We enjoyed DOG on a beautiful April evening outside under the umbrellas. Food was delicious, and the service was perfect!

Down on Grayson is a cool spot. The vibe seems to be trendy for the area. They offer a few TVs in the bar area of you're looking to post up for a bite to eat and a little something to eat. It's a small menu that features sandwiches and salads but does offer entrees such as steak and chicken dishes. For the items that are offered on the menu; they all seem basic but yet are pricey. They have some of the best onion rings and roasted Brussels sprouts that I've had in SATX Service was pretty good for what seemed to be a busy evening.

Nice to sit outside in March, but i door tables available. Comfy lighting and tables. Good music. Attentive staff. Not too loud to talk, but loud enough to bring the kids. Parking lot in front. Good food. Nice large wedge salad. And grouper in San Antonio! All dishes well prepared, all happy with their meal. Recommend.

Nice bar by the pearl, but pricy for what you get. We ordered the beer and margaritas for our drinks. This place is busy on weekends. The steak was good cut size, the French style burger was dry when it came out. The server was good to ask about allergies. You do have to pay to park at this restaurant.

Their sliders are delicious and were cooked medium just as we had ordered. I have never had a bad meal here, always perfect

What a great experience Caitlin our server was great We had an outdoor table. It was so nice for a change to be at a casual formal restaurant where the music wasnt too loud to even chat. It was perfect. Cozy calm music ...and such a calm outdoor setting The food was really good too. The only complaint we had is that the bun on the fish sandwich was not good. Carrot cake and the prickly pear nojito was so good Another good thing is they validate your parking which is a great thing at the pearl district

One of the best places for outdoor dining in San Antonio! We came on a sunny & hot evening with our pup and we were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the patio was. There was plenty of shade, misters, and it was so clean and well-manicured. We started with the parmesan fries which were such a treat. For my entree, I ordered the Caesar salad with crispy chicken. It was fresh and delicious, and the Parmesan crisp was an elevated alternative to croutons. I ordered an aperol spritz to drink and it was made perfectly. Definitely recommend!

We ate here a couple of times. Food is ok but their appetizers and drinks are very good. Slightly pricey and sometimes you have to ask if what the server is suggesting is an add on or included. Got surprised one time with 7 add ons. . Learnt the hard way. Service could be slow depending on how busy the place is. Have to make a reservation if you want to get seated quickly. Lot of outdoor seating and parking is right next to it.

Panini

The place was clean, dim lit, and aesthetically pleasing. I really enjoyed the vibe. I always enjoy mocktails being on menus and I was excited to try the strawberry basil smash and it was delicious! The panini was good, although not my preferred cup of tea but I can tell it was a good mix of flavors. We also had Brussels sprouts (not pictured) that were delicious! My friend had the frozen Rita and it wasn't her favorite. Overall I would try this place again.

No follow up, never resolved. I was asked to send an email with detail, which I did and there was not response.

I only ate the onion rings, but my friends' lunches looked good and they enjoyed them. I had the cranberry lemonade, which is my new favorite: the tartness of the cranberry makes the lemonade less sugary.

Tristan provided excellent service and knew the menu like the back of his hand. The wine and steak paring was a great choice however the medium steak was really chewy.

Great vibes inside but the food was basic. Got the marinated steak kabobs and it was over seasoned and extremely salty.

Was a little disappointed in the food. The salad was soggy and drenched in dressing. We had the chopped sirloin, it was just on.

Does anyone know if their strawberry cake is made in-house, or if they sell the full cake?

I know! The vendor is "The Ultimate Cheesecake Bakery"-- they are a commercial bakery up near the Thousand Oaks/Wetmore area. They sell their cakes to several local places; notably you can get the same exact strawberry cake but in a smaller slice at… Read more

Do they take reservations?

No u fortunately so go early for lunch at 11am or you may have up to an hour wait

Is there a wait?

Like with any place there is going to be a wait in the evenings or on the weekends. If going for lunch during a week day there is typically no wait.

Any keto friendly eats here?

They have items that are or can be made to be kept friendly. There are a lot of protein items on the menu that you can get with substitute sides.

