We were quickly seated by the owner (I think), and the waiter was quick and attentive. The temperature was perfect, especially considering the horribly hot Northeast summer of 2025. As for the food, first I have to say that the prices were absolutely fantastic for the quality and taste we experienced. Especially considering the current economy and constant price hikes of 2024-25. So I ordered the Greek Salad Wrap and my partner got the Time to Eat Special with a Greek Salad and Fries. Everything was delicious! Fries - perfectly cooked diner fries with a side of home made honey mustard - fantastic! Greek Chicken Wrap - beautifully marinated with really good tzatziki. I actually got 2 extra cups of it to dip my wrap in. In short, we would both come back again when in the area. And the total was about $45 after tax and tip! Unreal in all the best ways!

I also had another chicken noodle soup, which was very good like my previous review. The cobb salad had romaine, bacon, avocado, hardboiled egg, tomato, red onion, grilled chicken, and bleu cheese dressing. This was a traditional cobb salad done right. The bleu cheese dressing looked a little odd but tasted okay so not a concern like I thought initially possibly. The salad as a whole appeared fresh and there was plenty of all the ingredients which I always find to be key. It was also a decent size portion like my previous ones ordered.

As a…read morefellow small business owner, I couldn't help but feel that they had been judged more harshly than they deserved. I know firsthand how damaging online reviews can be--especially when they're written by people who may not have experienced the business fairly or are frustrated over unrelated issues. I recently had the opportunity to work with Janet and her team to help develop a bar menu and train members of the staff. From the moment I arrived until the time I left, everyone was welcoming, professional, and genuinely appreciative. The entire staff was eager to learn, worked hard, and created a great atmosphere throughout the training. Afterward, they kindly treated me to lunch, and I can honestly say the food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, delicious, and served with the same hospitality they showed me all day. My experience at Sterling House Diner was nothing short of excellent. I believe businesses should be judged by real experiences, and mine was outstanding. I highly recommend stopping in, enjoying a meal, and supporting a local business that clearly cares about its customers and its staff.

Food served in a timely manner and they were able to bring out a sausage immediately when I told them I wanted it to feed my very hungry toddler. -side of sausage: comes with 2 pudgy links. decent flavor. -mexican chicken sandwich: described as coming with onions and jalapenos and I was surprised to find they come raw! Def did not expect them to be added raw in a hot sandwich. Also, though the chicken had nice charred taste, it was very bland and really needed at least a sprinkle of salt. -philly cheesesteak: had mushrooms which was nice. meat could have been better flavored. Overall, an okay choice.

So this place came up in my search so I decided to try it. The place looks abandoned from the outside but pretty decent inside. I ordered breakfast so it's really hard to judge. The French Toast I ordered was good.. They didn't mess that up. My wife who was with me ordered Steak and Eggs. I'm glad I didn't get ambitious. It didn't look good. She ate most of it so that's the reason for the 3 stars. I've never had great food at a diner. Suggestions are welcomed.

It had way too much lettuce and tomato, and the bacon was almost burnt. For the price, I expected a much better balance of ingredients and overall quality. What really left a bad impression was when I came to pick up my order. The gentleman who handed me my food asked if I wanted to leave a tip for the person who prepared it. I found that extremely rude, especially since I had already been given the option to tip when I signed the receipt. It felt like I was being put on the spot. I wasn't dining in or receiving table service--I was simply picking up my order. Based on the reviews, I was excited to give this place a try, but I wouldn't return. There was nothing particularly special about the food, and it felt more like a place that overcharges than one that delivers value for the price.

Unfortunately, that was where the positive experience ended. No one offered a high chair for my 11-month-old, and after ordering our drinks, we waited about 10-15 minutes before anyone came back to our table. We were there for nearly 30 minutes in total. Our waitress returned twice, and each time we were told she would be back, but we still never received our drinks or a high chair. Eventually, we got up and left. What was most disappointing was that not a single employee acknowledged us or attempted to stop us as we walked out. We felt completely overlooked. This also wasn't our first poor experience. About two weeks ago, my son politely asked a waiter three separate times for something. After repeatedly forgetting, the waiter responded, "Hey, I'm really busy, man." That's not an appropriate way to speak to a customer--especially a child. A simple, "I'm sorry, I forgot. I'll bring it right over," would have been the professional response. Waiting tables means providing customer service, even when you're busy. I completely understand having to wait when a restaurant is busy. However, waiting nearly 30 minutes without receiving so much as a drink, while also never being offered a high chair for an infant, is unacceptable. Sadly, based on these experiences, we'll be taking our business elsewhere.

I have yet to have a bad meal here, and I know you won't be disappointed as well.
