Since moving to South Bay in 2014, I've struggled to find a taco or burrito spot that lives up to my high standards for authentic Mexican food--coming from the Inland Empire, I know what real Mexican food should taste like. Doty's, however, checks all the boxes. The burritos are massive (I usually get two meals out of one), bursting with flavor, and incredibly satisfying. I love the freshly cut cilantro and onion, their homemade chopped chilies, and the salsas that bring just the right amount of heat. My kiddos, ages 3 and 1, are big fans of their rice and chicken tacos. We go once a week, and the only thing I haven't loved so far are the carne asada fries--they're a bit heavy on the cheese, and that's coming from someone who loves cheese. Although it's in a less popular area on Crenshaw, and east of the 405, it's definitely worth the trip. The flavors here are leagues ahead of what you'll find in Manhattan, Hermosa, or Redondo. Tacos are my absolute favorite food so I always jump at the chance to grab some. Went here for a taco run for the first time and I was extremely happy with this choice. They're parked near the cross streets of Crenshaw and Rosecrans. I pulled up on the street to parked and hopped right out. I ordered two chicken tacos and opted for the homemade tortillas. Getting the homemade tortillas was the best decision I made! The chicken was flavorful and the tortilla just sealed the deal. Added some toppings because it just comes plain. You add whatever toppings you want. They have a cilantro sauce that is amazing. Definitely recommend for a taco run! read more

This evening I stood in-front of a young woman that just stared at the hot oil while she made churros. No eye contact, no can I help. As if I wasn't really standing there. I stopped by here on a week night around 5:00pm after missing my lunch so I was starving. I'd heard great things about this place from a friend and since I was in the area anyway, the obvious answer was to stop and get food. There was nowhere to park other than on the street so be on the lookout for parking. When I got to the food truck there wasn't a long line which I greatly appreciated. I ordered a piña agua fresca, a chicken burrito and a shrimp taco. Everything was delicious! This is one of the best chicken burritos I've had in a long time. I utilized the salsa bar and for the avocado salsa which was also delicious. The agua fresca had actual pieces of pineapple in it which was a very nice touch! One of the best taco trucks I've been to! located off of Crenshaw, the line speaks for itself. We ordered chicken and asada tacos and for my vegetarian self, I had a side of beans and rice (rare for a truck!) tortillas and cheese. Was all so flavorful and good! One of my favorite taco trucks in the area (and there are a lot of them in the area). The beef birria tacos with consomé are insanely delicious. Crispy, hot, and so flavorful. Their burritos are huge and also have a great flavor. The horchata is decent but not the best I've ever had, but I'd like to try their other aguas frescas. Their salsa/topping bar is amazing, tons of options that really accentuate the flavor of the food. There's often a line at night but it moves quickly. There are some options for seating but I always take it to go. Service is friendly and fast. Highly recommend! read more

They are always getting my order wrong. I ordered a torta with no onions and no tomatoes and that's the first thing I saw when I opened it. I had called them back to see if they can change it and the guy was straight out just giving me attitude. I didn't pay no $15 for a god damn torta and not enjoy it. I went back and he said that I never put on the order what not to put, when you order online it specifically asks what you want on it and on the receipt it specifically lists what I wanted inside of it. I also paid $1 more for crema and didn't even come with it. If you are gonna charge that much for your food, at least get the orders right and don't be giving your customers attitude over something that you messed up on. read more

And the variety of meats offered is pretty standard. I've only tried pollo, asada, and pastor. All 3 meats are delicious and tender! My favorite has to be the PASTOR though! There's a salsa bar where you can load up on condiments (onions, cilantro, spicy pickled cucumbers, peppers, radishes, etc.). There are 3 salsas available: avocado (no spice), verde (hint of spice but not really), red (EXTREME SPICE). All 3 are very flavorful. What! A second location you say? It seems that the good people at Doty's tacos on Crenshaw have expanded and are now on Praire. Recently, I was driving by and saw a new taco truck but with a familiar design. It was a Doty's taco truck! I was so hyped because this new truck is closer to my house. The tacos were delicious! Dare I say, they might even taste better than the truck on Crenshaw ( I know it's not a competition when it's the same company). You can't go wrong with the stable that is carne asada. The meat was soft and chewy in the most positive way. Their al pastor was also pretty awesome! My new addiction is their chorizo tacos, you need to try some of you visit. I also, expanded my normal orders to include Cuban tortas. They are freaking tasty and filling. If you're really hungry one of these will hit the spot. I believe they just recently began working this location. But I anticipate that the news will soon spread. The only thing lacking is a sitting area to eat your food.