Beer, wine and pizza...what's not to love about The Growler Exchange?…read more For those of you who have never been to this amazing business before, The Growler Exchange is a tap room and restaurant which carries a huge variety of unique beers, as well as some of the most delicious pizza you've ever had in your life. I've been a regular at this restaurant for 5 years and I can tell you that quality has stayed the same throughout the years. I also appreciate that they now have a bigger variety of wines and you can also buy beer and wine to-go. If you are looking to try their amazing pizza, their most popular pie (and my husband's favorite) is their Mike's Special which is a red sauce pizza with mozzarella, pepperoni, bacon and topped with honey drizzle. However, if you prefer something spicy (like I do), I highly recommend their Spicy Meat Sweats which is also a red sauce pizza with mozzarella, garlic sausage, pepperoni, salami, bacon and topped with some very spicy chili oil. Hope everyone gets to try this amazing local business, and don't forget to bring your growler with you! PSA for the parents: They do welcome kids, and they even have a changing station in the women's bathroom.

I know it and I…read morewas super excited to see Slow Ride come up as an option for me and my sister to pop in and catch up over some drinks. Parking along the street is free (along the fence line of Sam Houston) and was not an issue even for a holiday. There is a paid parking lot that is secure and available too so note that if ever you have an issue finding a good spot. Walking into Slow Ride is like walking into your tio's (uncle) or a grandpa's cool, 70's/80;s vibey, and home-y bar. This is the kind of spot where every picture you take of yourself, or your friends, will look like you took it in the 80's! This is not a bad thing either. Seriously. It IS A VIBE here! Cushy seats at the bar was my favorite spot to hang out while we had some cold beers and a shot to go alongside it too. They have beer and shot combos here around $8. You get plenty of choices on beer and liquor of choice. I opted for a tallboy Lonestar and a small shot of the Mexican Candy. My sister got a Live Oak Hefe in a can (she likes Blue Moon so this was the closest thing to it and she liked it!) and later a Shiner in a bottle. I also decided to close out with a daiquiri that was super delicious and offered in nice glassware. Patio out in the back is spacious and a great spot to hang out with a group of friends. The back space is taken care of and has a modern look to it out there. I can see it being a nice vibe outside on a pretty day too. Jukebox is legit! All great music selections from all genres on CDs and pretty cheap too to play 5-8 songs. The artwork around here is worth a look around too. I love all the unique Garfield toys surrounding the bar area too. All of the back bar is so great with the wooden shelving and lighting too. You can see many honorable nods to those who currently or have served. It's a great thing to see especially so close to Sam Houston. One thing I have a pet peeve on is any service bar who has to keep my card on file. I am the worst person who won't remember so I have to be extra careful when bars keep my card. I usually walk and don't mind paying the 20+% tab walk fee but I do want my card back so I have to get everyone who is with me to remind me to go get it. That's why I am giving it 4 stars. I am looking forward to coming back in the future and bringing some more family and friends, though. This spot is so nostalgic and their social is super active and will promote DJs and sets happening that week and into the weekend. Go check them out and play some pool. You're gonna feel like you are in a Matthew McConaughey movie when you do. Tell me I am wrong!!!

Service was prompt, and the ambiance is a funky cross between a bakery and a diner. Parking is easy in their private lot. I first tried their 'Texas Style' pastrami Reuben sandwich. This is smoked pastrami brisket, served with on their house-made marbled rye and topped with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and garlic aioli. Quite a bit different than a NYC-style sandwich. The aioli instead of dressing, thicker slices, etc etc. But wow, did it taste good. It's as if a pastrami Reuben and a sliced smoked brisket sandwich had a love child who inherited the best from each parent. I also tried their salmon gravlax on an 'everything' bagel. This bagel was baked in-house, topped with the cured salmon, cream cheese, tomato, red onion, capers, and a sprig of dill. Rustic, beautiful, and delicious. Definite recommend! This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. I think the reason I didnt "love" the pizza is because its so different with the sourdough base and not what i am used to. I would like to return and try a sandwich or something else on the menu. Service was fast and friendly, and the place was clean and welcoming. My main reason for trying out wild barley was because they have sour beers, it wasnt the best sour beer i have ever had, but i have noticed in Texas the sour beers have a strange taste to them that i cant quite put my finger on. Overall though it was refreshing and cold. my husband really enjoyed the cider. We will be back and i hope after trying something different on the menu to change my review to 5 stars,
