I came here with 7 of my friends and the food was so delicious. However, Anton left such a bad taste in our mouths the entire time we were there. He was super impatient, bitterly sarcastic and quite rude. Our table was appalled. While we loved the food, we can't decide if it's worth returning due to the service. We were such a friendly and easy bunch so we cannot even begin to imagine why we had the experience we did. read more

love love loves it best vegan pizza i have ever had and stellar service! The vibe was also great not to crowded beautiful music.

Double Zero is SO good! I crave their pizza every few weeks. I've brought several non-vegans here and they all agree that you can't tell the pizzas are 100% plant based. Service is hit or miss. The last time I was here, the service was so bad that we avoided the restaurant for several months. Ambiance is nice, and there's a great list of wines and beers. Even though service is hit or miss, I still want to return. The ingredients are incredibly fresh (something about their basil!) and prices are reasonable. read more

Honestly not that great. They have gluten free options but they sucked. The pizza dough felt more like pita, very average. No one at my table enjoyed the pastas except for one. The white pasta's texture and sauce was too thick, not really flavorful. Overall not great dinner. Would not go again. There's better gluten free/vegan options out there! read more

If I wasn't told this was a vegan restaurant, I wouldn't have even been able to tell because the food was so good! Vegan pizza....a way to trick yourself into thinking you're eating healthier lol We started off with the artisanal cheese plate as an appetizer. It came with smoked Gouda, pepper jack, another cheese I forgot the name to, and these delicious, thin pita like chips. As for the pizza, we tried the white pizza with roasted corn, mushrooms, ricotta cheese, and kale. This pizza was amazing! The roasted corn added a touch of sweetness while the ricotta cheese was light and fluffy like a cloud. I absolutely love white pizzas, but am always afraid it'll be too heavy with cream and sauce. This wasn't the case at all! We also split a bottle of the Gavi wine and that was all the perfect amount of food for a date! Good place for a date, just note that the tables are communal seating, but what's more New York than that? read more

I feel like a lot of vegan restaurants like to serve everything under the sun, rarely specializing in any one cuisine. Unless "vegan" is considered a cuisine in and of itself, in which case I apologize for my naiveté! Double Zero was a rare find in that regard because it does specialize...in pizza! My favorite food! It also doesn't "feel" like a vegan restaurant. You know how a lot of vegan places have that hippie casual flower power vibe? Not that I have anything against those, but I bet vegans appreciate a lil' change in scenery once in awhile. I love the vibe at Double Zero: candlelit, high top communal tables, wine everywhere. Oh yeah, it's a wine bar too. Very classy. Perfect for a date or wine with your gals. I had a pesto pizza topped with sunflower seeds, a nut-based cheese, and veggies. I'll admit the sunflower seeds kind of threw me off, but I ended up LOVING it. I ate almost the entire thing. It's definitely a 1:1 pizza to person ratio, so order accordingly! read more

I'm from Chicago so I know for a fact NYC has better pizza! Anyway, sometimes you want Two Boots or Screamers and you just want to enjoy all that greasy deliciousness that makes you want to blast the Ramones and have a dance party you don't invite anyone else to join. And, at other times, you want the fancier artisanal pizza with incredibly well prepared ingredients that make you ponder life and wonder why there is never enough wine in your glass and if there's a ghost over your shoulder who is always drinking your wine (enough already!) Anyway, when you hear people complaining that all vegan pizza is the same or isn't as good as non vegan pizza, send them over to Double Zero! The ambiance was great and the food was even better. read more

Love coming here whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Whenever I bring no vegan friends or family to this place they're always shocked at how good all the food is. The service is great, super friendly and attentive but I do wish they expanded! The seating can be pretty cramped but I guess it's NY so space comes at a premium. They should consider selling their dough and cheese so that we can prepare our own pizzas at home! read more

Definitely feels like a college spot. The team rushed us out of here as quickly as possible - we were in and out for Friday night dinner in about 45 minutes. Last night was the absolute worst experience I've had in a long time. I was extremely disappointed in the service, considering that I frequent this restaurant. Yesterday myself and my fiancé showed up early to our reservation only to be ignored by the waitstaff. The only person on staff who took our order was the hostess, who by the way was great. Myself and my fiancé were never greeted by any of the waitstaff. In fact the waitstaff helped and greeted guests who walked in after us. Served people who sat on the opposite side of the same table we sat at. Makes you feel bad as a customer when you are being ignored but it feels especially highlighted when you are the only black customers in an establishment. The restaurant manager Moses was kind and sincerely apologized to us. He offered us a meal and drinks at the neighboring restaurant, Bar Verde. The service, food and drinks were great. It saved us from the bad mood the night was heading in. It really is a shame what happened at double zero. Normally the service is topnotch, hopefully they review this incident and their staff... read more

