their customer service skills really matter to me, regardless of where I go, and this is why I gave them 1 star at first, now 4 stars with an updated review, and told them they did not have to give me half off because I understand business. Thank you for changing my mind about wanting to go back to Stanton again. The definition of a good business is having employees like them who deserve to have this job, especially in healthcare. ORIGINAL REVIEW: 12/3/2025 I brought my prescription and my own eyeglasses frame here a month ago. I had my prescription done at another optometry where they accept my insurance, since Stanton doesn't take my insurance. This store called me 2 weeks ago only to tell me that they received my glasses, but the lenses don't fit in the frame. The staff told me she has to send it back, and I have to wait another 2 weeks. I told her I will be going on vacation in December, so I need the glasses as soon as possible, and she said she will expedite my glasses. I just called them and the customer service said I will be getting my glasses on December 12 I told him that's already more than a month, when it was not even my fault they got the lens size wrong and had to send it back ‍ He said there's nothing he could do. I'm not coming back here EVER again. This place does not do its job well.

I recently received a pair of prescription glasses, but unfortunately, the prescription was incorrect. I had to return them to be fixed, which was already inconvenient. What was more disappointing was that I was asked to pay additional fees for their mistake, and no apology was ever offered. Today, I received a text that my glasses were ready for pickup. I called to schedule a pickup, but the receptionist placed me on hold for 15 minutes, only to tell me that there were no available appointments and that I would need to wait another two days just to pick up my glasses. To make matters worse, the receptionist was very rude and ended the call abruptly without any courtesy. After being a long-time customer, this experience was extremely disappointing. I hope the management addresses both the service quality and customer care moving forward.
