Very cute spot! The pastries and bread are super fresh and you can taste the quality. There is limited seating downstairs, but the upstairs has more. The vibe upstairs is very home/cozy vibe - its moodier/darker lighting with max and match furniture. Its not a very large menu, and not all of the available pastries are displayed on the menu. Definitely great for a quick grab and go breakfast, they also have some premade snack boxes! read more

A western-origin chain bakery/cafe has made its way to Nashville, and I'm so glad it did. Perenn has tasty cookies and pastries and wholesome well baked breads. Part of an adaptive reuse of an old warehouse along Sidco Drive, the bakery is a welcoming comfortable place. You order at a counter (menus are at the door) and then find a place to sit. There is a big, derp cushioned couch but plenty of tables, unless it is one of those days that too many have decided to camp out and operate their home office rather than taking their coffee elsewhere. The breads and pastries top the coffees IMHO. The real standout is the ploughing lunch--great English cheddar cheese. Could add another slice of the bread, though. Avocado toast is also solid. Plenty of parking, always a plus in this area of Nashville read more

I was visiting the area for a week and came across this place when searching maps for a coffee spot nearby. What a lovely gem! It's in a place I wouldn't expect, but the whole interior just transforms. I visited here daily and enjoyed their specialty coffees. I got the Matcha Cloud and Americano Cloud (made with coconut water). Absolutely delicious on a hot summer morning - highly recommend both! The staff is friendly, attentive, and efficient, no notes. The pastries and refrigerated puddings are delicious as well. 10/10 recommend a visit if passing through the area, worth it! read more

When you hit the upstairs of the cafe, it feels like you've slipped into a quiet corner cafe somewhere in France. Perren keeps getting the details right. The quality of their pastries and drinks are consistently good and the space itself has such a calm, elevated ambiance that makes you want to slow down and stay for a while. My go to order is the herbs de Provence latte- the syrup is beautifully balanced with floral and slightly savory notes or the matcha cloud drink. The breakfast sandwich on a croissant and with caramelized onions is the perfect breakfast/brunch item. There is a distinctly European vibe here that I really appreciate, especially for Nashville. read more

I've been to this location a few times. Once on a weekday morning around 7am - good place to have a work meeting if it's early, it wasn't too crowded. I've been on the weekend for lunch - definitely still crowded but still not too bad. Today (Thurs) I stopped in around 10 and picked up an order I placed online. It was packed, the line was out the door. Super grateful for the online order ahead option. I ran in, grabbed my latte and sandwich and left. There's plenty of parking out front and a decent amount of seating right outside the restaurant & inside both upstairs and down. As I said, it stays busy but the service is reasonable - not too fast, not too slow. The ambiance is super cute, clean and just an overall good vibe. The coffee is good - I've only tried the lattes and it's priced about the same as other shops. The food is very good - I've had a few different sandwiches (very good), the kale salad (average), the chocolate chip cookie (amazing). I would say the food is priced on the expensive side. The sandwich I got today was $22. They have a fridge of items you can grab right when you walk in - this ideally could be fast except you may have to wait in the long line. The thing I do appreciate from the fridge is that they sell a tub of cookie dough. I bought this to make a cookie skillet at home for a birthday which was fantastic. read more

The staff was very stressed out and chaotic, which was our first impression when we walked in on a Friday morning. One of the poor ladies practically steamrolled me and my son as she sprinted back and forth from the counter to the door to hand menus to folks as they walked in. We love the one in Franklin and were excited to try this one out. The downstairs is a very cramped space with upstairs seating and a few patio tables. Unfortunately the service was so unfortunate, hence the lower stars. The pastries are always delicious, so no complaints there! read more

My new favorite bakery in Nashville! Perennial Bakery is wonderful. I love that they have a beautiful selection of freshly baked sweet and savory goods. And everything is reasonably priced. I ordered the bacon and cheese stuffed baguette, because I always lean savory. The delightful staff offered to warm it for me, letting me know it was much better warmed. So, of course I said yes! Well, my baguette was perfectly warmed in the oven. My baguette never came close to a microwave, and it came out perfect! The bread was warm and the cheese was bubbly. It was delicious and filling. The bakery itself is beautiful and clean, with windows to the kitchen and a large seating area upstairs. When you walk into the bakery, there is a case of fresh food on your left with a case of frozen food next to it. Toasts and pastries are in the glass case, and the breads and baguettes are directly behind the case. If you enjoy savory treats, I strongly suggest you ask what the "Stuffed Baguette of the Day" is. Then, order it and ask them to warm it for you. Yum! Their espresso machine is impressive. Next time I'll try a Cortado. read more

