Solid choice to grab a sub. I needed a quick dinner and stopped by. The people are quick at the cashier and sandwich station. I waited no more than 5 minutes between ordering and getting my sandwich. Besides the fact I was charged for condiments I never received the chicken finger sub (large) was overcooked, dried out and lacked any flavor. Subs are very good but extremely small. Their large sub is the size of anyone else's small. Pizza is good.

Not sure how in store is but ordering take out is the way to go. I haven't tried their subs but fries are constantly crispy with each order. Their blue cheese dressing is nice and chunky with the right amount of funk. We usually get their Buffalo tenders. I love their eggplant pizzas. Basing my review off a grubhub order. I ordered the buffalo finger chicken plate because I thought it was most affordable with a side salad and fries. Delivery took about an hour from when order was placed. I have been going to Big A for as long as I can remember. When my family travels to the East coast we always work in a trip to the Big A. This trip we went twice! We had a couple of large tuna sub with onions and pickles which were delicious on the fresh braided sub roll, we also ordered a meatball/pasta plate that came with garlic bread. Growing up in the 90's this Sub shop was the sub to go. I remember my parents bringing subs home all the time and the subs were amazing. My mother would get a large eggplant plant. It would be stuffed with eggplant on a big breaded roll. Now fast forward to today. I no longer live in Malden and haven't been here in a decade. Was driving by late one night. Saw they were open till 11 and stopped by to pick up subs for myself and my wife. I got a steak and cheese sub. That's as basic as it gets. How you can mess that up is beyond me. I don't cook or have I ever worked in a restaurant but I know how to make a steak and cheese and I have ordered enough in my life to know what the expectations of one should be. The steak wasn't the worst but they just told the steak, put whole pieces of cheese in the middle and closed the roll. Mistake me if I'm wrong but I thing you actually have to mix he cheeee into the steak. You would take a bite and you would taste steak, then you would just get a giant brick of cheese with it as well. As bad as they come. Very disappointed. Not the same place, that's a shame. read more

I've only ordered delivery and every time I loved it. I've only ordered calzones and salads and they are always fantastic, I love the steak tip salad- really nice and you get a flatbread so you can make a little sandwich as well. The delivery is top notch, since I moved into this building lots of OTHER delivery people will leave the food wherever- like in the lobby, out on the street, in the mail room, I don't mind coming down but I hate the scavenger hunt.
