Really love the vibe and interior design of this place!! Staff were very nice and friendly to answer all our questions. Really like their icing because it was very dense, full of flavor, and delicious! But some of the dough was not chewy-like donut, it was more like a hardened bread that was overcooked or the dough got harden overnight type of texture. We really like the lemon-flavored cream filling inside the donut. Will definitely go back to try again with other types of donuts!

Had NO IDEA this place was vegan. Just stopped in because we were craving donuts and they were honestly quite good! It you're vegan, definitely give this place a try. The woman working there was kind and gave us recommendations. Donuts were about $3-4 each. GET the blueberry fritter! It was like an apple fritter in texture but BETTER. Wonderful blueberry swirls of flavor throughout the dough and the glaze over the top was just perfect too. We weren't as a fan of the pop tart donut mainly because the strawberry jelly was a bit thick and artificial looking, but the dough itself was springy and light. They also have a variety of coffee and espresso options available. I will say the inside felt quite industrial, very concrete and plain feeling, and was also cold inside because the doors were purposely propped wide open on a cold winter day, so we ate our donuts quickly and left. All that to say this is NOT a place with ambiance that says come meet up with a friend here and hang out. It really feels like a place to stop in and grab a donut, but they are yummy!

Impeccable, warm service. Beautiful and equally delicious doughnuts where you wouldn't even know they were vegan!? 10/10 Space is beautiful and clean and cozy. Will definitely be back.

I love Dough Joy! I went here with my hubs the first weekend they opened and have been back another three times. We've tried more of their donuts and they've been great. My favorite so far is the cinnamon sugar raised donut. It's just perfect. My hubs doesn't have a fave yet but he had the raised French Toast recently and really enjoyed it. Service has always been friendly and the vibe here is happy and light. There's a lot of joy to be found at Dough Joy!!!

This place is fricken awesome. I highly recommend dough joy for your donut needs if you're in this area! I loved the vibe, ambiance, customer service, workers, and the donuts. I absolutely love the bags they use for individual donuts. It's cute, eye catching, and good quality! I'm a huge fan of blueberry donuts so k had a blueberry glazed and a blueberry fritter! Both were soo good. I love the glaze on the fritter and the blueberry glaze was thicker than your average donut shop! I'm definitely coming back here.

Probably one of the best doughnuts in town and you would never know they're vegan. I was bummed when their Ballard food truck disappeared, and then excited to see a store front from them a year or two later! It's a big store front with a handful of seating. Lots of variety of flavors. We got their Poptart and Matcha Strawberry. The Poptart didn't really taste like a Poptart, tasted like a regular vanilla doughnut with a strawberry filling. The Matcha Strawberry was great, the matcha was subtle but noted, and the freeze dried strawberry was a nice tart flavor.

Great donut shop . Got the maple and chocolate sprinkle, one of those rare vegan places and the donuts are amazing

I nearly cried. As someone with a dairy allergy I haven't had a true raised donut in about 7 years. I've been searching for a good dairy free donut since my allergy took a bad turn in 2018 and it wasn't until today that I found it. I cannot stress enough how incredible these vegan donuts are and how amazing it felt to look at a case of donuts and be able to pick any of them (and with no concerns)! They aren't "good for a vegan donut" they're just straight up amazing. The place is also so cute and the staff were pleasant to work with! Allergy or not - you're missing out if you don't try dough joy! My husband with no allergies also absolutely loved their donuts. Such a gem in Seattle!

This place is great for people who have allergies or sensitivities since all donuts are egg free, dairy free, and nut free. They also have gluten-free donuts. Very inclusive shop! I got the Poptart - Poptart inspired doughnut with strawberry filling, vanilla icing, and streusel crumble. The strawberry filling has chunks of berries inside. I love how the doughnut is a chunky-looking rectangle very reminiscent of a poptart! Special- Raspberry filled- covered with a generous amount of powdered sugar on top and filled perfectly. And then a coffee doughnut which has coffee-flavored icing. The icing is very sweet and the sugar overpowers the coffee flavor. I think this shop is great for people who want the standard yeast doughnuts but without any allergens. It's not trying to be a fancy or high end doughnut shop with complex ingredients. We decided to drop by after eating lunch in the area for a sweet treat afterwards, then ended up picking up a whole dozen... Some notes for a couple that I tried: Maple Bar ($4.99) - Hmm.. Not that fluffy or light. Instead or being airy, it's more dense and has a kind of springy chew. The glaze is sweet and gives off a heavy maple fragrance, an indication they use real maple syrup in the glaze. Maple bars from other places are usually disgustingly sweet with basically no maple flavor - this one is sweet but more well balanced. I think the texture is definitely different from a typical yeast donut. I wonder if it's just because it more difficult to make vegan yeast donuts vs cake donuts? It's a different type of yeast donut, but still very good. (4/5) Chocolate Peanut Butter ($4.45) - Good peanut butter flavor in both the topping and glaze. I think the donut base is also peanut butter but it could be contamination from the glaze. The base isn't very sweet and is kind of almost savory in flavor. The donut is dense but not crumbly and instead very moist. Not really crusty, so not too much textural difference. I think it's baked rather than fried. Still very sweet. (4/5) Devils Playground ($4.45) - The donut base is dense with rich chocolate flavor, and coated with a chocolate ganache of just the right thickness. I hate it when donuts just have a smear of topping to make the donut look attractive, but does barely anything flavor wise. This one, on the other hand, is richly flavored. (4/5) Chocolate Raspberry ($3.65) - This is my favorite, same chocolate cake donut base as above but with bright berry notes and specks of seeds. The tangy berries do wonders to temper down some of the sweetness. (5/5) French Toast ($3.65) - My least favorite by far. Covered with peanuts (which is fine), but the cake donut base or perhaps the glaze tastes heavily earthy, like an overload of cinnamon and nutmeg. (2/5) People who expect the exact same texture as a non-vegan donut, both the cake and yeast types, will probably be disappointed. If I just think of these donuts as their own thing, they're actually quite good. There's another donut shop that I prefer down the street, but Mighty-O Donuts certainly isn't a bad choice for a sweet treat.

I tried the passionfruit creme brulee donut, and though a bit pricey ($6), it was worth the money. The top of the donut had that perfect creme brulee torched top, and the passion fruit inside was perfectly tangy, which offset the fattiness from the donut itself. It wasn't very sweet, but I kinda liked that. The other flavors on the menu also looked great. I hear they rotate their menu often. There is nowhere to sit here, so be prepared to take your donuts to go. The shop does sell some beverages, like water or milk, to help you get in the donut mood. The service on my visit was fine. The gentleman working was nice enough, but nothing to write home about. Overall, a good donut shop if you're looking for speciality donuts and don't mind the higher price tag.
