    Salami sandwich
    Emily M.

I was in Nashville for a wedding and my Uber driver told me I had to stop by Dozen Bakery! I was leaving to drive back to Ohio but wanted a small breakfast that would tide me over for the journey and also wanted to support a local business. I love bakeries and baked goods and Dozen Bakery was easy to get to and had parking, so the decision was an easy one about stopping in. I'm so glad I got the reccomendation! I love sweet stuff for breakfast and 99.99% of the time, I need breakfast food to start my day, even if I have an early lunch planned. My first meal has to have a breakfast item. However, while I did grab some pastries to enjoy and bring home to my family, the Salami Sandwich caught my eye and I knew it would be delicious. I was blown away about the quality and taste and that it got me to crave a lunch sandwich for breakfast! I brought home a cherry orange galette and poppyseed rugelach for my family and they were incredible! The flavors were unique. The service was quick. I had to wait in line maybe 10 minutes at most. My food and order was quickly given to me. I liked the vibe of Dozen Bakery. It was very spacious. Dozen Bakery is definitely at the top of my list for my next trip to Nashville!

I was so excited to find this bakery on Sunday! After doing some research, I ended up here and I must say, it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is really chill, especially with the option to sit outside. They were quite busy when I arrived, which is always a good sign. Everything from the bakery to the bread itself feels incredibly fresh. They also have a great selection of breakfast options. I tried the coffee cake, blueberry muffin, chocolate chip cookie, banana pudding pie, and the chocolate croissant. Each one was absolutely delicious, with just the right amount of sweetness. I also picked up a French baguette, which had a nice crisp crust and a dense interior. While I can't compare it to a traditional French baguette, I can definitely appreciate the freshness and quality of the bread here. Overall, this place is a solid choice for anyone looking for fresh, high-quality baked goods and a pleasant atmosphere.

This updated and fairly new location for Dozen Bakery is such a welcome sight when in the area! Situated in a small complex/shared building alongside Cyanide Cider, this Dozen Bakery is bright, welcoming, charming, cute...legit all the things! And even has a large patio in addition to a sprawling dining room! Oh, and they have counter seating with windows into the kitchen, so you get a front row seat to all the goods being made! I have popped by Dozen a handful of times and each visit is equally as great. The staff, including the owners, are always friendly, welcoming and helpful. While I usually stop by for a cold brew and baked good, they have a fairly expansive menu of all things breakfast and lunch, and even dessert. My go-to is always a cold brew with a few of their house made syrups alongside anything focaccia based...as the bread is sooooo good! Overall, Dozen Bakery is a great spot with true neighborhood coffee shop/bakery vibes. So happy to see their expansion and can't wait to see what the future holds for them - I'm here for it!

Dropped in before I flew out of Nashville at the suggestion of my brother and sister in law. ... LOVED IT! got the perri perri sandwich a chocolate chip cookie, a chocolate Madeleine and tried my sister in law's chicken salad sandwich.... OMG! The sandwiches were perfect.. right amount of heat (where applicable) , flavors perfectly balanced .. not overly sauce and not dry. This place is awesome!

Dozen Bakery lived up to the rave reviews for me! Great food, great sweets, great drinks, friendly employees, and a little play area on the patio. My weekend lunch experience was excellent. Parking was a bit tough, but some patience and circling paid off. There are spots in front and along the patio side. It's just a very popular spot so it fills quickly. It was a Saturday morning so a line to order was to be expected. The employees were doing their best to move through the line. There was a bit of a wait for food and drink, but I expected that when I saw how busy they were. It really wasn't a big deal because they have a little playhouse on the patio for kids! It's in a corner of the patio, far from the parking lot. I absolutely love that they have this for kids. The weekend brunch menu made it hard to choose just one item. It is unique and better than a typical brunch menu. The pricing was very reasonable for food and pastries. My Iced Orange Cuban was very good. They use Crema coffee which is always delicious. I liked the chocolate shavings on top to enhance the flavor. My daughter enjoyed her Chocolate Milk. We went with the option to have them add mocha to milk, but they have milk boxes too. The Cucumber Gazpacho was so wonderfully refreshing on a hot day. The flavors in this worked so well. The Summer Squash Sandwich had an interesting variety of ingredients that were flavorful. It had creamy burrata, grilled zucchini and squash, Calabrian chili vinaigrette, fried almonds, tomato almond pesto, and basil. I dream of enjoying this again! The focaccia was a good choice for this sandwich. A side of bacon wasn't very flavorful. We'd pass on that next time. The pastries and baked goods we had were excellent. The Chocolate Croissant was perfectly buttery and flaky. The Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookie was one of the best cookies I've ever had. The flavor was excellent. The Peanut Butter Cookie was also great. The Blueberry Muffin was good enough for my kids to fight over it. Dozen Bakery is one I will definitely visit again!