My husband and I are vegans visiting from Minnesota. He was here for work and I got to tag along Double Zero is the first all vegan restaurant we ate at together in Soho. We had no idea how busy they would be so we did make reservations online before we flew out. We arrived at on a Monday evening about 4:40PM - so walked around a bit until they opened up. while we were there, there were about two other tables. The inside was dark and romantic. Candles lit, very classy looking place inside. Our doors, were black tables and chairs. The restroom was super clean, beautiful, and smelled really nice. Now onto the food. Everything, but like one item was not vegan. We ordered the Fennel Sausage pizza and the Gnocchi. The waiter informed us that the gnocchi was a wheat and not a potato. The gnocchi came out first. With the pesto and the cashew cheese (I think it was cashew cheese) it was delicious. The gnocchi on its own-was just ok. Something I wouldn't mind ordering again, but would probably try other things before ordering it. The pizza was amazing! The crust was so light and chewy. The amount of sauce/moisture, cheese and the "sausage" was nuts i think. It was all amazing. I wish I had some cilantro to put on it. LOL I love cilantro. I would love to go back and try a different pizza or the lasagna, but we're here for such a short amount of time, that we won't be going back this visit. Excited to come back again though. read more

This place is solid, and I'm not even a vegan, but with a few tweaks it could easily be better. My favorite on both visits was the green or pesto pizza, which also had some roasted tomatoes. I think the crust of all of the pizzas is good, and the portion size is pretty substantial, but this is the only one I have really loved. A couple of others were just ok. The appetizers I have had have been good, and I would be interested in trying others. In other words, there is more than just pizza here. I had a pretty nice well priced wine on one visit, however, the restaurant has always been warm, and the red wine was served way above cellar temperature...the wine prices are too expensive for the wine to be served improperly. Which brings me to service, which is at least a full star deduction from my review. I have been in twice, and had a total of 6 servers, because each time, we have gotten the "my shift is ending and so-and-so will be taking over your table." Understandable once, but not on both visits, and multiple times within one meal! The second time it happened right as we were requesting our check, and so we were stuck there another 30 minutes almost, mainly it seems waiting for our new server...we couldn't flag her down because we didn't know who she was! This is crazy/totally in appropriate for a decent restaurant in my opinion, and I will try to proactively manage this situation if I go back...maybe as for the bill when the pizza comes! read more

This is the middle restaurant in a row of 3 side by side vegan restaurants, all owned by the same person. So naturally, this was the 2nd stop on our 3-stop vegan restaurant crawl. If you're vegan and you're craving pizza, this is the place to go. The flavours are amazing - tastes exactly like non-vegan pizza, but with the extra flavour of being cruelty-free. We tried the eggplant bacon pizza and loved it! Already recommended to all our friends and will definitely go back. read more

I don't eat meat and my friend can't eat gluten or dairy. You can imagine we're really fun to hang out with, right? Luckily, Double Zero is serving up "plant-based" vegan pizza with a gluten-free crust option. The mushroom pizza with truffle cashew cream was delicious. The pizzas come with a cute little pile of red pepper flakes on the side. The shiitake bacon is also a must. The antipasto salad features macadamia ricotta, which was an interesting take on nut cheese. With the pizza oven burning at the back and the wall of wine bottles, the atmosphere here is really classy and romantic--a perfect date spot. My one complaint is that the prices are high for what it is. The pizzas really aren't much bigger than a personal pizza, and they're $20+. You could maybe split one pizza with another person, but you definitely wouldn't be full. Especially if you're getting wine or an appetizer, you could easily spend $40 per person, which is just a little ridiculous for pizza. read more

*Pros: -Delicious plant-based food. -Menu includes plenty of non-pizza offerings. -Lighting is perfect. -Quality and service is consistent (been here a few times now). *Cons: -Indoors, counter-height community tables only. -It can get very noisy and crowded. -There is only one unisex bathroom. -The staff starts hustling to prepare for closing during the last 30-45 mins of being open. -Outside, tables are not reservable. read more

