Oh, how I wish this place were closer to home. I have to drive at least an hour to get here, but some days it's worth it. The area is so spacious and conducive for a work date or even a solo coffee shop work trip. They have some high stools and several small tables near the counter, but if you want somewhere quieter, they have ample space with many seats and plugs. If the weather is good and you want to enjoy the sun, they also have lots of outdoor seating. Awesome for the summer. The food menu is usual breakfast and brunch items. I'm not a massive fan of the food items. The taste and presentation were great, but the portion size and price? Not so much, although not so bad when you're hungry between your studies or work. The drink menu is fantastic--some specialty lattes and seasonal drinks. The first time I came, they had this coffee with spirulina, giving it a cool blue color. I enjoyed those. This has become my go-to spot for an easy breakfast or beer-filled brunch. All of their burritos are really solid in both burrito and bowl form. My personal favorite is the Farmer's Burrito. I personally like their iced coffee a bit more than their hot coffee. The ambiance in the front is perfect for a chill coffee date, but the back is good if you're trying to do some work, and the outside during the summer can't be beat. The only thing we've gotten and didn't love was the Matcha Latte, but that's okay - plenty of other options. Food: 5/5 - For the price it can't be beat, top 2 breakfast burritos in Ann Arbor. Ambiance: 4/5 - I wish there was a bit more seating like the front because it fills up frequently. Service: 5/5 - Everyone is friendly, helpful, and I personally like cafe counters rather than actual sit downs. Such a hip vibe from the outside to inside! When you pull in the parking lot you can begin feeling the cool vibes with the bright green pillars and the old oil drum art installation in the front. There are plenty of spaces to park. The front, back and side all have parking areas. There is also a drive thru. Upon entering you can hear the hum of people chatting, others working remotely and the baristas hard at work fulfilling orders. The menu has something for everyone and is reasonably priced for the portions and quality. I tried the Australian Breakfast Toast. It includes avocado, tomato, grilled onions, toasted pepitas, egg and fresh greens. It was delicious! My husband enjoyed the Steak Frites burrito with beef, fried potatoes, egg, grilled onions, pepperjack cheese and peppercorn aioli. He said it was one of the best tasting breakfast burritos he'd ever had. He also had an Arbor Haze tea. I had a few sips and plan to order one next time. So good! The customer servixe was also fantastic. The staff were so friendly with our little one. While the cafe is strawless, one employee went above and beyond to find a paper straw for us when we realized we forgot our little one's sippy cup. Google Maps struggled to get me here and took me around the back of an auto shop and to the back parking lot instead of coming around the front, so I was confused at first. Neither the front nor back had much signage, so it would be nice if they added a bit so you know you are in the right place. They make their own tea instead of using a flavored syrup or mix like larger chains. The flavor will be a little different made this way too. I think it is delicious. More subtle and aromatic. I went around breakfast time and tried their donuts. The lemon blackberry had my name on it. There was candied lemon peel on the outside that was so good and a lemon glaze with thick blackberry filling. I couldn't eat the whole thing because it was so rich and intense. The donut was a little overfilled and it was hard to eat without making a mess, but it was still very good. I took some donut holes home for my husband, but they weren't on the same level. Starbucks is $6 for a 20oz same thing and it's better. Thanks to the employees here for making my first visit pretty spectacular. It won't be my last! I tried the honey dust latte which had the perfect level of sweetness and was super smooth. Had it been an appropriate meal time when I visited, I would have had one of of these in addition to my coffee. The customer service was outstanding. People were super friendly and did a great job of informing us about our options. The atmosphere here has just the right touch of A2 edge about it. The building is appointed with both a bar and a coffee shop with windowed garage doors affording indoor/outdoor space in the right weather. The open air experience in warmer weather will be delightful. Given that we're in the midst of winter, those doors were closed up tight. The outdoor fire pits hit were super welcome on a cold day. I just order the lox toast. I guess I should have read what comes on it. I used to buy their lox toast and it was more of an avocado toast with lox and a ranch or some sort of caper sauce. I donot like that the chairs and tables are all taking by students and I donot think they would leave in an hour, two or even 4 hours. So good luck setting in a nice chair. The food was okay.
