Disappointed. The food is average at best. I got the breakfast bowl with sausage and the blueberry waffles. The egg was overcooked on the breakfast bowl it lacked flavor. The only positive about the blueberry waffle was that it wasn't overcooked. The coffee/latte is not that great. The price is competitive, however the quality is not there to back up the price. The worse part was the wait time. It took 30 minutes for me to get my food. By the time I got my food, I was already done with my latte. Perhaps they should just focus on the cupcakes and the baked goods. read more

This place is amazing. Since being quarantined I found out they do a family night dinner and I couldn't be more pleased, it's like my birthday every time I get a delicious meal. I've tried at least 10 dinners and or brunches. The cioppino and gumbo are truly fantastic but actually everything is!! The presentation is a class act and of course the desserts are yummy. This is the best neighborhood cafe. The ambience is so pretty and there is rose gold decor and a pretty mural inside the restaurant as well as outside the building. They currently have a pretty xmas tree inside with streamers dangling which is prefect for taking family photos. The cupcakes and pastries are decadent and they have mini sizes perfect for my son. They serve breakfast and lunch menu and i come here about once a week or every two weeks to eat lunch. We usually order the grilled chicken with vegetables or a kids pasta meal which i can share with my son. If you haven't been here you must come and try the food. I took my son here for his birthday because it's our favorite place to eat in town. They have workshops help here for cookie or cake making, but i'd love to try it in the future. I should have gotten the brioche breakfast sandwich but switched to the breakfast burrito with avocado instead. Unfortunately the avocado was turning and it spoiled the flavor of the burrito. Informed the staff and they immediately made offers to get me something else (I declined). I decided to host my sister's bridal brunch at Dots because of it's cute ambiance and their website looked like they had good food. My reservation was for 10 adults and 2 kids. They told me there is a separate menu for 12+ guests and a non-refundable $100 set- up fee. When I came into the restaurant to set up, the tables they had "reserved" for the bridal shower were separated into 2 tables - a bar height table with stools (fits 8 people), and a separate regular table that sits 4. REALLY?!? If they were going to give me two separate tables, the least they can do is make sure the tables are the same height! My friend and I start to move other tables together because there were PLENTY of tables that were the same height, and the store manager whom I had email comes and tells me that they reserve the rights to keep the tables as they are. GIRL, THIS IS BRIDAL SHOWER with a reservation made 3 weeks prior. I didn't pay $100 set-up fee to be seated on two different height tables. She sees my annoyance and realizes her dumb mistake. She puts the same height tables together, but then leaves!....so, my friend and I end up moving all the utensils and chairs from the reserved table to the new table. By the way, my decoration were 3 vases with flower bouquets. THAT'S IT. And I get charged $100. Oh...and the food....Ugh. The store manager had emailed me a separate menu. At first I thought it was a bit steep for breakfast at $20 per person (drinks were included). The options for breakfast was: Starter - fruit bowl or oatmeal Entree - 1) Breakfast Sandwich (choice of avocado, bacon, or sausage), or 2) Breakfast plate (scramble eggs, with above protein choice, hash brown & toast), or 3) Waffle plate (it's breakfast plate replacing hash brown & toast with waffles) I am not a 5 star chef or anything, but the menu look like something I can make for my kids at home, but I thought there is probably something different about their breakfast. NOP! The scrambled eggs seemed to have come from a box. They were cold, bright yellow, and nothing else! No salt, no pepper...just plain scrambled eggs. My friend said her avocado tasted sour. I got the breakfast plate and the hash browns were rectangular patties that look like McDonalds. Toast was dry. REaLLY?!? com'on...at least have a special sauce or something. Geez. The coffee was soooo strong, I could only take a few sips. The service was really awful. The 1st waiter asked us what we wanted to order from the wall menu and I told him that I was told we had a separate menu because of our reservation. He looked super confused, leaves, and comes back to apologize, and then asked us what we wanted from the menu that the manager had emailed me. HMM...I don't have it by memory. DON'T YOU HAVE THE PAPER MENU?!?! I am so annoyed, so I pull out my phone and start to read out the menu to my 10 guests! He appears embarrassed...leaves, and another waiter comes to tell us our menu options. Seriously...18% gratitude is freaking included in my reservation and I have to read the menu from my phone?!??! We also had to get our own water. Couldn't they at least bring us jars of water to the table? What is so upsetting about this whole experience is that the store manager Diana (the person whom I had emailed back and forth with) never once came to our table to check-in or to ask me about how everything was...all she did was tell me not move the tables and that she was not going to charge me extra $20 for the 1 guest that did not show up. REALLY?!? I didn't come to buy a $3 cupcake...I came and spent over $350 to host a bridal brunch. This was such an awful experience and so embarrassing that the bride witness their incompetence. Bottom line - horrible service and over priced and poor quality food. If you are looking for a quick self-serve service and 'cute' place to take picture, you'll get that...but don't come here for food or service. read more

Can I just say, what an adorable little cafe! I was awestruck every time I turned my head. The creativity was just beautiful. Service was amazing. Staff is so friendly. My family couldn't decide what flavor cupcakes they wanted and we were addressed by three different people eager to help. I'm so glad I finally gave this place a chance, as I had been discouraged before by other Yelp reviewers. (By the way, this review is strictly for their breakfast & lattes.) From the moment I walked in it was so aesthetically pleasing, the colors, the furniture, awww I loved it. And then the food, I ordered a breakfast sandwich with avocado but requested the egg over easy & they delivered. FYI- Avocado is more like puree/ sauce vs sliced. Then, the latte I ordered was a small hazelnut latte with Almond milk & it was great! I could taste the 2 shots of espresso which is my kind of latte to get me going, but still sweet enough. Definitely check this place out if you need a mood boost or want a good tasting latte. P.S. look how cute & thoughtful the bathroom is - purse hangers, hello beautiful! This is a community gem. Tried it for the first time six months ago, based on a friend's recommendation. The cafe is charming, and the service excellent. Their family meals are an outstanding value, and usually feeds four. I love the variety of the menu; the owner is very creative in her meals. I know it's a huge challenge for restaurants to stay afloat during this pandemic. I'm so very impressed by the creativity and resourcefulness of this cafe to continue on. This is a really great place for a coffee stop during the day. My wife loves the floral walls and atmosphere. We ordered two cupcakes, the carrot cake and the chocolate and they were both delicious. Such a cute and fun place to grab a bite to eat. The aesthetics of the place are definitely instagram worthy. Staff is super friendly, helpful, and well knowledgable in their products. I come here every now and then and LOVE the feeling I get when I walk in. Food is great, drinks are delicious, but the desserts are the best part! The entire plaza is super aesthetic so make sure to visit the stores next door too. The exterior also has really cute walls for pictures. This place is so cute! It's where I like to bring kiddo for breakfast when it's just him and I. He behaves because he sees the cupcakes. They have a breakfast bowl that is healthy (I just get it without potatoes), that is delicious! Flavor is perfect and it's very filling. Must order the delicious family meals! They post a new menu online every week. The typical dinner for four is $44 and extra-special dinners are around $80. They also have brunch options on the weekends, but I haven't tried those yet. Generous helpings and dessert is included. If you need a break from cooking dinner (and who doesn't) this is a wonderful option. You need to order before noon and pick up dinner between 4:30 and 5:30PM, but you can reheat the dishes at home.