I never write reviews but wow... my friend and I had a very uncomfortable and unpleasant experience at Double Zero. Both servers were extremely rude and messed up my friend's salad order-- she is allergic to chickpeas, was very clear when ordering to have no chickpeas in the salad, and the salad arrived with chickpeas. Our server completely disappeared and we couldn't find someone to tell, so we finally had to tell the other server. When a new salad arrived, the other server delivered the salad saying "extra chickpeas!" in a joking way, without any sort of apology. ?!?!? My friend could have had a very serious reaction and the server had the nerve to joke about seriousness of food allergies, without any form of an apology? I never write reviews but the fact that our actual waiter was completely oblivious to the incident at the very end of the dinner when he came back was the cherry on top. When we left, our actual server told us ~quote~ -- "Please come back soon ladies, because my life without you is meaningless." A very weird thing to say to two twenty year old girls and he was complexly unaware of the potentially serious incident and his countless mistakes. Please don't let this happen to other customers because it was very unpleasant, uncomfortable, and inconsiderate. Our GF pizza was also burnt and dry. read more

I'm Italian and I've always been skeptical of vegan pizza, or to be precise, of the vegan cheese on vegan pizzas. Every time I've tried it in the past, it was a chewy substance that didn't taste like anything. At Double Zero, I had to take a step back and recognize that, once made properly, vegan pizza is delicious. We had three pizzas to share: -the truffle one: delicious and decadent. The vegan cheese was creamy and made the perfect base for the baby Kale. - the basil pesto and sunflower seed: my personal favorite. Great vegan ricotta, with a texture very similar to the dairy one! Confit tomatoes and onions complete the work of art. - the pizza of the day, a hot pizza with vegan pepperoni and Calabrian hot pepper. The right amount of spicy! I suggest outdoor seating for people watching! read more

I've been searching for good pizza in New Jersey for the past 7 years when I come to visit my boyfriend.. I just found great pizza! The place is small and has very limited seating ...I think it's more of a takeout place but we stopped to get wine next door and decided to try it and took our bottle in with us.. met the owner Mike and he was more than gracious. He told us that the sauce, the water to make the dough, the cheese ...everything comes from Italy and you can tell! It was truly amazing Pizza! So hear me out, this five star review is simply for the fact that 00+Co might be the best *vegan* pizza on the planet. If you've ever had a Neapolitan pie in Naples, you won't even recognize what you're eating (outside of the 00 flour dough, of course). It's an agreed upon fact there won't be enough animal-based proteins to sustain a healthy planet while supporting an expanding population within the next 30 years. Don't believe me? Believe the UN: http://greatist.com/health/un-report-insects-food-051613. Getting a head start on a shift towards a more sustainable future, 00+Co. New in East Village, they're doing things with vegetables that will make even the most carnivorous eaters turn their heads. With a menu that's 100% devoid of meat products, all of their offerings are plant based, including their hard cheeses (made from nuts). We were in a pizza mood, so that was the big focus of a recent stop through. The smoked carrot pizza with Crimini mushrooms, shaved fennel, and parsley-mint pesto was the runaway favorite amongst our party. The shaved fennel was a little unwieldy on top, but the puréed and smoked carrot that acted as the sauce was incredible. The other pizza that made its way to our table was the faro-fennel sausage, tomato, and cashew Mozzarella. It was also very tasty, and the faro-fennel sausage added a crumbly mouth-feel that typically lacks in softer adjunct meat analogues. You can't go wrong with either. It's an upscale dining experience, so you don't have to worry about being in one of those culty vegan restaurants where they stream PETA propaganda videos while you eat Tofurky. You're in a real restaurant, eating real food, and it feels real good. read more

From the moment I stepped into this restaurant I got bad vibes. I should have trusted my instincts, but made the mistake of eating here anyway... When my husband and I walked in the restaurant there was no one in there, we were just blankly stared at, so I asked if they were open. A female waitress said "no, we open in 10 minutes.". The vibe of the restaurant was feeling pretty pretentious, but I wanted to try the pizza, so we came back a little later. Upon returning, we were told to sit wherever. Not paying much attention, we sat at a table with a face-level mirror. Weird. I usually don't like watching myself eat. We ordered quickly and were anxious to try the pizza. The waiter delivered our food and scurried away. We had to stop him to ask which pizza one of them was since it did not look like what we ordered. I had ordered the Farro sausage pie, but was given the Shitake anchovy pie. His response: "well, is it ok?". Well, it tastes OK, but it's not what I ordered! He offered no apology and no solution to the problem. I was shocked. Now, onto the cheesecake...it was FROZEN, like rock hard and could not be cut with a knife. I had to let it thaw for 20 minutes before eating and it was terrible and freezer burned. Once we were finished with our meal, we were over the whole experience and ready to bolt. I was paying cash and waiting for change. The waiter brings over what I thought was my change, but it was just my full amount of money back, but broken up into smaller bills. What? I'm an honest person, so I explained what happened and paid AGAIN. I received no "thank you", "have a nice day" or anything. I'm usually a 25% tipper, but he received 10%, and honestly, deserved nothing. We wanted pizza, not pretentiousness. While the pizza was good, the service and cheesecake are terrible. read more