A friend recommended Perenn to me yesterday with such high praise I wasted no time heading that way to try it out. I loved walking in to be greeted by a team of bakers busily rolling and cutting dough. All the European feels came upon me!!! I purchased the Frozen cinnamon rolls to go, as my friend said there are none better, anywhere. I will be bringing them as a Christmas Eve hostess gift to my brother's house, so he can leave them out overnight and bake them fresh on Christmas Day. I also had one of their two salads of the day and I literally rejoiced!!! Amazing. A pearled couscous like base with chopped pecans, lemon peel, cranberries, red onion, salad greens and butternut squash. The flavors combined so perfectly that I smiled at my first bite! I love the authenticity of this darling bakery. And I love their clear passion for fresh real food! read more

All I do is think about the matcha cloud, haha! Seriously, that drink is top tier. This place is the best and I love it. The service is fantastic - the staff is so kind. I love the vibes upstairs. While they don't have full table service, they will bring your food/drink to the table. They also have a case of frozen items for you to take and bake. It is a little on the pricey side. It is something of a treat for me. While I wish it could be more frequent, I am not made of money. read more

I was so excited to try Perenn Bakery after seeing so many cute posts online and was ready for some European-luxury vibes. Our experience was good overall, but I left feeling a bit underwhelmed. The pastries were delicious, though in my opinion, slightly overpriced. A tip: take a moment to browse the menu before hopping in line, because the cashiers tend to move people through quickly. For me, the standout was the iced mocha--so good! The interior is cozy and definitely a vibe, perfect for studying or catching up with a friend. I loved that there's plenty of seating, including an upstairs area. read more

New bakery in the Berry hill area with a lot of customers lined up to get European themed foods/drinks. We had a collection of pastries all of which were fantastic. The Kough amann was one of the largest and heaviest pastries I've had as it was stuffed with creme brulee cream. Definitely similar tasting to the Italian/Spanish croissants we've had in Europe. Cappuccino also was great. Everything is pricy so just be ready to open up your wallet. Service was good and the interior was really nicely laid out. We will be back to try more soon! read more

I think this is a super cute vibe & I can understand why it's so popular! I think I will enjoy more when the lines aren't so long. I've heard of people going to just get their sourdough loaf to go which sounds appetizing. The Franklin location is really good. read more

I want to love this spot but they have got to figure out the WiFi! It hasn't worked the past 3 or so times I've come. The upstairs is a perfect working spot and it seems like they encourage it albeit the finicky WiFi. Love their drinks overall but will have to go elsewhere if they can't get the WiFi figured out read more

The baked goods were excellent. Everything made from their puff pastry was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft and airy in the inside. Just the way it should be! Their coffee is also very very good. We didn't have lunch there, but the food coming out looked so good and well presented. Waitstaff was also very good. The ambiance was vibrant and the deco was farmhouse comfy. Highly recommend read more

I'M OBSESSED!!! Try every single pastry. It is SOOOO GOOD. The service was great and I got my food pretty quickly. It's located in a random part of town but well worth the drive. My only complaint is upstairs there are no windows since you are more in a warehouse and I do wish it was a bit brighter in there. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend at least to try a pastry. read more

The quality of the bakery and cafe is top tier!! My only gripe is how EXPENSIVE everything is now when pastries and coffee were made to be daily staples for a quick snack and drink, now costs you premiere prices for something that doesn't seem sustainable for a daily run. $21 for a tuna salad? $19 for a kale salad? $8 for a vietnamese latte? Mind you, it's a quad shot so it has extra espresso but there isn't a cheaper option? Great staff, friend and knowledgeable. Also the seasonal flavors of the bakery items are always spot on and consistent. Will come here but everytime I come, you have to know you're spending some money here. They have some of the best coffee in town too. Hot and cold versions are quality. read more

An almond croissant with a herb de Provence latte is my go-to order here. I absolutely love both the baked goods and coffee here and the staff and ambiance are all wonderful. I'm a little generous with the 4 stars mostly because I'm pretty critical with croissants. Overall, the vibe is there, the staff is friendly, and the space is clean and super inviting. Love the space and atmosphere. Glad they're able to open a shop in Nashville. I tried the plain croissant ($5) and it was fine. The flake was there, but it was a bit dry for my taste and needed a bit more butter. I honestly do like the croissant from other French bakery near downtown better. Also, Perenn sells their almond croissant for $8.50, fyi, which I think is a bit excessive but to each their own. I haven't even come across an almond croissant in LA that sells for that much... read more

This is such an elegant bakery. You get rich classy vibes in side. Super clean and welcoming. The staff was able to help me pick out must try's and how I wanted my coffee made. But this has got to be on your list when you're in the area. read more

I don't know if I've ever had a croissant as good as Perenn's, even in France!! The breakfast sandwich is easily the #1 must try item on the menu. It's really nice that you can watch them baking the crossiants while you wait in line to order. Pricing per pastry is expensive compared to other pastry shops in the area, but it makes sense given they do mill their own flour (which is also sold in store). The iced vanilla latte has become one of my favorite lattes in Nashville, it's real vanilla that they use, no fake syrups. This location doesn't do full sit down service, so it feels like a coffee shop compared to the Franklin location. Get there early before things sell out if there's something specific you want to try, the lines are still long as it hasn't been open for long. read more

Vibe is 10/10 and the pastries are xoxo. The prices are a ~little~ much haha. Great place to meet friends or take family who is visiting.

