So I am a little hungry and it's going to be at least another three hours or more before I get dinner. I was very shocked to find out that their last day is 4/26 /25 after I think it said 30 years. I asked the lady why they were leaving and he said it was because the owner of the building did not want to renew their least. How sad!! I have noticed that almost everything on that building is new stores. Songs Hot dogs did not last long but got replaced by a dumpling restaurant. I was shocked to see a Papa John's Pizza place in there because I don't think they are one of the major pizza places. I also wondered why Baskin-Robbin's was no longer there, but maybe like the donut shop they didn't want to renew their lease. They know if they get new faces in there they can get mite rent or lease money, but you know that isn't always good business. People like myself rely on the old places being there. This donut shop was very convenient to me on my way to the freeway and I loved bringing my grandchildren there for Saturday treats. I usually let them get whatever they want and it doesn't cost. Dry much even if I get something. The donut shop passed the freeway is a different story--two donuts and a drink is $8.00 just for one person. Who can afford that for donuts!!!
