Receipt for my food

Ok, I don't like writing negative reviewws. However, I was here because two friends recommended the place. I genuinely wanted to have a positive experience. Parking is small but it was slow when I arrived. When I walked in a older gentleman with thick glasses took my order. I ordered the fish and shrimpp soup (sopa de pescado y camarones). I was starving had not had any food the entire day, we all know that when you are hungry anything taste good. Not this soup, it had no flavor at all, the vegetables were old and it was NOT worth the $17 i was charged including a Mexican coke. Perhaps the other foods do taste good but the soup was horrible. I ate (half) because I was hungry. I did not make any compliants s or make any suggestions because I am certain that if you do complainn here more than likely they kick out. Last I asked for a receipt so that I could expense my dinner but the dude gave me this (see pic) I have no idea what this is ? What percentage of tax ( Hawthorne is 10.5%) are youu charging me?? Bottom line, never, never coming back or referring any of my friends and family. This place was not me but I am happy to share this because I was not here for free. I am a paid customer!!! Thanks

Shrimp Ceviche
Estela V.

Best Shrimp Ceviche I've ever had! If you prefer a more savory ceviche- dress the tostada with tapatio, lime and a little salt . Soooo bomb

Steer clear! Came to this spot because we are always looking for good ceviche and seafood. If I could give this place a zero I would. Ceviche was made with ketchup. It tasted old and smelled rotten and slimy. No ice in our micheladas, my shrimp al mojo de ajo looked like apple sauce. And had No flavor. The rice was store bought. This all put a horrible taste in our mouths. We just couldn't eat it. We got up and left. Worst $35 ever spent.

Aguachile, carne asada nachos, Carne Asada tacos , chicken taco, and complementary chips and guacamole.

Tried this place for the first time on my way back to Long Beach from LAX... this place was great! Friendly service, amazing food, and mom & pop atmosphere. All the food was good and I'd definitely go back. Oh, fyi... they charge 4% if you use debit or credit card so bring cash if you can.

Both were excellent, well balanced, and made with quality tequila. The shrimp taquitos disappeared fast and were easily one of the highlights of the meal. For our entrees, I ordered the lobster and shrimp enchiladas. They were rich, creamy, and loaded with seafood. The rice and black beans were seasoned well, which I always appreciate because sides can make or break a meal. My date had the rib eye tacos, and the steak was cooked perfectly and incredibly tender. The cheesy potatoes underneath were so good I had to steal a few bites. What really elevated the experience was our waiter, Anderson. He was an absolute delight. Friendly, attentive, and personable without hovering over the table. Service like that makes a difference. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a great date night spot. Even the bathrooms were spotless and well kept, which always says something about how a restaurant is run. We left full, happy, and made it to our jazz concert right on schedule. Great food, excellent cocktails, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back. We'll definitely be visiting Caló Kitchen + Tequila again.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and made the experience easy from start to finish. The drinks were probably our favorite part they tasted great and were almost too pretty to drink. As for the food, our honest take is that the appetizers are the way to go. Everything we tried was tasty, but based on our visit, there wasn't one main dish that really stood out or made us feel like we had to order it again. Overall, this is a place we'd come back to more for the atmosphere, drinks, and shared bites. Great energy, beautiful presentation, and a fun place to spend the evening.

First, just like most casual Mexican restaurants you are greeted with house made salsa and chips to snack on while you study the menus for your meal. The salsa is very fresh and the chips are not, thank goodness, over salted. It's a perfect starter! I enjoyed the meal option of four chicken flautas with rice, beans, and perfectly portioned guacamole and sour cream. You are able to make your own choice of meat stuffing, which I love, knowing that the flautas are freshly made. I chose to have chicken and found it to be perfectly fried, not overly seasoned, which some places do. I like that you can actually taste the chicken and not just spice. I also had the horchata to drink, and I loved it! The service is wonderful, with many families flocking to the restaurant for that homemade feel for dinner. The staff has always been kind enough to offer a refill of your drink/soda to go if you wish. Kindness from the staff is a real highlight of Raul's. The ambiance of being at home is a plus for me. There are a few handicap parking spots available in the small adjoined parking lot, with easy wheelchair access through the front door. There is also plenty of parking spots located on the street and in the available parking lot located in the middle of Hawthorne Blvd. There is a television with captions on for those that are HOH, hard of hearing. Being a hearing aide user, I sincerely appreciated this. I consider this a hidden gem in Hawthorne.

Those are also good. Pricing is reasonable. Enough portion for me. Sufficient parking. Clean indoors. Pretty safe area. Customer service is good. Never had an issue in all the years I have come here. I don't live close for the past 6 years but I love coming here when I'm down here

Licha's is closed Tuesday, open Mon to Sat 9a to 630p and Sun 9a to 5p. Both Yelp and Google have incorrect times.... which is why I could not make it before. Also, look for parking on the street, the parking lot is tiny. Any case, all of Licha's staff (owners?) are sweet and friendly. I felt at home immediately. Now about the food! and coffee, both are excellent. The Cafe de Olla is fantastic.... I almost never get coffee outside my home but when I come here, I WILL! For my first time here, I had the menudo with all the fixing. What I loved the most is that is all meat, no hominy to fill you up. I LOVED IT! Almost like my Mom used to make. The Tortillas ARE HOME MADE. They were excellent. See the pictures.... I finished everything, including the fixings (onions, fresh lemons, limes and cilantro. Btw, the house salsa is good but the habanero version is DELICIOUS but VERY HOT with excellent flavor and texture. Yummm. Because I was do full but still very excited to be here, I ordered 3 Al Pastor tacos with everything. I can hardly wait to eat them when I get hungry again. All in all, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Licha's.
