Ohhhhhhh my favorite donut s apple fritter. Yummyyy. Owner is very friendly. I love donut at J&D Donuts.

They are Always fast and good service. Donuts are good just sell out fast of my fav ones.

Great service, especially in the wee early opening hours when I'm rushing to buy donuts before work. The guy that works there in the early morning hours is very friendly and makes the best donuts! My go to donut spot! read more

I paid $18.94 for what was suppose to be 1 dozen donuts which I only got 11 donuts And to top it off they were not all fresh. I am so upset at the price because I've been robbed. Ugh. I would not go there again. read more

I was craving donuts the other day and headed out just after 6 am to the shop near my house but there were so many people there I could not find a spot to park. I continued down the road and saw J&D just a few blocks away. There were also a good amount of people there but they have a much larger parking lot so I was easily able to find a spot. The shop was well lit and has some tables inside. There were a few gentlemen having coffee and donuts. The display was full of freshly made donuts but I would recommend coming early because it was before 6:30 and some of the favorites were already dwindling. The staff was attentive and grabbed everything I asked for quickly. With tip I paid $14 for 7 donuts. The fritters were a little oily but still delicious and there were no complaints about any of the others. The raspberry filled and old-fashioned maple were delicious! I would definitely come back here again. read more

New to Lodi and decided to try this donut shop and let me tell you they are super delicious! They're super friendly as well!

Nice staff. Very happy with these donuts. After finding our fave Stockton shop I wanted to see if lodi had something just as good and they do. Fluffy and crisp frosting, good dough, I don't feel oily or yucky after. I am a fan. I only eat chocolate frosted rounds and bars. I'm going to try maple and glazed next time! I wish they made their customers wear masks. I have a procedure coming up and I have to test negative. The customer in there was just talking and coughing all over the place . read more

Very delicious donuts... I love how they make them fresh every day, great service good people. I love coming here every morning read more

The donuts are ok. The staff is rude. The owner watches customers from her undisclosed location and picks and chooses which customers get to stay and singles out those she wants to get rid of and has her staff try to humiliate and intimidate them to get them to leave. There is a time limit for those that (don't speak Spanish, or not of Latin descent, are quiet??). Overall, not a pleasant experience. Particularly for those mentioned above. Would not recommend. read more

We came right when they opened at 4am. Great prices. Especially since the donuts were fresh and delicious. However, I also ordered a blueberry muffin that was not fresh at all. It was actually moldy. Otherwise still had a good experience lol. Just be careful if you go right when they open, as they might serve you stuff from days before. read more

I love their donuts! They definitely have the best Apple fritters! All the donuts are fresh and not dry like some donut shops. I actually lived here about 20 years or more ago and used to go to J & D Donuts and I was super happy they are still here lol. I couldn't wait to get one of their Apple fritters . So deliciously sinful lol. I live supporting local businesses! read more

J & D Donuts - Yummy J & D Donuts! Absolutely delicious- especially the apple fritters . Everything is yummy though! - Donuts Near Me - Lodi, California

Cool spot. Delicious donuts. Nice people running the place. J & D Donuts offers pretty much everything you could want from a donut shop in terms of variety and flavor. Want a cake donut or an apple fritter? No problem. Want sprinkles? You've got it. Want a warm one, right out of the oven? It might not be ready, but they'll tell you when to come back, and it'll be worth it when you do. This location is just down the street from my house, is conveniently located, and also conveniently open until 10pm. I'm a bit of a night owl, so I'm more inclined to stop by for a donut after dinner than before work, and they're very accommodating, in that regard. Even better, their apple fritters are absolutely delicious. I'm not one to indulge in sweets or desserts too frequently, but I'll make an exception for J & D after an extra strenuous workout at Planet Fitness, my gym in the same shopping center. A donut is always a worthwhile reward. read more

Donut are just OK nothing special. I like the maple bars at Save Mart better and the price is better too.

