When we arrived we were greeted by Annie, who was so sweet and kind. She showed us to our room, as well as the menu for the evening and gave us all the ins and out of the property. The room was quaint, with just about everything you'd need. The view was 10 out of 10. We stayed upstairs in a room that came with a mini fridge (stocked with a few items) , fireplace, king bed, balcony and TV. Each day we went to the check in and filled out ice bucket so we could make cocktails or have fresh ice in our water. The Inn itself was very quiet. The ground were beautiful and well cared for. We thoroughly enjoyed taking our wine down to sit on the ground overlooking the water. Check out was also super simple. We found our stay here to be absolutely perfect. If we were to change anything, perhaps maybe some slight larger bath towels and a microwave in the room. But even without those things, we would definitely here again.

I think I offended the hostess and waitress after having trouble with their "ring bell for service" bell. We waited a short time in the small entrance and noticed the bell.... Several light taps produced no sound and a more unreserved tap sounded like a fire alarm. The hostess and waitress arrived wide-eyed and I apologized and tried to make light of the awkward meeting... they weren't having it. We were there to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. We stated that in our reservation and were given a half hearted "happy anniversary" after being seated in the middle of the dining room, without any view. Several couples after us were seated with views to the water. It was our first time there and we didn't know to ask... In any case, we loved the food when we finally got it - but it took over an hour and a half after ordering to receive our meal. The waitress, Countnee (name on receipt), couldn't have been less interested in serving us. I guess she never got over the bell incident??? She seemed overly nice to others... even comping a bottle of wine for the couple next to us. We didn't even get the short spiel about how the strawberries in the sorbet were grown in their garden.... she told other people, we heard her- but she couldn't be bothered to take the time with us. We spent a lot of money on what could have been an amazing celebratory dinner for our anniversary had the service been even a little better. Get over yourself and have a little fun. The hostess was wearing jeans, this shouldn't have had such a pretentious, snooty vibe. We had friends recommend dinner here and we were disappointed, will never be back. It's the next morning and I'm still wishing we had gone somewhere else. It was our 20th anniversary after all!!!

The rooms were really nice...very clean and spacious. This place accommodates dogs. Let me rephrase, they welcome dogs. They had a cot for each of our dogs to sleep in, treats, poop bags, and a coupon for the neighborhood pet shop. I think it says a lot about a place when they welcome dogs with such open arms. Outlook Inn is also situated near the downtown area and is walking distance from some nice shops and restaurants. This doesn't count towards this rating but Orcas island was beautiful. I highly recommend you visit and stay at Outlook Inn, especially if you have a dog.

Great views and so close to everything. There are many stores and restaurants close by that are easy to walk to. The only little complaint we had was that the shower water could've been hotter. But other than that, it was an amazing stay! We will definitely be coming back to stay here!!

We rang the bell, looked around, called their number, but could not locate anyone. My wife and I decided to use the time to explore the island. Charles called, he had been out back doing yard work. When we arrived the second time, we were greeted by Charles with an apology and a tour. The home is tidy, eclectic and quirky. Our room was wonderful. Plenty of space, comfortable bed and charming. Another bonus of staying here was the breakfasts. The food is delicious and unexpected. I did not anticipate seared sushi grade tuna or oat pancakes that rival the best buttermilk pancakes. And the beauty of breakfast times is sitting with other guests along with Jill and Charles discussing everything from how it all began at the Kangaroo B&B to activities to do on the island. I have to say, with the exception of the amazing views from Mount Constitution, the water views from almost everywhere on the island and celebrating my wife, this B&B was a highlight of my trip.

My husband had their normal breakfast and said it was amazing. He hates pancakes but said the ones they made were incredible. Additionally they were very friendly and inviting to an LGBTQ+ couple staying there which made me feel safe and welcome. I look forward to going back in the future!

In the morning, we woke for the breakfast and were served by Amanda who takes deep care of the bed and breakfast. She also has her own little pottery studio next door. She made us some eggs, bacon, pancakes, served with muffins and we got to choose our drink. It felt very cozy to wake up to this. Food is pretty standard when it comes to breakfast, but I liked that it was made upon arrival into the space. After breakfast, we hopped onto the hot tub, it wasn't too hot but more like warm. This could be due to it being freezing cold outside. The lookout was absolutely gorgeous though, very serene I might add. The soaking tub was amazing! I made a point to take a soak before we left as the tub was much larger than the one we have at home, it's extra wide which is great for two people showering at the same time. The location to town can't be beat! We loved being able to walk outside and we were right on the beach, and there were coffee shops and even a grocery store within walking distance. We had a slight snafu when checking in, the keys weren't in the Dropbox and we weren't able to get ahold of the owner right away. A shop owner next store let us in as she knew the code to the building. Small town, it happens. Honestly, we were relieved that someone was there to let is in! We noticed an ant problem while we were there, and this was late March, a bit early for ants. We didn't leave any food out, and we couldn't find a trail where they were coming in from. They seemed to hang out at the dining table, but nowhere else. We think the restaurant next door may have been the reason for the ants. The bed wasn't very comfortable, it felt like sleeping on a futon but it was a Queen sized bed. The kitchen was functional but very small. We found it more than adequate for a one or two night stay if making food at home. Any longer, you may need more space. Overall, we would recommend it for a weekend stay for a couple. I recently was invited out with some friends on their new boat (did I mention how lucky I feel sometimes?) and we had an AMAZING day tied up at the main dock, barbecuing fresh salmon, tossing back a few cold ones, playing some cards, and enjoying a nice relaxing Sunday on the island. There's a lot to love about Sucia. It's isolated (accessible only by boat), uncrowded (because, let's face it, not everybody has a boat), unscathed, and beautiful...yet still has a few "creature comforts" that we semi-outdoorsy types love (like pit toilets, picnic tables, and even cell phone service). If you don't have a boat you can catch one from Orcas or another nearby island - some will even haul your kayak over, too, so you can enjoy some quality time paddling around the island and its beautiful inlets and bays. There are also several lovely campsites right by the main boating dock - can't wait to get back here with my tent, my kayak, and a good book or two. Just remember, if you go on a weekend day get here early for the best spot at the dock!
