Lovely home in a quiet neighborhood with a fabulous breakfast. Good price to boot. Would definitely stay here again.

There's no water, the home is an average home at best, small and a bit creepy. We canceled. We've stayed at other B& B's and this one doesn't even have a sign. We double checked the address and couldn't believe it. We called and canceled, apologized, and went somewhere else. We didn't get even half our money back. I know it was the last moment... but it's not near any water, very small, and no sign. How can you feel safe walking in that? Lesson learned. no more B&B for us, unless it's very well known, and popular.. with a sign!!

I don't know- all were top notch. When we travel we try to stay with local folks, rather than the typical chain hotel. Charter Boat BB was perfect. We dropped in on Friday night and went out for a weeks sail in the San Juan's. My husband forgot a shirt and Faith met us at their coffee/breakfast/lunch place (America's Cup- right at the dock) with it. Thankful! A nice bottle of wine was waiting our arrival. The room was huge, bed and all amenities so comfortable. Coffee maker with a little fridge (containing juice and real cream for coffee!). Plentiful towels and wonderful locally made soaps. And then there's the breakfast! Eggs Benedict, omelette, new potatoes, yogurt, fresh fruit, and the most delicious handmade pastries. All made by Jennifer. You can't go wrong at this mother/daughter owned local business. You'll love it.

Sundara West really offers something for everyone - the most charming and elegant B&B, a superb family cabin, and a comfy glamping option as well. All within the most beautiful and relaxing atmosphere imaginable. I have had many B&B stays, but I must say that Sundara West is absolutely exceptional! Every attention to detail is taken, it is eco-friendly, and the hosts are so kind and helpful. Jackie went above and beyond to make our stay so relaxing, fun and comfortable. The rooms are beautiful, the pool is magical, and the breakfasts were scrumptious. Highly recommend for anyone visiting this area!

We stayed in "The Cottage" and enjoyed the privacy of a porch overlooking a large open field and a view of Mount Baker. Add to that a private hot tub and fire pit and what more could you expect? I guess it would be the well stocked kitchen, spacious grounds and wonderful aroma emanating from the numerous rose bushes that line the lawn area - oh, and the indoor pool, an adjacent large hot tub, and fire pit at which you can mingle with newly acquired friends. Leaving the best for last: The host and hostess are amazing! They accommodated our every need, made us feel at home, and even provided us with S'mores for the fire pit one evening. Yumm! Thanks so much, Marshall and Jackie. We will be back. ;)

In order to deal with Covid19, Riley has an ozone machine that runs for two hours to clean the rooms.' The cleaning wasn't done when we arrived (check in time is 3pm, we arrived slightly after that), so we wandered the far. We got to hold a chicken and pet a rooster, and then we tasted a few lovely ripe tomatoes from the greenhouse. We were excited to see a fig tree, although none of the fruits were ripe. The farmhouse was perfect for us as a couple. Lovely comfortable bedroom, mattress and pillows, with thick and soft sheets. The bathroom was large. The kitchen has everything you could want for cooking. We made pizza and plum jam while we were there. The farm eggs were great, as was the local yogurt and bacon, Dave's organic bread, and freshly roasted coffee. We didn't get any jam or granola (which we read about in other reviews), but we made our own. We loved being able to explore the garden. The kale was sweet and the basil was fragrant! Things to note: I had been really excited about the "soaking tub" but it was a little grimy on the sides. Though I suspect it was because the water there is hard, and I didn't feel comfortable filling the tub to soak in. I had also expected the pizza kit to be a rolled out pizza dough that you just put topping onto. What we got was pizza dough that needed to be rolled/tossed/shaped. The pizza oven also came with minimal instructions so we had to text Riley about it and then google how to make pizza. (450F, precook the crust, then cook the crust with ingredients). The pizza was very good though. We loved the black garlic and the tomato sauce. Riley was generous about sharing the bounty of the land (and sea!) with us, and we loved his hospitality.

Ahh, Whispering Firs. A tale of two sides, if there ever was one. My wife and I stayed here…read morerecently and had some very good experiences and thoughts...but also had some very negative things as well. We had originally booked two nights, but because of the negatives we ended up staying just the first night and checked-out early. Here's the tale of the tape: The Good: - Linda and Vic (the innkeepers) are very nice. Extremely friendly and easy to talk to, Linda made us feel at home straightaway and was great company and conversation during breakfast. - Speaking of, the food was really good. We had blueberry cream cheese pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Along side juice, fruit, and coffee/tea. Linda was also very accommodating toward dietary concerns too. - The property and view is gorgeous! Located up on a mountain area, Whispering Firs overlooks the valley and you can even see the Sound and Whidbey Island. - The house itself is warm, comfortable, and inviting. There's a beautiful deck on the backside that it multi-tiered and has a walking path around little ponds. This would be great for entertaining and lounging. The Bad: - To get there, you have to drive up a half-mile gravel road that is full of potholes and bumps. It's narrow and not something that a regular car can navigate quickly. Wish we had a 4x4 vehicle. - The bed in our room (the North Suite) was way too high. It sounds weird to say that, but at roughly 3 feet high, it was a struggle for my 8 month pregnant wife to literally climb in and out of. - There were no curtains on the windows...just blinds that didn't block out all of the light and sight lines. So, there was a big lack of privacy seeing as the windows looked out onto the deck. - This room is located right next to the breakfast room, so it is extremely loud in the mornings. Breakfast is normally served at 8:30, but our morning had a group that wanted to eat at 7:00. That meant at 6:30 things got rolling on the other side of the wall and we heard it all. Neither Good nor Bad, Just Depends on You Point of View: - There is a large collection of stuffed animals (the taxidermy type) throughout the house and bedrooms. A hunter's paradise...so may not be up your alley. All in all, this could be a lovely place to stay; but it just didn't suite us and fit our needs. For someone else, it might be perfect. In this review, I'm simply wanting you to be better informed that I was. Hope it helps.
