12/13/2024 Job #2: I…read morepreviously said that I would hire Spirit Pruners again in a heartbeat and that is exactly what I did. I had another large pruning job . . . 5 trees in all. The crew consisted of Jose', Madeline, and Felix. This company has an exceptionally cohesive group of confident arborists and pruners and their camaraderie is readily evident. They function as a well-oiled machine - methodically attentive to safety while working in an efficient, thoughtful manner. And, they all love their jobs. Ben, the estimator, is a great guy. His work plan laid the foundational structure, but the crew was very flexible and the fine-tuning occurred while they were working on site. This is a crew that will work WITH you to achieve your goal. Every single person has a mellow personality and a good heart (a bonus). Once again, this team did an utterly fabulous job. Jose', in particular, often opted to share his decision-making process. Madeline was meticulous and detail-oriented while cleaning out the Japanese red maple (a tedious job). And, Felix cleaned out the underside of the Blue spruce to match what I had begun (taking off all of those small, dead side branches on healthy limbs). I was just so taken aback that he had gone above and beyond. And, of course, the clean-up was meticulous. This was another lovely experience with a fabulous company.

He didn't hesitate to answer my questions and was so incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and kind that I opted to have the company give me a bid. And, I am so very grateful that I did. These guys cleaned the lower 1/3 of the crown my mature blue spruce and my mature Douglas Fir. They removed the deadwood from a tall, red Japanese maple (a delicate soul of a tree). And they trimmed and pruned 2 good size maple trees, each with their own 'special' structural issues. The crew, Mason and Amoe - both arborists, were thoughtful and meticulous in their work. I am a dedicated observer and I like decisions to be collaborative (deferring to their expertise, of course) and they were both beyond kind and easy going. The yard was spotless when they were done. I couldn't be any happier! I would hire them again in a heartbeat! And, as an aside, I am astounded by the number of creatives who work for this company - true artists, photographers, designers, musicians, potters - even a dancer! No wonder I am drawn to these people!

From the very beginning, Marcelle set the tone. He came out for our consultation and estimate, and before he left, we already had that wonderfully reassuring feeling that we had found an exceptional company. Knowledgeable, professional, personable, straightforward--he "sold" us not with a sales pitch, but simply by the way he represented the company. Then there's Hanna, who seems to have turned communication into an art form. Scheduling, coordination, follow-up, billing--every detail was handled promptly, clearly, and graciously. At no point were we left wondering what was happening or what came next. That kind of communication is increasingly rare, and we appreciated it enormously. And the three-man crew? Superlatives all the way around. Their work was excellent, but what impressed us just as much was 'how' they worked. They were extraordinarily mindful of our property, careful and safe throughout the job, and remarkably clean and tidy. When they were finished, there was virtually no evidence that a tree crew had been there--other than, of course, that everything we hired them to do had been done beautifully. Finally, Blake himself. I've never met him in person; I only know him by his voice on the phone. But sometimes that's enough. Genuine, caring, sincere, personable, and unmistakably service-oriented. Within a few minutes of talking with him, I understood why the company bearing his name operates the way it does. And then came one final surprise: the price. Given the quality of the people, the work, and the overall experience, we were genuinely stunned by how reasonable their pricing was. I have used tree services for nearly half a century, and I cannot recall one I would place in the same category as Blake's Tree Service. Hands down, the best experience we've ever had. As long as we're Idahoans and there are trees that need attention, Blake's Tree Service will be the only call we make. Five stars--and then some.

This company was trimming a tree in my neighbor yard yesterday, not my yard. However, they thought…read moreit was okay to throw the limbs and debris into my manicured backyard and onto my fence. It crushed some of my garden there and did surface damage to my wooden fence. My neighbor had told me she was having her tree trimmed but not that they would use my yard. They did not come and tell me they were doing this and I found out as the limbs were crashing down. My neighbor was apologetic but it is this company that is at fault. No one knocked on my door or asked and made a mess of my yard. They cleaned the big limbs up, however they left lots of twigs and debris. I know because I had just finished raking it two days before.

We had a tree fall on our house last night around 3am (March 12th). We contacted Atlas and they…read moreresponded quickly. They assessed the issue and then came to do the removal. There were 3 branches that came through into the house! Thankfully no injuries. They got the tree and the limbs removed and advised of other roof damage. They were so great to work with, and the fast response was so appreciated. They will also come back to review the other trees to make sure there are no further risks.
