This company was trimming a tree in my neighbor yard yesterday, not my yard. However, they thought…read moreit was okay to throw the limbs and debris into my manicured backyard and onto my fence. It crushed some of my garden there and did surface damage to my wooden fence. My neighbor had told me she was having her tree trimmed but not that they would use my yard. They did not come and tell me they were doing this and I found out as the limbs were crashing down. My neighbor was apologetic but it is this company that is at fault. No one knocked on my door or asked and made a mess of my yard. They cleaned the big limbs up, however they left lots of twigs and debris. I know because I had just finished raking it two days before.

The crew consisted of Jose', Madeline, and Felix. This company has an exceptionally cohesive group of confident arborists and pruners and their camaraderie is readily evident. They function as a well-oiled machine - methodically attentive to safety while working in an efficient, thoughtful manner. And, they all love their jobs. Ben, the estimator, is a great guy. His work plan laid the foundational structure, but the crew was very flexible and the fine-tuning occurred while they were working on site. This is a crew that will work WITH you to achieve your goal. Every single person has a mellow personality and a good heart (a bonus). Once again, this team did an utterly fabulous job. Jose', in particular, often opted to share his decision-making process. Madeline was meticulous and detail-oriented while cleaning out the Japanese red maple (a tedious job). And, Felix cleaned out the underside of the Blue spruce to match what I had begun (taking off all of those small, dead side branches on healthy limbs). I was just so taken aback that he had gone above and beyond. And, of course, the clean-up was meticulous. This was another lovely experience with a fabulous company.

He didn't hesitate to answer my questions and was so incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and kind that I opted to have the company give me a bid. And, I am so very grateful that I did. These guys cleaned the lower 1/3 of the crown my mature blue spruce and my mature Douglas Fir. They removed the deadwood from a tall, red Japanese maple (a delicate soul of a tree). And they trimmed and pruned 2 good size maple trees, each with their own 'special' structural issues. The crew, Mason and Amoe - both arborists, were thoughtful and meticulous in their work. I am a dedicated observer and I like decisions to be collaborative (deferring to their expertise, of course) and they were both beyond kind and easy going. The yard was spotless when they were done. I couldn't be any happier! I would hire them again in a heartbeat! And, as an aside, I am astounded by the number of creatives who work for this company - true artists, photographers, designers, musicians, potters - even a dancer! No wonder I am drawn to these people!

We have used North Idaho Tree Works twice. Each time we have had about 6 medium sized firs…read more(60-75') removed. The ones closest to the house were removed in sections per my request. The others were removed in the typical fashion. The logs were left for firewood. All the other branches and associated debris was mulched and hauled away. (That option was left to my discretion as I could have kept the mulch). The cleanliness was top notch when they left. I had some of the stumps ground out and a few stumps I had cut low as I didn't want to affect the adjoining root balls. Josh will do what you need, but certainly offers good advice in what you should or need to do. I will continue to use NI Tree Works as we move our projects along. They are prompt in the reply, but depending on the time of the season, you might need to get in line for non-emergency tree removal.

I collected four estimates in total and decided to use On Point for the work on my property. I could not be happier with the results. Brett did a stellar job getting the big trees down in what seemed like no time at all. The ugly Alberta spruce trees are merely a distant memory now as they have been completely removed, stumps and all. I found Brett to be completely straightforward and honest about the work I needed done. I even asked him if he saw any other issues with trees on my property about which I should be concerned. I told him I needed top speak to someone and would get back to him in a few days. He left with me waiting on the text with the quote. I received a text a short time later saying he didn't have time in his schedule? How could he not have any time when we didn't agree to any timeline? Written quotes with the expectations on a job are to protect both the home owner and contractor. Companies that won't give a written quote, in my opinion are shady and the customer won't have any recourse if the job is not done correctly.