Delicious pastries and coffee and an interesting decor to hang in. I enjoyed looking down on the working bakery from above.

Excellent bakery items. Danish and cookies are my favs. The croissant cookies are unbelievably good!

Love the ambiance. The croissants are very good. Their WiFi never seems to work unfortunately:(

Stopped in on a slow Tuesday afternoon to avoid the lines. Best baguette I've had since Paris. The kougin Amman was also top notch. If they have the bacon and cheese stuffed mini baguettes with everything bagel seasoning available when you go, get two; they are that good. They have a small fresh made sandwich/breakfast menu, and a fridge full of "grabs and go" Sammies. Highly recommended for baked goods! read more

Food was good, but a bit overpriced. I had the crispy brunch potatoes because I'm gluten free and they only had a few gf options on their menu. I'm more of a cooked egg person. They only do poached and souffle, and the souffle was perfect with the potatoes, definitely cooked. The cream on the dish was a bit heavy, but what you would expect from bakery style food. The matcha latte was good, standard. Overall, solid dining experience, just a wee bit on the pricey side for what you're getting. I do like that they are not a chain and run by actual people, so I appreciate that it's a hard and expensive world out there, and would go back again. P.S. The woman in front of me was stocking up on at least 6 containers of their refridgerated cookie dough, so maybe that's one of the highlights? Being gluten free I'll never know, but maybe you should try it if you have the time! read more

Visited on a Sunday morning and it was packed. Coffee was fine, but the tea was a mess - they clearly don't know how to serve it. Staff felt awkward and a bit scoffing which was odd. The ham and cheese croissant was good. The Brie and fig grilled cheese, however, was extremely greasy. The ham and Parmesan baguette was not edible - it was so tough that in Europe it would be treated as bird feed, not given to people. Overall, quite disappointed. A couple of decent items, but between the service and the food quality, it wasn't worth it at all. read more

Damn good French pastries. The place is a little small at the front, but they do have room in a balcony area. If you see a line, it shouldn't take too long to make it through. Located off Armory Drive exit, this cute little bakery is such a vibe on a Saturday with close friends. Let me tell you how to navigate the situation... We arrived promptly at 9:30am to have a hostess handout menus that we can peruse while waiting "to get in the door". When let in, you stand in line to put in your order which you've already decided upon while waiting. It became very clear that it's a "first come first serve" with seating and it gets dicey. There is a gorgeous upstairs loft with 8 tables and numerous chairs. The benefit to this is so you can view the bustling fully operating bakery below. It's a French bistro format of seating, so be aware you will be overheard and you will overhear interesting conversations. We lucked out and shared a massive table with two other parties in a cozy corner. The overall effect was a moody, classic space with warm wooden beams and beautiful windows. I recommend finding a table in the loft if you can. The service was effective without being overwhelming, and we never felt hurried or rushed which is exactly why this bakery is so special. Our food choices were a bevy of different croissants from savory to sweet, but the salted caramel apple croissant was the ultimate winner. Tip: go early and as one of you places the order, let the other search for a table. Divide and conquer will result in a nice breakfast in Berry Hill. read more

Ok the quality is really good. The pastries are fresh. It's cool to watch the bakers at work but what the heck...I felt like I was literally taken advantage of with the prices. My favorite pastries that we tried were the raspberry and cheese danish and the classic croissant. The baguette was also classic and delicious. The almond croissant wasn't my fav but $8.50...for a croissant?! Not even with the best quality ingredients does that price make sense! The icing on the cinnamon roll croissant had a strange taste to me but that's just preference. The cloud matcha was delicious but also $8.75!! The cold brew was muddy and over brewed. I think a dark roast is too much for a cold brew. Ambience was cool. Staff was great. But idk, probably won't go back. With those prices it feels like they only want the rich to come back. read more

The food and definitely the service could be improved. Felt ignored had to clean off my own table, and the food was average.

Cool place with a unique vibe. Service was fast and everyone was nice. Food was decent but a bit overpriced in my opinion. I'd say you're paying for the vibe more than good food. Baked goods are good but $22 for a single person sandwich is a bit much. read more

Food and atmosphere was great however they need to have a lunch spot for diners upstairs where people aren't taking up hours on and on their computers with a Coffee. It's very annoying trying to get a table while holding glass plate plates.. I'd say if you're going to make it a restaurant have a dedicated place for diners and a dedicate place for people working maybe add more seats downstairs for them or outside at the end of the day is going to take away business for people sitting in seats for hours read more
