I added a few scoops of chili oil, a squirt of hoisin, lime, and some basil. The Beef Vermicelli Bowl was very refreshing. Usually, this dish is served with fish sauce elsewhere, but here they use a soy sauce mixture they make themselves. My mom had never tried this version before and loved it! Both dishes were fillinggg we were stuffed to the max. The owner/head chef, Alina, came over to see how things were tasting and we were chatting it up a bit. She told us this is her second restaurant, first being in NYC. It's advertised on the menu that they don't use MSG. Their BBH also didn't have pork knuckle (giò heo) or pork blood (huyết). She makes cleaner versions of Vietnamese cuisine and serves everything fresh. After our meal, we had flan for dessert, in which we learned is also made in house! Perfect way to end our night.
