    My glasses that they broke and took no responsibility for.

    I was once a regular customer at this location for years, but never returned after the frustration of my last visit. While I was there, the front desk staff offered to adjust the nose pads on my glasses, a common practice at most eyeworks locations. During the adjustment, they *broke*. At first, she apologized and assured me they would cover the repair at no cost, explaining that sometimes glasses can't handle the pressure. However, after almost a week of headaches without glasses, we received a text saying that Otay Ranch Eyeworks was not liable and that *we would have to pay the repair fee* that we were reassured would be covered. There was no prior mention or signage about customers being responsible for damage during adjustments, and it completely contradicted what was promised to me in person. Looking back, even before this incident, staff was constantly upselling on more expensive add-ons and frames. Since switching to Costco Optometry for my checkups, the difference in care, service, and affordability has been a breath of fresh air. DO NOT GO HERE! unless you want broken glasses and an expensive repair fee :/

    horrible quality lenses.

    you're better off going anywhere but here if ur looking for good quality long lasting lenses whether ur getting new frames or to replace your eye lenses. the first two pairs i got from here have horrible quality lenses. The first pair scratches so easily and the second pair of $350 glasses started peeling at the lens, its sort of a plastic film on the lens that's literally peeling away and i've only had them for ab less than 2 years. Lastly, the quoted me $400 to replace a pair of eye lenses, i get it they have to make their cut but that's just horrible, i went online and its $200 cheaper so i saved half the money and the lenses are amazing quality @replacement lenses express. IN CONCLUSION DO UR RESEARCH LOL there's many places that accept insurance besides here.

    I came here a few weeks ago to shop for my new pair of glasses. I was greeted right when I walked in, didn't seem to busy and I told the sales girl what I was looking for. She let me browse and asked what my budget was (I already knew they accepted my insurance). I enjoyed the selection of high end brands like Chanel, Prada, Coach, and Gucci. I tried on a few pairs and I never felt rushed, eventually I settled on a Prada gold tone metal frame. This was my first luxury eye glass purchase for myself and the process was made very easy and upfront by the sales girl. I recently picked them up and I've very satisfied with my experience there.

But my main issue is with one of the optometrists. When I asked to switch optimetrists a couple of years ago because Dr. B wasn't the most inviting guy, the receptionist said that I couldn't - I had to stay with the same guy - so I kept coming here since Elena is AMAZING! But, 3 different times I have told the doctor that that the contacts that he fit me for or glasses prescription did not work and hurt my eyes. His response each time was to get used to them. I have had glasses just sit in a drawer for years because they were a waste and I was told that I would have to pay for the lenses again. Last year I was given contacts to wear home. I told him that I couldn't see a thing - I couldn't even see/sign my receipt and he wanted me to drive home in these contacts! Thankfully Elena had me throw the contacts away and gave me my previous prescription back. I'm always told to get used to them and "that's what the computer says". This past December Dr. B gave me a new prescription for glasses. When I received them 2 weeks ago, I told the office that they hurt my eyes. Dr. B took be back to test me again. He told me that the prescription he gave me should work - I told him that I couldn't explain why, but my old prescription was still better and asked that my lenses be replaced with my existing prescription. I have been wearing my old glasses (which are great, but needed additional pairs). I received 1 of the 2 pairs of glasses back today and my old prescription was not given to me after requesting it. I have no reason to argue or not change my prescription. I have put up with this guy talking trash about the girls up front not updating info in the computer, the computer being too old, too slow or not working. This past visit he complained that "whoever worked on Saturday" doing something to the eye machine and that I could not put my face against it when doing my vision test. This guy complains EVERY time I'm there. I don't come to my eye appointments for prescriptions that don't work for me and to hear the optometrist complain about co-workers or equipment in the office. Again, Elena is the only reason I kept returning. I think it's time I changed offices, especially since I am not "allowed" to see Dr. Mascarena apparantly...

    Very disappointed with the service at LensCrafters in Otay Ranch Mall. My husband purchased a pair…read moreof smart glasses that turned out to be defective from the start. When we returned to the store, instead of taking responsibility, they tried to make us use the insurance we purchased--with a $125 deductible--even though this was clearly a manufacturer defect. They then sent us all the way to Oakley in Fashion Valley to handle the issue ourselves. After driving there, Oakley told us that LensCrafters should have handled the exchange in the first place. Only after Oakley contacted them did LensCrafters agree to replace the frames. When we went back, they said the frames were out of stock and would take 10 days. It's now been over 12 days, and they still have no idea when they'll arrive. Poor customer service, lack of accountability, and a very frustrating experience overall. I wouldn't recommend this location.

I am beyond satisfied to say that everyone at this store goes above and beyond to make my life easier. Excellent training for your staff, Isaac. They are caring, concerned, and receptive to my needs. I get my annual eye exam here and my prescription glasses. Isaac never disappoints. He has excellent customer service skills, is helpful and friendly, and genuinely cares. He has accommodated me on various occasions. He definitely wants to assist and make every customer's experience great. Lauryn helped me decide between a few frames that I wasn't sure about. She gave me her honest opinion on my new glasses and advised me on various options I could add before I made my final purchase. I want to make it known that Isaac and Lauryn were the best at this Otay Ranch mall location. Thank you for the fantastic experience for management and staff. I recently received a pair of prescription glasses, but unfortunately, the prescription was incorrect. I had to return them to be fixed, which was already inconvenient. What was more disappointing was that I was asked to pay additional fees for their mistake, and no apology was ever offered. Today, I received a text that my glasses were ready for pickup. I called to schedule a pickup, but the receptionist placed me on hold for 15 minutes, only to tell me that there were no available appointments and that I would need to wait another two days just to pick up my glasses. To make matters worse, the receptionist was very rude and ended the call abruptly without any courtesy. After being a long-time customer, this experience was extremely disappointing. I hope the management addresses both the service quality and customer care moving forward.
