It wasn't super filling though, several of the dishes were small portion-wise and size wise (the dumplings were like thumb sized which was surprising). But maybe im just used to larger portions? An excellent dough zone spot! The dishes and flavors were spot on! We came as a group of five and they put us at a four person + 1. Which was fine except that we ordered way too much food and our table didn't have enough room for all our dishes hahaha. Dan Dan noodles were great! Zhajiang noodles were a little clumpy, sadly. XLB looked lopsided but tasted perfect. Qbao tasted classic, though maybe less fried than some other locations. Cucumber was great. Kale salad I hadn't had before- I think I wouldn't get it again. I came here with my mom not too long ago, and unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We had just been seated and had barely spent 10 seconds looking at the menu when Linda approached us and asked if we could move to a different table so another family could sit where we had originally been seated. We were immediately confused as to why we were being asked to move when we had done nothing wrong. It was especially uncomfortable because Linda then added, "You guys don't have to move if you don't want to." If we truly had the option to stay, then why were we being asked to move in the first place?. She continued standing near us and staring at us like if she was expecting a good reaction out of this while the family waited behind her, making the situation even more uncomfortable. My mom and I ultimately felt pressured into moving, and the entire interaction left us feeling unwelcome before we had even had the chance to enjoy our meal. If the table had been reserved for that family, then this was clearly a communication issue among the staff that should have been addressed before seating us. That could have easily been avoided with proper coordination. However, if the family had simply requested our table, then it is even more concerning that we were put in a position where we felt expected to give up our seats for other customers. Other customers should not automatically take priority over those who have already been seated, and it is not appropriate to make paying customers feel as though they are inconveniencing the staff or other guests by remaining at their table. Regardless of the reason behind this, Linda could have handled the situation with more professionalism, consideration, and respect. Instead, the way she approached us and lingered while waiting for our response made what should have been a simple dining experience unnecessarily uncomfortable. Asking politely does not automatically sugar coat or make the situation appropriate, especially when the way this was presented makes customers feel pressured to comply. Order times are pretty swift, and customer service is nothing to write home about, But I do appreciate that they get around their servers poor English skills by using marked menu's. We stopped by a Dough Zone in Portland, OR and weren't too big a fan of it, but decided to give this location a chance. I'd say overall, I really enjoyed our meal and this location. The honey and I ordered steamed dumplings in hot and sour sauce and chicken and pork soup dumplings. Everything was quite good, and the scalding temperature the honey prefers for his dumplings. The service was quick and helpful, and although we would have preferred to order by QR code, filling out the sheet of paper wasn't too bad. I ordered the pork xiao long bao ($9.25), the pan fried pork buns ($9.25), the sweet and sour cucumber ($7.15), and the dan dan noodles ($7.75) Xiao long bao: These are pretty standard if not a little worse than average xlb. I felt that the soup inside was slightly bland and I wish there was a bit more flavor. Pan fried pork buns: Probably the best thing I had here. I liked how crispy the bottom was and the filling was delicious. A must grab here. Dan dan noodles: Very heavy on the szechuan peppercorn so if you love that numbing tongue feeling then this is the dish for you -- I personally felt it was a little heavy on the spice and so I didn't enjoy it as much. Sweet and sour cucumber: Very standard and very tasty! Overall, the food is pretty good especially if you're looking for somewhere to go on your lunch break and for a pretty okay price. Not really a fan of this location of Dough Zone. This location is pretty small and we ended up having to wait for ~20-30 mins to get seated even at 2pm. Parking lot is also really small and shared between many businesses so difficult to get a spot, and parking at the Dairy Queen isn't allowed either. As for food, pretty much standard for Dough Zone. I found the cucumbers here to not be as flavorful as some of the other locations. XLB and QBao was good though. I will probably just keep to the Overlake location in the future. read more

I still remember going to the tiny Dough Zone in crossroads mall, now dough zone is an international phenomena which many would argue rivals Din Tai Fung in terms of food taste and is more more value in terms of cost. The Redmond downtown location is in a prime area near town center and has reasonable parking. We ordered a bunch of dumplings, potstickers, Pancakes and Dan Dan noodles. Everything tasted fresh and great. The only negative was that their teas are too sweet and they don't tell you upfront. I would not order them again. Service was fast and overall we were left content. Four people eating like pigs only cost us around $134 including tips. We will be back again! read more