This is a very good vegan pizza restaurant. They make artisanal vegan pizzas and they are delicious. Their flavor profiles are sophisticated. OO-Co has several pizzas on the menu. I chose a spicy marinara with vegan ricotta cheese. Very nice crispy crust too. My server, Julie was excellent. She was cheerful, very knowledgable about the menu and made great recommendations. Despite there being a full house she checked back frequently to keep my water glass full and see how i was doing. I also had a perfect arugula salad and a pale ale that paired nicely with my pizza. While I did not try desert from what I saw on other tables they make some great vegan cheese cake, tiramisu and ice cream sundaes. Now I regret not having desert. Oh well, guess I will just have to go back soon. Check this place out you will not be disappointed. Out door- sidewalk seating. Highly recommend. read more

My dinner here was unfortunately a disappointment. This place is struggling in a variety of areas- I'll start with the physical. There are way too many tables. There's no place for people to wait until they get seated, so they awkwardly hover over people eating. I was seated at the end of the table by the wall, and it was a huge pain to get out. I had to ask 6 people with coats hanging off their chairs to "excuse me" as I bumped into them so I could get out. They have two communal hooks to hang coats, but there aren't any hooks under the table to hang your coats, so almost everyone was sitting on their coats. Now to the food. First of all, They were out of the cheese plate and one of the pizzas. As for the food I did eat, it was so bland. The pizza crust was so-so. The sauce tasted like tomato paste. The "cheese" was so conservatively put on the pizza I have no idea what it even tasted like. It was outrageous how little cheese there was. I tasted a bit on its own to see what the flavor was like, and the texture was off and it was slightly sour. The cauliflower appetizer was ok but definitely not as good as say the cauliflower app at MOB in Brooklyn. Overall, I was really disappointed with both my food and the experience, and unless some major changes are made, I won't be returning. I'll stick with my vegan pizza at Pauli Gees or Pala. read more

There isn't anything creative going on with vegan pizza in Tampa. If a restaurant offers a dairy free pie, you can bet that it will simply be some vegan cheese thrown over their normal crust and sauce. That's why when I read about Double Zero in New York, a place where vegan is the center of everything they do, I bookmarked it and swore that some day I would get there. That some day came during Labor Day weekend. I convinced a large group of friends to join me Double Zero. That meant I could try more pies without having to shell out all the money myself. The eight of us so shared three different pizzas and a plate of zucchini noodles and farro. First up was the smoked carrot pizza topped with crimini mushrooms, shaved fennel and parsley-mint pesto. I loved the cheese and balance of flavors on this pie. I wasn't all gung-ho about this pie during the ordering phase but when I tasted it, I was quickly won over. Next was the confit and tomato arugula pie. This one didn't quite have the pizzaz of the carrot pizza. It left me wanting more. My pie of choice was the farro sausage one. Like the carrot pizza, it had a nice blend of flavors. I liked that this one offered a bit of spiciness, no crushed red peppers needed. The pizza dough at Double Zero was incredible. It was charred and chewy. The highlight of the night wound up being the zucchini noodles and farro. I thought the farro sausage performed really well when placed on top of zucchini. Double Zero is definitely not cheap. It is the kind of place that vegans can go when they want to splurge and have a nice romantic evening. That being said, I recognize the time and effort required to make vegan cheese so I can't fault them for pricing their pies a bit high. read more

I'm not a vegan but came for a friend who is and still really enjoyed the food. For three people, we split the pizza with arugula, fig and balsamic vinegar. It was surprisingly delicious. The crust was great - thin and chewy. The toppings were also very unique and worked well together. There was a little too much balsamic so it was a little sour. We also shared the zucchini lasagna which is basically sliced pieces of zucchini with tomatoes, "cheese" and pesto. It's more like a caprese sandwich than a lasagna. It was still good but I probably would have chosen something else next time. read more

