Although the doughnuts are good, they have too many rules to follow to know what you're actually buying or what you're getting when you walk in, they have a sign that says one thing on the counter, they have a sign that says another thing on the window to the donuts, they have another sign and on the other window, they have another sign. I have frequently visited this establishment for the past couple of years as the doughnuts are exceptional and the in the past customer service was adequate but the past couple of weeks they have an employee who's interaction with myself and the public is unacceptable and is beyond rude as she doesn't know the meaning of being hospitable and profesional when it comes to being exposed to the public. This employee has caused me to look for other business establishments which provide a better customer service to its clientele as it's unfortunate as positive customer services causes a business to prosper and become successful. I asked if they were still going to charge me for a doughnut box $2. They were charging me this because I ordered 31/2 dz. doughnuts n they wanted to put my 6 in a bag. I asked if can place in box originally (just 1 of many errors). Didn't want my coworkers to pull out of bag n then touching the rest plus its easier. This place has some good donuts. A little bit difficult to understand when ordering. The neighborhood is slightly sketchy for us. But overall it is so with it for these donuts. They are soft and moist and not at all greasy! They melt in your mouth Our favorites are the maple bar and all the cinnamon ones. Even later in the day they usually still have good selection. I used to go here when it was New York Donuts. Haven't been here since and thought I'd try it. I looked up at the menu board and it showed a dozen donuts for $13 and extra for fancy. She kept ringing up until it reached $20 and I asked her why. Told me that the price is for regular donuts. Whenever I buy donuts I get couple maple bars, twists, a couple lemon filled and was never told those were ever fancy. I know the bigger ones like apple fritters or cinnamon rolls were a little more. But I didn't pick any of the big ones. So I told them that the menu is misleading and that they should have that changed. The other woman than says that's how everyone does it. I told her no they don't. I said you go to a place like YumYum Donuts and they are the price written. Than the woman says ours is fresh and theirs is not. This is the second time I've tried the donuts and croissants from this place and they are amazing!!! We are huge Krispy Kreme fans but NO MORE! This is now our go-to donut shop!! The donuts taste like they were just made...and they aren't super sugary sweet like the KK donuts are. Just the right amount of sweetness. My Dad loves donuts, and he's pretty good at picking out places that make good ones. He started going to this place once it changed owners and now I'm a regular too. I love cake donuts-the ones here are perfect for me; soft but not mushy/oily, not encrusted with glaze, not dry as chalk. Their glazed is also very good. Why pay $8 for a dozen of overrated rock-hard Krispy Kreme doorstoppers (remember-the light's on for the glazed donuts-the rest of them don't get the same treatment) when I can get a variety of 15 fresh donuts for a $1 less (it's now $7.49 for a dozen + 3 free)? I work in San Ramon, so I have to leave very early to beat the heavy commuter traffic. I usually come here before 6am to get a box for the office (and they love it when I do). The place is clean and the ladies who work there are nice. I've also bought some in the afternoon during the weekend - same great donuts and good service. I like that it's located in an area that most won't feel "safe" in so it's not tainted for those who could care less (like myself) and want to enjoy their spot in peace. These are the best donuts I've found in Stockton. They are perfect. I wouldn't say that I'm a regular, but I do go there fairly often. Looks like they've started to make mochas and other fancy coffee drinks. I ordered a frappé type mocha, it was pretty good.
