There was no pain after local anesthetic wore off, and no pain when using tooth. Xray in 9 months will determine if bone has grown back into area that was infected. Also, everyone was sick, even if they had face masks on, it felt risky being that close to the dentist and his assistant while they cleaned my teeth. My cleaning was painful and even weeks later, my teeth are really sensitive. The receptionist was doing her best. The lady who does billing did okay, but what I was billed for seemed to not match the services I received. And the peer pressure I was given about getting their specific mouth guard made me have to be stern with the dentists. Overall, not happy and will not go back.

Due to the last-minute need, I was scheduled with a new dentist to the practice, Dr John Ramirez. All staff members I interacted with including the front desk staff, the young woman who took my x-rays, Dr Ramirez, Dr Stout and a different tech who took my post-procedure x-rays were all very polite and professional. Dr Ramirez conducted an exam and explained to me the options for a crown replacement. Before proceeding, a staff member came in and showed me what the costs would be (before and after insurance coverage) for the two options I had available. I opted for the Cerec crown which is made in the office and placed the same day. Dr Ramirez was very thorough in his explanation, made sure I was comfortable with the procedure and ensured that the final placement was a great fit. The technology available at this practice is impressive. I appreciate the option to complete the patient questionnaire electronically prior to the visit, the digital x-rays are much better than what I've experienced at other offices and the in-house Cerec crown option was great. While my appointment took about 3 1/2 hours, there was no need for a temporary crown and a follow up appointment to place a permanent crown. While I was waiting for the crown to be made, I mentioned that I had an implant that was a bit loose. Dr Stout was able to come in, between his other patients to check it out and get it tightened up. With each visit I've been very impressed by the efficiency of the techs and assistants. They are very good at what they do and are also very personable. This visit ended with a quick checkout at the front desk - easy payment and next routine appointment scheduled.

He chooses different foods for snacks, makes sure we brushes correctly and asks for help flossing. He had to get his first filling and they made him feel so comfortable, he did amazing! I truly believe that having a great dentist this young can form how you view dental hygiene and dental visits for the rest of your life and I am very glad to have found Dr Ziese and her staff!

The personal touch, friendly staff and professionalism was so welcoming. Dr Ziese is great, the staff is great. Gentle and informative to every thing they do. The cost is very reasonable compared to our last dentist. Wish we would have found her sooner. They recently moved from Diamond Springs to a bigger, nicer and more modern office in Placerville but the same kind, courteous and friendly professionalism remains. He was extremely impatient at addressing my questions and concerns. I was facing 3 root canals under existing front tooth crowns so I had some concerns. He cut me off at each question I asked and became increasingly angry and responded to each in an angry, raised voice. I abruptly asked him why he was being so rude and yelling at me? I told him, this is no way to speak to your patients, at which point he became even angrier. He screamed and raised his hand as if to strike me. I immediately got up to leave. He continued screaming at me as he followed me to the waiting room. 2 staff members witnessed this abuse and literally blocked him from advancing any closer to me. They looked as terrified of him as I was. This man has extreme anger issues and should in NO WAY be entrusted with patient care. My very next step is a formal complaint to the dental board, and to my attorney. Please find yourself another Dentist.

We've had a decent experience with dental care at the EDH Make-a-Smile location. We were then…read morereferred for an orthodontist consult at the Placerville location. When we arrived only scans were taken and no consult actually took place. We then waited over a week for a call to be scheduled for the actual consult, then were rescheduled and rescheduled again, then made to go to EDH for an x-ray that should have been done already, then back to Placerville for the orthodontist. After all the run around, once we were at the Placerville location we were appalled at the state of the place. The bathroom was filthy, with a layer of grime on everything, and smelled like stale pee. The waiting room floor looks like it hasn't been cleaned, maybe ever... there were literal bugs crawling on the floor. The few old sad toys in the waiting room are also dirty. Ultimately we decided to leave and will be taking our referral and X-ray to another office. We let the staff know why we were leaving, they were hardly apologetic. I called "solution management" to make a complaint, they didn't seem to care either.