So here's the thing, I hate vegan cheese. Like I really really do. It's rare that I try a vegan cheese and say wow, this is really good. 00 + Co totally surprised me with their delicious pizzas, INCLUDING THE CHEESE. We got one farro-fennel sausage pizza and one with the almond cream, potato, and baby kale pizza, beets from the not pizza section, and then tiramisu. Every single thing was delicious. The only thing I'll say is that the farro-fennel sausage was really nothing like sausage at all. Usually at vegan restaurants the fake meat is quite similar to real meat, but this was completely different. I'm assuming this was intentional, but it was still delicious so I don't care. Also, they were very willing to bring me some "Parmesan" cheese on the side, which was amazing. Definitely come here!!! Very nice ambiance, service, and FOOD. read more

I am not vegan or vegetarian, but I truly did not miss the meat or dairy here. I went with a friend and shared 1 pizza and 2 not pizzas. We had the caramelized eggplant and ricotta pizza and nori bagna cauda and the cauliflower green harrissa. EVERY SINGLE THING was delicious, our server was the sweetest, we loved her but I knock off a star for the seating situation. I understand you need to cram as much people in space but it is really tight, I felt like I was crashing the 3 top party that was sitting next to me. Luckily our seat was right next to the wall and there was a cubby hole to put in my bag and sat on my coat but everyone else seem to have trouble with placing their things, the coat rack had coats over coats hanging. My mom recently has discovered that eating cheese doesn't sit well with her, so we had been meaning to try 00+co since it's vegan. We were going to see a play at the Public Theater and decided that we would give it a try before the show. We got there around 6, so it was pretty quiet, only a few other people. The tables were all high, and it appeared to be communal, but we were lucky there weren't too many people there yet and had a table to ourselves. They also had some seating outside in the front. We ordered our drinks, and then the waitress came over and explained the menu a bit. There were pizzas, and not pizzas, which ranged from appetizers to entrees. We browsed the menu, and decided to start with the sweet potato and almond ricotta bruschetta and share the farro-fennel sausage pizza with cashew mozzarella. The bruschetta came out pretty quickly, and it was very good. Honestly if I didn't know it was vegan cheese I'd have no idea, it tasted just like ricotta! Then we waited a little while for the pizza to come, but once it came it was delicious! It was light on cheese, but the cheese that was on it was really good. The crust was pretty thin, but it was nice and crunchy. Vegan or not I would definitely come back! The service was great, and so was the food. This is vegan/vegetarian heaven. The food here is so delicious and there's so many different options. The one particular pizza that I got was the spicy marinara arrabbiata macadamia ricotta shiitake bacon basil pizza. It was wonderful with such a burst of flavor in your mouth filled with different delicious ingredients. The wine choices were also excellent and we got a summer Rose which was delicious. You can get a Neapolitan pizza anywhere, but this place really kicks it up a notch by providing their customers with different flavors and ingredients compared with other pizza spots. We came here around 8 PM on a Wednesday night and the service was spectacular. Our waiter really was knowledgeable and knew what he was talking about and knew what to recommend or what not to recommend specific to our taste. I think that is hugely important in restaurants for the waiters to be educated on the food on their menu and to be able to recommend specific dishes to customers based on their wants. Nothing is more annoying to me when the waiter says "everything is good". I will definitely be back to try more! read more

Wow. 00+Co knows how to impress vegans and non-vegans alike. It starts with the crust, botch crunchy and chewy and not as heavy as a regular flour crust. The the sauce, which has the right balance of tomato and herbs, topped with a delicate yet rich nutty cheese. My pizza was topped with arugula and a red pepper sauce reduction, while my boyfriend chose the fennel sausage. His was so incredible that I kept trying to get him to trade pizzas, naturally. Always an amazing experience. The food is truly delicious and never disappoints. My fave so far has been the truffle cream pizza

My husband and I love this place. Been coming here whenever we want a good vegan pizza. Service has been amazing even after COVID. Recently came here for a date night and was craving their truffle pizza. They have outdoor seating available, and you can use their bathroom (mask on) to wash your hands or what not. Hand sanitizer is made available up front as well. My husband and I ordered 2 pizza (truffle pizza for me and potato pizza topping with arugula for him) with a side of salad and a bottle of Prosecco. We have no complaints on any, all very satisfying. Salad tasted fresh, Prosecco was refreshing (especially on a very hot day), and the pizza was just melt in your mouth DELICIOUS. This place never disappoints and I highly recommend it. read more

Ordered the faro fennel sausage and thought it was good for the first vegan pizza ive had. I wouldnt come back since i prefer non vegan pizza but the service and ambiance is good and it tasted close enough to a regular pizza so i didnt mind.
