My nephew-in-law has been raving about this place, "they even have $1 taco Tuesdays and the line is around the corner before they're even open!" More importantly, he really emphasized on how good they are! Hubbers, Cuzzo (+ kids) and I found ourselves close enough on a random Sunday night, so we decided to make a stop. Hubbers decided to just get 2 of a few things (to make things less complicated) and while waiting for grub, Cuzzo and I started packing and sealing sauces and sides. We get home and boy, that's a lotta stuff! I let everyone else get ahead of it and take their picks. By the time I got to it, there was only the al pastor and carne asada left. No biggie! VERDICT: Above average, sure, but (I know... there's a "but") I've had better - of both carne asada and al pastor. I felt they were missing a bit of an "umph", maybe? FOOD: 3.5. SERVICE: 3. VALUE: 5. I believe at $2/pop?? Worth it! PARKING: Street only. After all, they're street vendors! OVERALL: 3.75. I will return because unlike all them other street taco vendors I've experienced lately, I didn't really get to pick what I wanted. I may be able to make a better assessment then...

@tacoselbanquetazo is the best! My Wife and I live nearby, and after seeing food stands/trucks on Prairie Avenue and RBB decided to walk over for dinner. We each got a burrito, she got the asada and I got the pastor. They have a huge table of condiments to choose from (cilantro/onions, cucumber, pico de gallo, marinated onion) The burritos were fabulous, and there were 3 varieties of salsa (avocado, green tomatillo and a red )the avocado was medium and the heat increased the the above order I definitely recommend trying.. The except numerous types of payment, Zelle/Paypal/Venmo and T-Sun 6-11:30 (parking limited on Prairie)

One Dollar Tacos on Tuesday makes it a super Happy Taco Tuesday! This taco stand is on Prairie Ave, nearest the corner of Redondo Beach Blvd. Parking is not so easy unless you're willing to walk for your meal. We ended up parking over halfway between Redondo Beach Blvd and Manhattan Beach Blvd. My husband was driving by this place late at night one Tuesday about a month ago and stopped to bring some tacos home for us. He told me the tacos were a buck each! The tacos were really good because it was quite a late dinner/bedtime snack! He brought home a bunch of condiments, too! Well, I just got back from two weeks in CO, and we were up for some tacos. Especially $1 tacos, so we set off to join the masses that were already in line. Although there were a lot of people in line and waiting, the process went quickly enough and was smooth. Tacos are $2 at their regular price, which is still a great deal! They sell Burritos, Tortas, Papa Rellena, Alambre, Quesadillas, etc. The meats they have are Al Pastor, Asada, Pollo, Cabeza, Buche, Tripa, Chorizo, and Suadero. The drinks you can get are Horchata, Jamaica, Limonada, Pina, Naranja, and Sodas. Their condiments station is loaded with pretty much anything you'd find at a restaurant! You fill the cups or bags yourself. They have cilantro & onions, pickled habanero & onions, cucumbers, avocado salsa, red salsa, pico de gallo, and lemon wedges Be sure to go near the grill so you can grab some grilled onions and jalapeños! We took our food home. It seemed simpler. They have about 10 stools to sit on, but there are no tables. I need a place to set my food and condiments on. You can pay digitally via Zelle, Venmo, or Paypal. I'm not sure if they accept Credit Cards since they take those other types of payments. We paid with cash. They are CLOSED ON MONDAYS. They are open TUES-SUN from 5:30PM to 12:00 Midnight. You can follow them at Tacos El Banquetazo on Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok. With efficient service, excellent food, all the condiments you'd need, and affordability, how could anyone not like this place?!? We'll be back!

Always great eating here, I had a ball trying out the burrito. It was to die for. Great pricing too!

Raúl's Casa Sombrero has been a South Bay hub for many years for those that are wanting a feeling…read moreof homemade Mexican dishes and company. First, just like most casual Mexican restaurants you are greeted with house made salsa and chips to snack on while you study the menus for your meal. The salsa is very fresh and the chips are not, thank goodness, over salted. It's a perfect starter! I enjoyed the meal option of four chicken flautas with rice, beans, and perfectly portioned guacamole and sour cream. You are able to make your own choice of meat stuffing, which I love, knowing that the flautas are freshly made. I chose to have chicken and found it to be perfectly fried, not overly seasoned, which some places do. I like that you can actually taste the chicken and not just spice. I also had the horchata to drink, and I loved it! The service is wonderful, with many families flocking to the restaurant for that homemade feel for dinner. The staff has always been kind enough to offer a refill of your drink/soda to go if you wish. Kindness from the staff is a real highlight of Raul's. The ambiance of being at home is a plus for me. There are a few handicap parking spots available in the small adjoined parking lot, with easy wheelchair access through the front door. There is also plenty of parking spots located on the street and in the available parking lot located in the middle of Hawthorne Blvd. There is a television with captions on for those that are HOH, hard of hearing. Being a hearing aide user, I sincerely appreciated this. I consider this a hidden gem in Hawthorne.

Still super delicious. I really have to try their enchiladas lol. I am forever getting their beef…read moreflautas. I don't think I've ever tried anything else but this and their chile rellenos. Those are also good. Pricing is reasonable. Enough portion for me. Sufficient parking. Clean indoors. Pretty safe area. Customer service is good. Never had an issue in all the years I have come here. I don't live close for the past 6 years but I love coming here when I'm down here