Came on a Saturday at 12:20 PM and there was a long line, but we had our sandwich and other goodies by 12:50. They were sold out of the famed focaccia egg sandwich (and the peach pie, key lime pie, special croissant etc) so will have to come early next time! I tried: + Iced coffee + Chicken salad sandwich + Lavender lemon pie + Chocolate chip pecan cookie + Rhubarb ginger bar + Corn and blueberry Madeline + oatmeal cranberry walnut cookie + Peanut butter cookie The sandwich was my absolute favorite thing - sooo good. Pie, chocolate chip pecan cookie and oatmeal cranberry cookie were also perfect. Rhubarb ginger bar was another standout. Prices are also really good - cookies are $2.50 and pie is $5!!

Dozen Bakery has always been a favorite, but their new expanded space takes it to the next level. The interior is light-filled and welcoming, and the huge patio is perfect for sunny mornings, catching up with friends, or getting some work done with a coffee in hand. The coffee is solid and consistent, and while the sweet pastries don't always stand out for me, the savory options are excellent. My usual hits: the ham & cheese croissant, savory scones, and the salami sandwich on baguette -- all thoughtfully made and full of flavor. Free parking, lots of indoor/outdoor seating, fast/friendly service! Definitely a spot I continue to go back to.

Pretty bare patio... really needs some umbrellas. The sun in warmer months is unbearable.

OK so the baked goods usually top notch from what I remember (even just a simple croissant or baguette), but I haven't been able to enjoy in a few years because now I have food sensitivities and cannot eat most of the menu. I do wish they'd have a a gluten free, nut free, dairy free option! It's doable.. I bake this way all the time. I usually come here for the matcha, it's very flavorful and delicate. I love that the new space has SO much more seating and a large patio. They had a kid play area for a bit that was fabulous. I do hope that makes a return as an employee said it might. Suggestion: the outdoor area really could use jazzing up. It's quite plain and as of now you're just sitting in a parking lot with no shade. Some more potted plants, umbrellas for tables, and a mural would do wonders. The hours are all over the place in this post-COVID Nashville coffee world. I don't get why so many shops have done this, and Dozen has adjusted their hours many times like others in the area. I thought their afternoon/early evening cocktail time was great. Not as much fun to hit up a coffee shop anymore. Le sigh.

Oh my goodness, saying I love this place would be an understatement. Their split baguettes are so simple but so delicious, and pairing them with jam is divine. The lemon lavender pie is my absolute favorite. I am so glad they recently opened in South Nashville. They bring so much to the community, not just through their food but also through the way they show up for people. The space is beautiful, and even when it gets busy, there are plenty of seating options both inside and outside. I really appreciate how involved they are in supporting the community and how open they are about their values. The staff is always warm and welcoming, and I love how well they explain the menu and offer helpful suggestions.

The croissants are exquisite, very close to a French experience as far as the flakiness and tenderness of the croissants. There's a long line but it goes quick and worth it! If you're eating there and taking some home do it in one go. It's busy, but in an industrial area so there's plenty of free parking. Coffee drinks are excellent. Order in the counter - and they bring you your order. There's outdoor area and a huge, airy indoor space. Service was courteous and efficient. And rightfully so- they have a great establishment!

Dozen is the best savory bakery in town. Their breads and pastries are fabulous, especially if you do not want anything too sweet. They serve Crema Coffee and their new location has lots of indoor seating. My favorite pastries are their Galettes (they typically have sweet and savory options) and their Ham and Cheese Croissant. Delicious! Their Lemon Lavender pie, though pricey, is one of the best pies you can buy in Nashville.

This is my second time visiting the new location on Grandview. Love: sea salt + olive oil foccacia (pre-ordered a pan); strawberry & cream pie (most delicious crust on this); spacious dining room & outdoor patio; Kind, thoughtful service; free parking Like: egg breakfast sandwich (I added bacon)

All these healthy people make me embarrassed as to what I've done to my body over the past 60+ years. My daughter says that it's never too late to turn it around. But like an oil tanker plowing through the ocean waves, that turn is going to take awhile. The first bend in that turn came in the form of Ginger tofu on a bed of kale and brown rice. Boy is that stuff ever good! Fresh, and if I'm at liberty to say, healthy. So I'll be crossing the threshold of Sunflower in the future. I'll get what my daughter had. Beats me as to what it was. She raved about it, so whatever she had, it'll be in front of me soon. Quick Tip: Look out for the cat.

The Sweet Potato Casserole was disappointingly bland. It lacked both flavor and sweetness, unfortunately. The Collard Greens were actually very good! From what I tasted at the cafe, these were the best. The cafe itself has a very welcoming aesthetic. There was a man who welcomed me as soon as I entered. He was very nice and helpful. There was a salt and pepper haired woman who had an extremely unpleasant and unwelcoming attitude. I even asked a question and she ignored me. So believe those reviewers who speak on this. There's a large covered patio in the front of the restaurant, regular inside seating, and a smaller uncovered patio in the rear. I was really hoping to have a better experience here. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things, but nothing made me want to give them another chance.
