I understand that first visits can take up to 90 minutes but this was excessive. Also, everyone was sick, even if they had face masks on, it felt risky being that close to the dentist and his assistant while they cleaned my teeth. My cleaning was painful and even weeks later, my teeth are really sensitive. The receptionist was doing her best. The lady who does billing did okay, but what I was billed for seemed to not match the services I received. And the peer pressure I was given about getting their specific mouth guard made me have to be stern with the dentists. Overall, not happy and will not go back.

They got me in for an emergency appointment and from the second I walked through the door I was treated absolutely the best. The hygienist or dental assistant was welcoming, sat with me and listened to all of my concerns. Made sure I was comfortable. The Dr. (super funny btw) Had an amazing bedside manner. Explained my options in detail, and went very slow (which was amazing because I am used to dentists just getting in there and causing extreme pain.) I had an extraction of a back molar that was infected and an abcess that was causing me causing extreme pain, ... during the procedure... honestly I felt nothing. I mean nothing! It had been a while and I didn't have a dentist because I had recently ( at the time) moved here. The staff was great, made me feel welcome and Dr. Catron cleaned my teeth while chit chatting and never once made me feel bad or uncomfortable. In fact he complimented my teeth and overall it was a great experience. Once I finally got dental insurance, I decided to come back a few years later-since I had already been here. The hygienist, made me feel absolutely awful. She was friendly at first, but while cleaning my teeth, she seemed very uncomfortable and nervous. She used the word Tenacious about 4 times. I hadn't had a cleaning in a few years and I get that, but Dr. Catron never made me feel like this. I wish I could remember her name, but I hope she remembers the word Tenacious if she ever reads this. A different dentist popped in, took a look cause she was obviously nervous or overwhelmed, and he was almost so non chalant that it turned into such a strange experience. I got outta there with no cavities and heavily considering a deep cleaning but certainly won't be getting it there. I felt so bad after I left, I was super bummed the rest of the day and was shocked at the day vs night two experiences. Took me a few months to write this review, but I want them to know that it takes a lot for me to write a negative review and a thought out review like this but it was totally uncalled for the way she treated me. I'm a very kind person, and it's not ok for a so called professional to make me feel like that. Toward the end of last year Dr. Larsen found a large cavity in one of my wisdom teeth, which he filled early 2023. I asked about pulling the tooth but he said a filling would be fine. For many weeks afterwards the filling rubbed and cut on my cheek and I could still feel the pain of the cavity, so I knew the filling was not done properly or completely. I decided to get a second opinion from another local dentist, who said the tooth should have been pulled because the cavity was so large. Pulling the tooth took care of the pain, of course. I went back to this dentist for an oral evaluation, and she found "advanced periodontal disease." I was pretty shocked hearing that, after being told by Dr. Larsen for many years that my gums were fine. I looked up the new dentist's records and reviews, which were all stellar 5 star across many platforms. And, what she said rang true, when she told me one obvious symptom of periodontal disease was bleeding, which I do experience. I am very disappointed in Dr. Larsen for not informing me of this problem earlier.

Most of the time people dread going to the dentist me included. However I look forward to my appointments because I know that he's going to do a good job working on my teeth. Even when he uses numbing agents in my mouth, the only part that's numb is the tooth that he's working on. I never have to worry about my whole mouth being numb for the rest of the day after going to the dentist. I've never experienced that ever going to a dentist office. The energy in that office is wonderful. They have awesome customer service here, they really care about their patients. On my first visit he explain things to me that most people should already know about their teeth but don't, basic stuff that they probably learn in dental school that most of us don't know. Something even as small as how to floss my teeth properly. I feel that I'm in good hands. I hope that he will be my dentist as long as his business is around which I am sure are many years to come. Unfortunately, my experience with the office receptionist, Jay, was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. When I called, Jay was initially very informative, answering all my questions regarding insurance, the types of fillings used, and how payments would be handled--an important factor for me since the cost of my treatment would use up my entire insurance allowance for the year. After our conversation, I felt reassured enough to move forward with scheduling an appointment. However, I was informed that the office requires a 25% deposit to schedule, with payment in full required on the day of the procedure. Since the total cost was around $2,000, I asked if they would be willing to offer a payment plan for the remaining balance after the deposit. Jay immediately said no, which I understood, and I politely explained that I would need to find an office that could accommodate a payment plan. At this point, Jay snickered and told me she felt like I had just wasted her time. Shocked by her response, I asked if she thought it was unreasonable for a patient to inquire about a surgical procedure and insurance coverage before committing. Instead of addressing my concern professionally, she raised her voice and told me it was, in fact, a waste of time--adding that there was already a note in my file stating I was "going somewhere else." The only reason I had requested my X-rays was to obtain an additional quote, which is a completely reasonable and responsible step for a patient. Jay continued to talk over me as I attempted to clarify, forcing me to confirm her name and let her know that her behavior was incredibly unprofessional. If this is the treatment a potential patient receives from the front desk, it raises serious concerns about the professionalism and patient care within the rest of the office. Is this type of behavior accepted or even fostered by the practice? It was a huge red flag and left me with zero confidence in trusting this office with my dental care. Patients deserve to be treated with respect, especially when making important healthcare decisions. I would strongly advise anyone considering this office to be cautious and ensure they feel comfortable with the level of professionalism before proceeding.