I can't believe we found a donut shop open late! We went around 6:30 but they're open until 10pm. Keep in mind that the later you go the less options they have for donuts. Doesn't mean they're any less yummy! We tried their basic sugar donut, you have to start with the basic to know if they can get it right and they did! It's very soft! Made me wonder when they made it because it tasted really good but it was the end of the day. The kids had the cake donut and I had to take a bite. I'm not a fan of cake donuts because I prefer the fluffiness of a regular fried donut. It was still good, not as dense as I expected it to be. I can't believe how LONG the long johns are. I don't know which was more my favorite the long John or raspberry filled donut. The raspberry filled glazed donut was really good. Usually filling are SO SWEET that you can't finish the donut. Not the case here! The filing complemented the sweetness of the donut and the glaze. They did a really good job having the filling spread out over the whole donut. read more

If I could give this donut shop, less than one star I would and It's not for the donuts. The donuts are very good. Unfortunately , The service is also very bad. We were served by a lady who was extremely impatient, kept ringing up our order before we had completed it. The thing is we were going to get a lot more donuts but felt so rushed. But what really made my wife in myself angry was when a man in a wheelchair came in. She looked perturbed that he was in the shop and directed her coworker to "deal with him". I don't usually write reviews, but I feel like I had to this time . JD Donuts I'm staying with Star Donuts were they have respect for the customers. read more

This place has the most delicious donuts ever! The prices are really cheap also. I recommend coming here.

I'm gonna get this tattooed somewhere on my body, in some kind of cool script. Or at the very least, pass this life lesson on to my children. "Donuts are bad, you shouldn't eat them... But... If given the opportunity to partake of hot, fresh, melt in your mouth donuts, do not, under any circumstances pass that up" Here is a place where you forgo the first rule and move on to the exception that follows it. They open early AM and stay open I think into the afternoon then re open at about 5 pm. And what's better than fresh donuts for desert? I, having tried a few of they're offerings, can unequivocally recommend the blueberry cake donut. Warm or slightly more than warm is when they're at their peak and I probably shouldn't admit this but could easily consume about 12 of them myself. I wouldn't, I know I shouldn't. But could. Seriously, give these guys a try. I know I'm glad I did. read more

Love this donut place! The donuts are my favorite in town, the place is also really clean and they always have a huge selection!

Before my bike ride today, decided to get some Sugar, aka Donuts. I was going to ride it off anyways... so, what the heck! But where? There are numerous Donut Shops in Lodi for your consumption. I decided on J & D because every time I would pass it on a bike ride to who-knows-where, it seemed like J & D had the most people sitting and sipping Coffee and consuming Donuts. Today, the place was half full... everyone, and I mean everybody was a guy! It looked like were sitting there since the place opened in the morning! Just nursing their Coffee, I guess. I mentioned in a review of Hollywood Cafe ( http://www.yelp.com/biz/hollywood-cafe-lodi#hrid:TPSg0z31awvRt77RXLqKXQ ) , just across the street from J & D, that the new atmosphere of Hollywood would drive away the "regulars"... the old men that would sit all morning at Hollywood. Well, the guys just moved across the street to J & D! Ordered... Glazed Donut $0.65 Filled Maple Bar (Custard filled - $1.25) - The most custard I've seen in a Filled Maple Bar. BUT.. dried out. Prices comparable to any Donut place... anywhere. But Donuts were dry and at least a couple of hours old. Didn't exactly melt in your mouth. Inside J&D, the air was very stuffy and very warm for so early in the morning. Thought to myself, because the front of J&D faces West... this place WILL get HOT in the afternoon. Also... a lot of transients hanging around this strip mall for whatever reason. Very popular place nonetheless... three people came in and ordered boxes of Donuts to take back to the Office... or whereever. read more

Some of the best donuts I've ever had. Perfectly fried, filled, and shaped. We had the bear claw, maple swirl, fritter, and old fashion... they all had amazing flavor. Good pricing too. The more you buy the more you save. Thanks again! Can't wait to go back. read more

In the area once a month and almost always visit this spot. Donuts are always nice and fresh, and of course yummy! They're open pretty late so we get to satisfy our sweet tooth at night if we want. I don't know why there is hype to this dump. Horrible customer service. The doughnuts are stale , cold and over-sweetened. The owner lies about the freshness and selection over the phone. Save yourself the drive and get better doughnuts, selection and service elsewhere. read more

This has been my go-to donut spot for the last few years when I want to grab something quick in the morning. So I hate to say it, but this place has roaches. This morning when I stopped in I could see a few crawling behind the counter. I don't care how good the donuts are, cockroaches in a food establishment is never okay. This place is always busy in the morning. Lots of customers in line, lots of people eating inside. I mean I've even had to park elsewhere in the lot on Friday mornings to get donuts. But their service is quick and their glazed donuts are excellent.
