    DOZER Coffee
    Katy C.

I was on the hunt for a cool coffee shop to get some work done, and DOZER popped up on Yelp. It's located in a bit of an industrial area outside of downtown, but the space is nice with lots of outdoor tables and some seating inside. I found parking in back behind the building (their website has a map showing places you can park). I ordered an iced latte and sat outside since it was a beautiful sunny day. I appreciated that most of the outdoor tables had shade umbrellas. The patio is dog-friendly! They asked my name for my order (yay!!) and the latte was very good. They also serve food, which is a huge plus for me but I had already eaten. I'd definitely come back for their food menu sometime. The building also looked to include a bar and the whole complex also houses the HOMES Brewery and Smooj facilities. I think they do events here so it's a fun spot to check out. I'll be back!

    Espresso Tonic

This place was packed but the line moved quickly. Barrel aged espresso tonic is AMAZING, very unique, sweet, kinda boozy tasting, refreshing, and perfect for spring. There were a lot of people with laptops out, seemed like a cool place to chill. They also had a decent food menu but all I had was the espresso tonic. Thank me later!!!

Matcha late (big) with oat milk and honey cinnamon syrup

Best matcha in Ann Arbor, as far as I was able to find. Also, some good food options and a quiet place if you want to work there! I got the matcha (which is unsweetened - thank goodness) with the cinnamon & honey syrup. Very good! I also got the breakfast burrito, which was solid. Their bowls also looked very good. The baristas were very nice, and the vibes inside were chill.

Such a cute spot as part of the HOMES campus! The burrito bowl was yummy. Ordered a vanilla latte which was also good, although slightly pricey.

After a long time I enjoyed the coffee here (took the honey bee and brown sugar lattes, they were both good). The sandwiches on the other hand were ok, not a huge fan of them. Will definitely come back for the coffee.

    Love Island Latte

Although I love the atmosphere and working environment, the food and drinks weren't up to par as previous. The croissant was less light, buttery, and flakey and more malleable and bun-like. The latte lacked flavor and tasted more like hot foamed milk. I hope this isn't a running trend because this place is/was one of my favorites study spots.

Came here for a coffee when I was in town. Coffee was good and staff was friendly! Will be back again :)

This is in homes brewery! I love this place as it has good food and a cute brunch menu!! They sometimes have complementary donuts which are pretty good! The service is always friendly and I enjoy studying here! It is pretty spacious and lots of outlet! Overall I would defiantly come back! Right next to it is planet rock so it will be nice to climb then walk on over

    Mushroom Fondue Sandwich
    Linda I.

This review is just for their Mushroom Fondue sandwich. It is stellar! It's on their All Day Pre-Prepared Hot Sammie menu, but it presents hot and fresh. It's pan-roasted mushrooms, arugula pesto, and muenster cheese on house focaccia. Sounds similar but it was delicious. For vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike (I personally am not). Excellent focaccia! The pan roasted mushrooms were large and very savory. Arugula pesto bright green and tasty. Lots of warm, melty cheese. It is messy! So grab extra napkins. It looks on the smaller size but was pretty filling and kept me full for hours. Great environment too - indoor and outdoor seating options. Connected to HOMES Campus bar where you can get beers and other beverages.

Coffee is great I got ganache mocha latte ( recommended by my PT) The latte art is very pretty, the milk is very smooth, and blended well with the dark ganache chocolate bitterness l. I got it with oat milk. The shop is spacious with many seatings Plenty parking available too The staff are very nice The ambience is great comfortable modern lay-back, and the music is relaxing not overwhelming that you can still carry conversations or study/work Overall high ratings for the coffeeshop!

Blueberry muffin and an iced horchata latte on their outdoor patio table
    Chloe' H.

A cool local coffee shop on the HOMES campus. I loved the August special which is an iced horchata latte - it was refreshing and not too sweet. The blueberry muffin was fresh and the Corned Beef Hash sandwich I got last time was so savory and filling. They have ample seating outdoors and their indoor seating includes large wooden booths a few two top round table and two separate bar seating areas.

They don't have donuts every day but they advertise like they do. Coffee was fine, but not worth the price.

Unfortunately I missed out on the original location, but the new spot is easy enough to find and very comfortable, open, bright and sunny. It feels like walking into a family kitchen - smiling faces greet you, ask you how you are, tell you about the co-op and invite you to sit for breakfast - possibly with other patrons, since table sharing is totally normal there. The menu is small, but the selections are good ones. We had the cornmeal waffles, bread pudding (loved the crunchy top and didn't need any syrup at all), and some of today's greek specials. Everything was tasty (but not outstanding) and extremely fresh. I don't think I've ever appreciated feta so much! I also liked the basic but good quality coffee. Above all else, the atmosphere is what you go for. The buckets of freshly picked "try me" asparagus at the door, the ability to watch the chef and kitchen hands work, seeing all the volunteers collaborate, enjoying the company of other patrons - mixing, mingling, learning about Ann Arbor and making new friends. If you're into it, you'll be very into it. Note to bring cash - there are no "prices", but a $12-$15 donation is suggested, and completely reasonable.

Although Selma doesn't open until 9am, by the time we arrived at 9:08, the wait for our party of 3 was already at about 40 minutes. I'm not entirely sure if this is normal or if everyone else at school had the same idea so it was unusually busy. Once we got seated at 9:50, I ordered the strawberry bread pudding with roasted potatoes and bacon. One of my friends got huevos rancheros with chorizo sausage and the other got gluten-free waffles with fruit compote. While we really really wanted to like the place because of the concept and how much everyone else talks about this place, the food was really just very mediocre. Specifically, my bread pudding was extremely bland and runny and tasted like someone pre-chewed it...and I'm usually a huge fan of bread pudding! I ended up drowning my food in syrup to eat it but I guess people come here for the experience of community dining, not for a culinary treat. As for bacon, 1 piece was perfectly cooked and the other was too burnt to eat. So perhaps all food here is luck-based and I ended up with the super-soggy center of the bread pudding rather than better textured parts towards the edges?? Still, like I said, bucket list checked.

I said yes, as long as it wasn't too much trouble, I also mentioned that the kitchen may still be making my bacon as it didn't come out. He came back out with the waffle and the fruit on the side. The fruit still had powder sugar on it, and there was still juice from the fruit on the plate with tiny chunks of fruit. This just indicated to me that it went back to the kitchen and was picked off rather than being remade. My bacon later came out and was burnt to black. The waiter was nice enough to take it back and have it removed from the bill. Issue doesn't really seem to be the front of house, but the back of the house. It just seems like short cuts are taken.
