Came in from out of town to run some errands and decided to stop in with my 4 young kids. The shop was clean, the owner I assume and possibly daughter were SO SWEET. They were patient with the kids picking out their donuts and even gave them each a stick with donut holes which tied them over until we got to where we were going. This used to be my go to spot until one morning I went and got half a dozen and as I left I was eating them on the way home I finished one and as I bit into the second one I looked inside the donut there was some type of bug. Small family owned and operated. I own a business in the area and enjoy grabbing a paper and coffee ever now and then from this little place. I like the fact that the people behind the counter are always polite and attentive. I have yet to have a bad experience here and honestly don't think I ever will. If you in the area early morning and looking for something quick and sweet, this little shop might just hit the spot for you. They are also very good about keeping the riff raff away and maintaining a clean and pleasant area in and around their business. On the Bike Ride to Stockton today, decided to just have some sweet stuff because I had a big Breakfast before I started on my ride. On the menu today... Filled Maple Bar (**), Glazed Twist (***) I'm going to group the Donuts in one review... Sweaty Donuts! The problem with Donuts & More is a lack of air conditioning and / or no refrigerated display case to house the Donuts. The Maple Bar is rated lower because the owner had to take the Maple Bar in the back room and "manipulate" the Custard Filling into the Maple Bar... And it looked it! When I got it... it looked like it had been in someone's pocket! Coffee (*) For a Donut place that does not have fresh Coffee is a blasphemy! When have you went to a Donut shop and NOT had a good cup of Coffee? Well, this is a first. When I obtained my cup of Coffee, it must have been the darkest sink-hole I've seen! Took a third of a quart of Creamer just to make it look right. And when I sipped it... luke-warm... oops, too much Creamer. Total: $3.84. (Actually, this is a pretty expensive Donut Shop... I always order the same thing... compare my last visit to Fancy Donuts on Robinhood & Pacific ( http://www.yelp.com/biz/fancy-donuts-stockton-2#hrid:5WPZQ6zqvZvrsTthF1Lzsw ) ). Only Donut Shop that I've seen that has a Drive-Thru window. Ca$h ONLY! BTW, this is one "Pissed-Off at Life" proprietor! I started a conversation with him as I left.... 1) He has had this business ten years, and because of the state of the Economy, he says this is his worst year EVER! I guess he has owned three other Donut Shops (San Mateo, Berkeley, and Los Gatos), which he subsequently sold for a profit. He should have scoped out Stockton before deciding to locate his business in East Stockton! 2) There are eight, count 'em, EIGHT "spy in the sky" CCTV Cameras located all over the shop! The shop's front door has been vandalized (broken) three times, and his car has been broken into twice! 3) He subsequently went on a tirade about the Economy... Distributors raising prices because of Transportation & Fuel costs, and he can't pass on the price hikes to the Customer which would result in a drastic downturn in business. The landlord, I guess, raises the rent despite the bad Economy 3% to 5% every year... and he can't pass those expenses to the customer either. Frankly, I would worry about the proprietor going "Postal", rather than a demented Customer coming in... read more

(11/20/16) I remember coming here a long while back and not caring for their donuts much. Today was my second time in this week and they have gotten a lot better from my first visit. The old fashion donuts are great and like that they're fairly thinner compared to most places. My only confusion comes from the lady working there. Been here about 3 times in the last couple months! Always on Sunday morning and was always glad to see plenty of donuts even when I slept in a bit!
